the river, swollen and muddy
After recent storms the river was running full, fast, and very muddy. Here the river passes under the Hunter Street bridge.

City Daily Photo: Paths and Passages
Today is the first of the month and that means "Theme Day"! February's theme is Paths and Passages.
It is also an exercise in learning that duplicating a photo is nearly impossible! I keep getting drawn back to this footbridge across the river and the previous photo I took was, to me at least, amazing. I still like this one but it certainly has a different feel to it. I know the lighting is different, the foliage is different, the crop is different, etc. But there's something appealing about the eerie quality the original had.

and for comparison October's photo of the same spot...

the weir and Hunter Street bridge
Or is it the "flosh" I've heard this particular spot referred to by both terms.
The weir serving Town Mill, and the bridge carrying Hunter Street over the Ouse.
