One More Week!!!

   One more week till it's March! I am so glad that February is a short month! It would be so much more difficult for me to get through this cold, dreary month if it were any longer than it is!    It also has been a week of many challenges. (Didn't I just say that last week, too?) We have been helping our son look for a job and housing, as he wants to move out on his own. But we haven't had much success with either, so far.  Then, on Tuesday he got laid off of his current job. (There was word that they could be laying workers off, but we didn't think it would be this soon.) So, we now need put the job search in full speed.  The weather has been cold, dreary, with icy roads. So, going out is also a challenge.   This is the third post in a series I'm writing, called Ten Ways to Love . To read part one, go HERE . For part two, go HERE .   # 5: Answer without Arguing " Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting, with strife." Proverbs 17:1 Sometimes I am amazed at how God describes things in the Bible ! He could have gotten st raight to the point in this ver se and just sai d, "Don't argue or yell at one another." Instead , He describes two different scenarios. Both in volve something we do every day...eat . The first scenario describes ha ving little food that is dry, to top it off. But , those eating it are happy because they are in a peaceful and quiet surrounding. The other scenario described is one of strife and unrest, but those eating have their fill of deli cious food. No couple or family members will agree on everything they do, but there is a time a nd place to address disagreements and I think this verse c...
