Friday Reading: Klosterman on Malkmus
I love Pavement. I think most people know this about me. We're going to see Pavement in July at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago. This excited me greatly.
I also like Chuck Klosterman (although not as much as I used to, considering I didn't finish his last 2 books). Regardless, Klosterman has interviewed Stephen Malkmus for GQ. It's an interesting read, even if it's not particularly enlightening. I have read elsewhere about Malkmus' love for fantasy sports, which I'm glad about because it means I could conceivably have something to converse with him about if I were to ever happen across him in the streets of Portland.
(Fun fact - things Paul and Stephen Malkmus have in common: both of their fantasy teams were devastated by the loss of Ronnie Brown this year.)
