Football--6th Grade Knights

For those who don't already know, we LOVE football! Like really really love football. We actually probably love it too much, especially when it comes to Jackson's team...the 6th Grade Lone Peak Knights!

Jackson's played in the Lone Peak program since 3rd grade. He's had the same coaches every year and played with more or less the same kids every year. He's had the opportunity to play several different positions including lineman, Tight End, Wide Receiver and this year, Quarterback! Since I was really excited about his success as a tight end and receiver I wasn't super thrilled about him taking the reigns at QB, but it turns out he takes after his dad and was great at it! Despite my near debilitating nervousness every Saturday, this last season of football was one of the best yet in Jack's short 5 year career!

Unfortunately we lost our first game, but these boys fought hard to win every game after that until they lost in the championship game. It was definitely a heartbreaker but every parent, coach and fan was proud of the boys for how much heart they showed and how they battled it out on the field week after week after week! This little team won in every way possible this year. They won in overtime, they blew their opponents out, they had EPIC come from behind wins, they won in close games. It really was so fun to watch and be a part of and we can't wait until next year!
