Whimsy Stamp's New Release

Hello friends!
I have two cards to share with you today using the new stamp set by Whimsy called, Crosses.
For this first card I embossed it using Versamark and purple embossing powder, and then fussy cut it.  The background was done with a scrap piece of card stock and light blue ink to create a starburst effect.  I cut some leaves, added a glittery flower, and few clear gems to finish it off.
My second card also uses the Crosses set as well as the new die, Heaven's Gate.  I cut it out of glittery paper, and embossed the cross in gold.  I added a red posy, leaves, gold cording, and a small sentiment tag.

Whimsy's New Release!

Good morning friends!
I have a card to share with you using Whimsy's new Primitive Sheep Die Set.  I used liquid applique on the bodies to give it that fluffy dimensional look. I also used the new Colonial America papers. I machine stitched the papers and added a circle cut out to create a sort of frame for my sheep.  I added to the sentiment using the Bold ABC Die set to add a touch of whimsy. :)
These sheep!!! LOVE!!
Thanks so much for stopping friends!!

Nightmares

Hello!
I am not sure who comes here for visits anymore, but for those of you who still come by, I apologize for my lack of posts.  The beginning of the school year always seems to kick my butt.  I am exhausted by the evenings and haven't crafted a whole bunch.

I am finally getting back into some sort of routine.....and created this Halloween card.  It was fast and easy to make.
I used Whimsy's new Dreamland papers and paired with with the Bat Branch Die set.   I added a sentiment and a bit of twine to finish off the card.
Quick and easy, my kind of card!

ARRGH!

Hello!
I couldn't resist making another pirate card using Whimsy Stamp's Treasure Map Die set.   I used the same technique on this skull as my last post.  I took Crackle Paste on cream card stock. Once it was dry, I used Tim Holtz Distress Crayons in black and brown to define the cracks. The map portion was stamped with Treasure Map stamp set.  I inked up the edges to distress it a bit.  I adhered the map and skull to black card stock and give it a splattering of white paint.
As a final touch, I die cut the sentiment with the new Arrgh Word and Shadow Die set. The black card stock I used had a white core, so I sanded it a bit to distress it.
If you haven't yet checked out Whimsy's new release, be sure to check it out!
Have a great week!

Florida

Hello friends! I have a new card on my blog today using Whimsy Stamp's new Florida Strong Die. I cut it twice with black paper and added several coats of glossy accents to the letters.  In person, it has a ton of dimension! I used the new Hibiscus Flowers to frame Florida.  I used water colors and gold glittery paper for the centers.  The background was a bit stark for me, so I used a stencil to give it a bit of interest and color. I added a few sequins and string to finish off the card.

Have a great day friends! Thank you for stopping by!

Frosty Glass Die Part 2!

Welcome back to my blog!  My previous post uses Whimsy's new Frosty Glass Die as an ice cream soda.  Well today, I thought I would go more towards a beer look. Not sure if I succeeded.  LOL. Maybe I am just partial to ice cream beverages rather than alcoholic beverages! ;)  I made a shaker element with the bottom half.  The "froth" was given a coating of Versamark and coated with a puffy embossing powder.  I like the texture it gives!  I also added the new Cheers sentiment, a bit of twine, and an itty bitty flower.  The background was embossed with the Wavelengths Embossing Folder.

Be sure to pop on over to Whimsy Stamps if you haven't seen their full release!
Have a great day!

Luck of the Irish!

Hello friends!
Happy weekend to you! Today is my son's 26th birthday and as a married man. So hard to believe I have children that old! LOL.  Today I have a St. Patrick's Day card to share.  Because really, aren't we all a little bit Irish on St. Patrick's Day? ;)  I used Whimsy Stamp's new Shenanigans Lassie Die set.  I cut her out using several pieces of cardstock.  Her skin was cut using a Copic friendly paper and colored.  I pieced her together and added a little bow and pearl to her belt.  I stamped the new Lucky Horseshoes on aqua paper.  I situated my Lassie to top and added a few Shamrocks.  (Also colored with Copics)
A few gold sequins were added for interest.  They are part of the Champagne Confetti Mix.

If you haven't seen Whimsy's new release make sure you do! You will love everything!

Truck With Flowers Part 2!

Hello friends! Hope you had a great weekend!
I have another card using the Truck Die from Whimsy Stamps. I popped up some of the elements by cutting Fun Foam to place under the die pieces.  I added flowers just like my last card, but using an entirely different color scheme.  The background uses purple card stock with the Tartan Plaid Background Stamp using Versamark ink.  Behind that I used the Floral A2 Hot Foil Plate and Silver Hot Foil.  The sentiment uses the Sympathy Silhouette Hot Foil Plate and Copper Hot Foil
I decided to fill the truck again with flowers from the Grass Frames Die set and the Jungle Frames Die Set. The Teeny heart is from the Hugs and Kisses Confetti Mix.  I added centers to the flowers using the You Make Me Melt Confetti Mix.
Thanks for popping by today!
Have a great one!!

Whimsy's New Release!

Good morning and happy July 1st!
I am super excited to share this new release today from Whimsy Stamps!
Soooooo many fun new products!
My focal point is this adorable Truck Die that I cut from gray card stock.  I cut some of the smaller pieces with fun foam and popped up those smaller pieces. The background was created using the new Chippy Paint Background stamp.  I layered half of a yellow circle using the Pierced and Stitched Circle Dies.  My sentiment was done using the Sympathy Silhouette Hot Foil Plate and Silver Foil. I adhered the "Sun" and the truck to the card and decided to fill it with lots of flowers!
The flowers and leaves were cut using the Grass Frames Die set and the Jungle Frames Die set.  I filled the trunk and used the small circles from various Confetti Mixes.  (see links below) Once those were glued I added Stickles to the centers.
Thank you for stopping by today!
I will be back with another version of my truck card tomorrow!
Check out the full release over at Whimsy Stamps. :)
