ballet mouse

I have a card to share with you today using the "ballet mouse" digital image by Lori Boyd and for my card I used the sketch over at Techno Stamper as my inspiration.

I used papers by Cosmo Cricket from the "earlybird" collection, button and twine are from my stash.

and the mojo continues...

As I said in my post yesterday I seem to have gotten my mojo back and here are a couple more cards that I created the other day.

This first card was created for the challenge over at Get Sketchy GS72. You can't see my cardstock panel too well due to the lighting but I used my scorepal to create lines like on the sketch below. I used another one of my satin bloom flowers and the sentiment is a rub-on by pebblesinc.

My next card is for the sketch at Clean and Simple and I used some old papers by basicgrey from the "boxer" collection. The sentiment is a vinyl rub-on by EAD designs that was a gift from Amy and to finish off the card I used some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon.

That's it for today.
Enjoy!

Mojo found

As a few of you know I have had a problem with my Mojo lately or should I say lack of. Well guess what came home to me today? Yep, my MOJO is back and what other than the sketch from Mojo Monday to put me back on track.

This is the sketch that inspired my card and my mojo. I used some old papers in my stash from the BasicGrey "offbeat" collection along with a Martha Stewart doily, some May Arts ribbon and some seam binding that I colored with my E25 copic marker to match the BG papers. The sentiment is from PTI. I cut out a square and then created the rolled rose.

As long as my Mojo was back I decided to do the sketch from Cardabilities this week. I used another collection of BasicGrey papers "basic white", a prima flourish and one of my handmade satin flowers in deep purple.

And here is the sketch I used for inspiration.

Stop back tomorrow as I have a couple more cards to share with you. I figured as long as I was in a card creating mood I might as well put it to good use.

Enjoy!

Today is a special new release over at A Day for Daisies as Tammy has come up with some wonderful new images.

Notice my card this is my two little cuties Cassie Jo and Micah and Tammy created this image from the following photo that I sent to her.

This is one of my favorite photos of the two of them. Noticed I changed up the coloring in the clothing and then I added some handmade wrinkle ribbon in Kiwi Lime and added a rolled rose.

floral fantasy

Oh yes, it is Wednesday and time for another sketch challenge over at Sasya's Sketches. This would of been my last post as a member of the Design Team but Sasya has asked me to stay on for one more term and of course I had to say yes.

For my card this week I used the MFT rolled rose and the Martha Stewart leaf punch. The papers are from PTI and the stamp is by SU and was a gift from my friend Connie.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

I hope you can play along with us.

No MOJO

I am trying to get my Mojo back as it has left and went somewhere else. I even went to Michael's today hoping something would grab my attention and put my MOJO back where it belonged, but that did not happen either.

So I dug into the archives and found this card I made last week before it left.

This is a new Penny Black stamp that I picked up last week at Anchor Paper when I was there. I like the simplicity of the image and decided all it needed was some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon.

Enjoy!

saturday

The temp is finally above zero and I am going to venture outside for awhile and run some errands.

First I have a couple cards to share with you. The first card I made for this weeks challenge over at Cardabilities and it is a sketch challenge.

For this card i used up my leftover scraps from the Be Mine papers by Echo Park. I made the flower using some May Arts ribbon and then added some pink dew drops to the center. Butterflies are by Martha Stewart.

This is the sketch that inspired my card.

This next card is a just because card. I bought this cute dinosaur image over at The Cats Pajama's and just had to use it.

The embossing folder is one of my new favorites by Sizzix. I colored the image with Copics and then colored some ribbon to match.

Enjoy!

organic soul - thanks

This is my second post for today if you are looking for my new release image from A Day for Daisies please scroll down.

Besides being new release Friday over at A Day for Daisies it is also time for our 10th challenge. Todays challenge is called "Organic Soul" and we are to create a card using something organic. Pressed leaves on trees, dried flowers in flowing hair, a sandy beach, or homemade paper, anything that inspires you! I am sure you will not find it hard to be inspired by the beautiful world around us.

I must admit this was a tough challenge for me as it is winter here so I could not go out and pull any leaves or flowers for my card.

What I did for my card is create the background paper using a leaf branch image and spraying over it and on it with 'patina' glimmer mist. I like how it did the shadow.

The image I used is by Tammy at A Day for Daisies and it is called "jar of wild lilies". I colored the flowers with my copics, added some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon, tiny type stickers by Cosmo Cricket and a lace die by MFT.

I hope you will join us in this weeks challenge.

Enjoy!

thinking of you

It is Friday and that means time for a new release over at A Day For Daisies and this weeks release is all about Fairies.

Meet this weeks release " I believe in Fairies".

I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch for my inspiration (notice I rotated the sketch).

Thanks for stopping by and looking.

Oh Happy Day

There is a new challenge up over at Claudia and Company and I knew I had to play.

The challenge is to create a card using red, green and yellow.

For my card I used papers from the "modern homemaker" collection by October Afternoon along with my stamp girl with kite designed by Lori Boyd for Claudia and Co.

