Our New Blog

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry for all the lack of posts this summer. It has taken me a while to figure out what my options were. After trying a couple of things, I finally decided it wasn't worth paying for storage each month and so I've started a new blog. I hope you'll still look in on our lives now and then! The new address is:http://robertsfamily2.blogspot.com

Help!

Hi everyone--I need help! I've been wanting to post about so many things we've done this summer, but it keeps saying that I've "reached my limit" on my blog and I can't post any more pictures! I didn't even know that there was a limit?!? Has anyone else encountered this problem? I can't afford to print off my blog yet, so what do I do now? Create another blog? Help!

End-of-the year Field Trips

Caysja's Kindergarten class took some pretty awesome field trips at the end of the year. I was able to go as a chaperone for several of them. They went to Kangaroo Zoo (a bounce place) as well as Hogle Zoo. Our ward also took a little "field trip" of the Bountiful temple as a primary activity.

It was such a nice day
We had an easter egg hunt in the backyard on Saturday.  (Do you like all the snow?)

Hot Pots, visit from G&G, & Chuck E. Cheese

My parents came for a visit over General Conference weekend since it was also their spring break.  We took them to the Ogden hot pots and they loved it.  It's right next to the Ogden River.  There are about 6 different hot pots--just big enough for one family each.  The water is SUPER hot--you have to add river water in until it reaches a nice temperature.

Isn't this waterfall beautiful?
My mom was so nice to trim Caysja's hair.
I really should have taken more pictures while they were here.  I totally forgot!  We went on bike rides, to the park, and they were so nice to watch our kids for us so we could go on a date!
I love Capri's "Cheese"
On Saturday in between conference sessions, we headed to Chuck E. Cheese for Caysja's cousin Nelah's 6th B-day party.  My kids had never been there before and they loved playing all the games.

City Creek

I wasn't planning on going to the new mall in downtown Salt Lake (City Creek) during opening weekend but once I heard that there was free face painting, free balloons, and a playland we had to go.  We went the day after it opened but it was still PACKED!!!  There were people EVERYWHERE.  We waited in line for quite a while for both the face painting and the balloons, but it was worth it.  The kids loved it!  They both begged and pleaded for us not to wash their faces off for church the next day.

Crew said he was going to ask for a "Lightening McQueen" face but apparently the girl couldn't do that.  She did this instead--totally AWESOME!  And so realistic!  Crew actually scared some people!
Caysja's butterfly face was beautiful
Here we are at the new Dinosaur play place at the mall

Capri loved this dinosaur egg
The mall is outdoors but it has a removeable roof for bad weather days.  There are fountains and a splashplad.
The balloon lady
Crew got a bee
Caysja got a swan
The weather was sooo nice that day!   Caleb was in Moab that weekend so it was a fun outing for just the kids and me.

March Recap

March was such a fun month for us!  We took advantage of the free day at the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum.  We'd never been there before and it is awesome!  We loved it so much we went twice in one day--once in the morning and again after Caysja got home from Kindergarten.

They had a construction Zone...
Play house
Water works

 garden with little tractors
horse
helicopter

art projects
costumes with a stage for plays (they were acting out Little Red Riding Hood)
St. Patrick's day!
We had green eggs and ham for breakfast.
We went to Kangaroo Zoo (a bounce house) with some friends from our ward.
