Skier pops a backflip while outrunning an Avalanche

Competing in the Swatch Skiers Cup, Sverre Liliequist was having an epic run. Couple of big jumps, some powder carves at speed and then an avalanche starts up behind him. Not to get to over excited about it though, he decides to keep to his line and pops a cheeky backflip, literally landing on the avalanche, before riding away from it. I hope he won the contest....

Jordy Smith - The world's best surfer, with the worst luck?

As South African surf fans, we all slumped our shoulders and sighed with dissapointment when Jordy Smith got knocked out in the second round at the Rip Curl Pro Portugal. We all believe in our wonder kid and we desperately need him to win a World Title. So what is going on with the prodigy? No one denies that Jordy is one of the most talented surfers of all time. He brings more raw power to pro surfing than the rest of the field on tour and commentators, industry pundits and the fans all agree he absolutely rips. So where has this season gone wrong for him? Is he just absolutely unlucky and in need of a Sangoma to rustle up some good fortune magic on his behalf, or are the judges to blame as many online peers would have us believe. My thinking steers me to the former. Sometimes the dice just don't roll for you and in Jordy's case, they aint even leaving his hand. There is only one thing for him to do, keep at it! So don't stop supporting our number 1 just yet South Africa, Lady luck is fickle, but she can change fortune in the blink of an eye. 100m on a Breath - Freedive World record

Swimming down into the deep blue without fins or weights to assist, William Trubridge set a new World Record. He did it to highlight the plight of New Zealand's, Hector Dolphin, but it was shot in Dean's Blue hole in the Bahamas.

Dirt Bike Porn - Where the Trail Ends

Watching the trailer I start thinking that I may need to purchase a downhill rig again soon. These guys are seriously pushing the limits of what is possible in Freeriding. These are not many ridden trails on their local hill, but serious mountains in some remote areas of the planet. I cannot wait to watch the full movie.

Massive Cloubreak Free Surf on Day 6 - Volcom Pro Fiji 2012

The massive swell arrived as expected, but the contest only lasted 2 heats, with Bede and Kai Otton winning the heats and moving into Round 3. The ASP made the call to wait for today to start Round 3, which will probably go down at Restaurants. Once the tour had puled out, the hordes of big wave charges were out there, with some of the more core Tour surfers joining the fray in solid 15ft Cloudbreak. Luckily the contest left the live feed running and we got to watch a rare free surf in giant waves. Enjoy the video...

Following recent trends, international Ski star, Bobby Brown, has also started his own web series, with Red Bull. The Ski boys are no longer in the background and are going huge on the slopes, in the park and in the backcountry. In this episode they get to play in front of a Phantom camera shooting at up to 1000 frames per second. I really enjoyed how the camera guy explained shooting on the Phantom and what it is like having this amazing camera to shoot with.