I had so much fun making this card. The card shape is a nestability die and the circle is embossed with a SU embossing folder called square lattice.

Enjoy!

Love YOU Bunches

It is time for the 2nd challenge over at By Lori Designs and it is once again a color challenge.

For my card I used one of Lori's puddle jumper images called Harper. She comes with her own little doll and sentiment too.

The inspiration for my card came from this weeks sketch at CPS.

I hope you will play along with us this week.

Enjoy!

butterfly wishes

I finally picked up some doilies to use on a card and this weeks sketch challenge over at Sasya's Sketches was the perfect time to pull them out.

Along with the doily I used papers from the BasicGrey "lemonade" collection. I love the colors and patterns in this line. The butterfly is a PTI die and I added white gloss enamel to the butterfly.

I hope you will take some time this week to play along with us.

be mine

I created another card using the new Echo Park "be mine" collection and I wanted to share it with you along with another layout that I did.

Along with the new Echo Park papers I used some PTI felt and created a rolled rose, the leaf is a SU die and the stickers are Cosmo Cricket.

I used this weeks sketch over at Skipping Stones Design as my inspiration for my card.

I also have a layout to share that I did of Cassie using a couple of pictures that I took this past summer when we were up in Wahpeton visiting family.

I used this weeks challenge over at Lasting Memories for my layout which was a recipe challenge. We were to use 1 ribbon, 2 buttons and 3 colors.

Papers are by MME, ribbon is by American Crafts and the rolled roses are by imaginisce.

Enjoy!

i love you

I worked on Saturday at Anchor Paper and was so happy to see that we had gotten in some of the Echo Park v "be mine" papers.

They were perfect for my card today and matched the PTI felt spot on. I added a little bit of stitching to the hearts too. The sticker is SRM from the "valentine" collection.

I used this weeks sketch over at Techno Stamper as my inspiration.

Stop back tomorrow for this weeks challenge over at Sasya's Sketches.

Enjoy!

monday

It is the start of a new week and I have a couple cards to share with you before I head over to visit my two favorite people for a couple days.

This first card is for this weeks challenge over at clean and simple stamping and I have once again used the newest release from BasicGrey called "hopscotch".

This is the sketch FTL123 that I used for my inspiration.

My next card uses papers by Webster's Pages along with a big muslin flower that I made. I don't know about you, but I just love the look of these flowers on cards. I think I need a trip to the fabric store to check out some other kinds of fabrics for flowers.

I took the inspiration for this card from this weeks sketch 98 over at Card Patterns.

That is it for me today.
Enjoy!

outdoors

I don't know if I ever told you but Micah has a shoe fettish and has had one since he was really small. He loves to play with shoes and he knows exactly who's shoes are who's.

So you know I had to have a picture of his new red converse that I got him last Fall on one of our many playdates.

I wasn't sure if I was going to share this layout at first since I wasn't quite sure I liked the papers and color combo that I picked, but after staring at it for two days...I think I like it.

I used the February Guest DT sketch over at Sketchy Thursday for my inspiration.

This layout is my 3rd done so far and posted to my blog this year. It is for my resolution of posting one layout a week to get me motivated to scrapbook more in 2011. I have done several other pages too this year but I am only counting the ones that make it to my blog for this challenge to myself.

I will be back tomorrow with a card or two to share with you.

Enjoy!

Saturday, January 15, 2011

It is another cold day here in Minnesota and nothing like sitting in your jammies, watching movies and being crafty.

I have a couple cards to share with you today and the first one is for the challenge over at Cardabilities. It is a sketch challenge which is my favorite.

Papers for my card are by BasicGrey from the new "hopscotch" collection. Don't you just love the colors? Below is the sketch that inspired this card.

My next card uses the same papers along with one of Lori Boyd's digital images and some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon.

I used Tracy's sketch from Eat Sleep Stamp for my inspiration for this card.

Okay that is it for me today ~ stop back tomorrow and I will have a layout to share with you.

new relase day

It is Friday and that means time for a new relase over at  A Day for Daisies and this weeks release is called "fairy dresses". I used the mushroom image for my card because you all know how much I love clean and simple cards.

Besides the fairy mushroom image I used Cosmo Cricket "tiny type" stickers and created the border with my scorepal. Cardstock is Neenah solar white linen.

Here are the images for this weeks release and they are available over at ADFD in the just picked section.

Enjoy!

tssc156 and just because

I have a couple cards to share with you today. The first card was created for this weeks challenge over at Techno Stamper.

This was a fun sketch and I used papers from BasicGrey's "marjolaine" collection.

My next card was created for this weeks challenge over at Inspired Crafters and when I went to load my card I realized that it was supposed to be a Christmas Card.

Oh well I like how it turned out so will just post it for the fun of it. I used October Afternoon papers, chipboard and mini market stickers from the "modern homemaker" collection.

My last card I have to show you uses one of my recent digital purchases from "squigglefly". I had not used it yet and wanted to create a fun just because card.

Such a fun image to color and I added the embossing folder and some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon.

Enjoy!
