Today's card features a gorgeous rose image by Kris that was free to those who participated in her last Challenge. I've colored this rose in one of my favorite rose varieties, Tropical Skies. The combo of the creamy yellow/gold blending into the orange and red is so appealing to me. To represent a trellis, I used the Taylored Expressions Quatrefoil Cutting Plate and added back a few of the cutout pieces. A caution about fussy cutting the rose...the lines are very fine in this dainty image, so one needs to take extra care in the trimming. Hope you like my entry into the Imagine That Digis by Kris Challenge #6!
Have a lovely day!

You've Got a Friend
Oops! I know I said yesterday's card was the last one until May 5th, but I had to play along with the Imagine That Digis by Kris Challenge #5. So, without a lot of fanfare here is the image Bella and Skipper!
It doesn't show in the photo but the background is lightly chalked, and the flower centers are filled with liquid pearls. Thank you Kris for another adorable image to play with!

Imagine That Digis by Kris Challenge #4
Had to sneak one more card in this week! And can you believe I actually created a masculine card?!? Thank you Kris for giving us a digi that was out of my comfort zone! At first I wasn't sure I was going to play along with this challenge: First because my schedule's been crazy full and second because I wasn't sure about coloring a car. Now for all you car enthusiasts out there, please do not criticize my coloring and color choices too harshly. I'm one of those gals that just gets in a car and goes. For me, a car is a means to get from point A to point B. I could bore you to death with my story of how I ended up spending an entire day with a judge (my former boss) in a car museum. Not my idea of a fun time, but I did see some "pretty" cars, lol. Anyway, here's my entry for the Imagine That Digis by Kris Challenge #4. I used the Tuesday Morning Sketch #190 for my design layout, and the patterned paper is from the MME Fine and Dandy True Blue pad (yes, I used another previously unloved pad!).
Thank you all for the birthday wishes!!!

Imagine That Challenge #3
Yep, it's my second post today! I'm busy crafting away to complete my Easter cards in time for Easter. Novel idea huh, actually getting the cards to people on or before Easter instead of after, lol. This lovely digi was a freebie from Kris at Imagine That digis by Kris for playing in her challenges. I layered the digi on a pale blue background before printing and colored the rest of the image with my Copics. The card design came together rather quickly, and maintained the understated look I was hoping for.

Kathleen Irish Dancer
Hiya everyone! It's been awhile since I posted. At the end of February, I promised I'd tell you all what hubby and I were up to the first part of March. Along with his sisters, we gifted his mother (who lives in Michigan) with an 80th birthday surprise party! And she was VERY surprised, and she loved the party! His mom is not your typical 80 year old (although I wonder if there is a "typical" any longer). She is active, goes to the gym everyday, and loves to travel and party. Later this Spring, she's going sailing in the Bahamas! Anyway, I arrived home with a nasty hitchhiker...a cold. So, I've been out of commission, and am just now beginning to feel a little less yucky. Slowly I'm catching back up on everyone's blogs...you ladies have been busy! Thankfully I looked at the Imagine That digis by Kris Challenge #2 last night and realized I needed to get my fanny in gear or I'd miss the challenge deadline. Whew! Mission accomplished! Here is Kathleen Irish Dancer! The lovely shamrock background paper is a freebie from Kate Hadfield which you can find here. The subway art was also a freebie, but sorry, I do not recall from whom. Hope you enjoy this little Irish lass!

For You
The image used on today's card is a freebie (but not for much longer) from Imagine That.... digis by Kris which you can find here. I'm playing along with her Progressive Freebie Challenge #1. This is a versatile image which by changing the wording on the tag (yes, I did) you can adapt for many occasions. I kept the colors soft on this card, not wanting to draw any additional attention to the blue bow (I made it a tad too dark). And I used some of the new flowers one of my sisters gifted me with at Christmas. Thanks Boo! All in all, I like the ultra feminine feel to this card.
