I have always been a fan and love watching the live Webcasts, but I have to admit, that since playing Surfer Magazine's Fantasy Surfer, I am even more focused on the tour. Exploring Kauai with Pro Surfer, Alana Blanchard

Not only has Kauai's Alana Blanchard made it back onto the World Tour for 2013, but she has her own web series. This is Episode 3, where she takes us on a tour of the remote Na Pali coastline, which is one of the most beautiful, remote places on the island. Alana and good friend Leila Hurst explore the wild coast by boat, finding hidden waterfalls, crystal blue lagoons, and towing in the boat's wake alongside dolphins in the open ocean.

This week I had Pro Surfer and very cool lady, Tanika Hoffman in studio to promote her new surf school with Vudu Surf. Fresh out of the junior ranks, she is giving the qualifying tour a crack in 2013. I can think of very few girls I would rather be taught how to surf by.
Wayne Craig, the boss of Plett and the Wedge Classic (Seriously, he is up for DA leadership in the area) joined us to talk about Plett, food and of course his favorite pastime, the NSRI.

The Friday Mix - Distant Shores Trailer, Erzberg Enduro and California Summer Surf

Welcome to my Friday Mix, fresh from the hi speed bandwidth of the West coast of the USA. It has been a trip having such unfettered and fast internet access and I have been making the most of it. First up check out the trailer for Surfer Magazine's "Distant Shores" film, which will be free to download shortly. Then we have the highlights video from the Red Bull Erzberg Rodeo, the craziest enduro race on the planet. Frank Solomon, Anthony Raynard & Jadyson Costa - Champion line up!

 This show was so packed with Action Sports Athletes, I almost did not know who to ask what. First off we dedicated the show and 2 tracks to David, who died tragically last week in a shark attack. We also discussed the current shark debate with all the guests. First up were Jadyson Costa, the current welterweight EFC Africa Champion, Anthony Raynard, SA MX Champion and Frank Solomon, big wave surfer. All three were of the opinion that the other three were more hardcore and this led to some good laughs. Anthony came to promote the SA National Motorcross champs this weekend in Melkbos. Later Frank and I were joined by free surfer, Andrew "Roosta" Lange and we ended off the show with Roosta and his partner in music, Craig, as the "Non-violent fisherman" played us out with a great Led Zeppelin cover. Enjoy the show!

Wilko Whiplash in Sumbawa

Wilko has been hot and cold on the WCT, but when he has fired it has been a pleasure to watch. He thought he would prepare for the start of the tour later this month, with a short trip to Sumbawa in Indonesia. There, he proceeded to annihilate every wave, whether left or right, that came across his path. Trust me on this - Wilko is going to surprise some folks on the WCT this year!
