Happy Valentines Day

Happy Tuesday!  How are you? I am having a busy week at work but luckily I had a nice relaxing weekend.  I was really lazy except for making some cards which was fun!!  It is hard to believe it is February here.  We have had almost no snow and the temperatures are warmer than usual.  I hope this isn't the calm before the storm and we get all our winter snow in a week.

Today's challenge at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations is Valentines Day!  It is right around the corner and time to think about making a card for anyone in your life that you want to say I love you.  I chose this image from Mo Manning to make my card.  It is fun, cute and reminds me of when we were young and had our first crush.

So get out those Valentines images and join the fun!!

Happy Valentines Day

It's Friday!!!  YEAH!!!  It has been a long couple of weeks at work and I can really use this weekend!  It is suppose to be cold here but no snow so that means I can actually get out of the house and have fun or stay in and make cards.  Either sounds good to me!

A couple of weeks ago I got picked as a top cards at Raise the Bar.    They invited me to be a Guest DT last week but I was too busy to make a card and they were nice enough to invite me to Guest DT this week.  The theme of the challenge this week is Valentines Day without using Red or Pink.   This opened up a world of possibilities.  I choose this great stamp by Mo Manning.  She is so cute with all the flowers.  I, of course, went with Blue and Purple as my color choices.   You should pull out your Valentine or Love stamps and pop over to Raise the Bar and play.

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Mo's - Valentine with non traditional colors - I always think Pink or Red for Valentines so this is with Blue & Purple.
Crafty Cardmakers - Hearts - I love my Heart charms, especially the one I picked for this card.
Incy Wincy Designs - Love - Isn't that what Valentines Day is all about?
My Partner in Crafting Crime - Love minus Red & Pink - I had alot of fun making this card with non-traditional Valentine Day colors.
Ooh La La - For Someone Special - A Valentine's Day card is always given to someone special
Stamp with Fun - Love - Valentines Day is all about Love
Stamps R Us - Valentine/Love - One & the same in my opinion.  This card would be perfect for a child to give to a parent.
The Crazy Challenge - Lots of Love - Lot's of Flowers say Lots of Love.
The Pink Elephant - Valentine - I think this would be a great Valentine for someone you love.
Aly's Sunday - Bling - I have the pearls, glitter on the flowers & the dress as my Bling
One Stitch at a Time - Do it with a Digi - I love Mo's digi and this one just stole my heart
Scrappy Frog - Love - Yes Valentines Day is right around the corner.
The Crafty Pad - Love is in the Air - Love is in the Air this time of year.  I hope everyone gets as many flowers as this little girl is holding.
Crafty Creations - Use 3 Words - This was easy.  Happy Valentines Day
Fab & Funky - Tempting Texture - I have my flowers and Lace as my texture on this card.
Fresh Brewed - Charm - I love my heart charms.  I especially like the one I used on this card.
Gingersnap - Charm - I love the look of charms.  The are a great embellishment.
Creative Craft Challenge - Hearts & Flowers - I have my heart charm and the flowers the cute girl is holding
Do it with Digi's - Valentines - I love this Stamp for Valentines Day.  We all love receiving flowers
Creative Stamp Friends - Valentines - This little girl with the flowers is such a nice way to say Happy Valentines Day.
CRAFT - Valentine - I wish I was getting this big bouquet of flowers on Monday.
Cute Card Thursday - Hearts & Flowers - I have my charm and my image for my hearts & flowers
Dutch Dare - Love is in the air - With Valentines day so close Love is definitely in the air
Pixie - Valentines - A hand made card is a nice way to say Happy Valentines Day

Off to see the Wizard

Happy Tuesday!

Today Going Grey with Scrap-Creations has a wonderful theme!  Make a card inspired by a movie.  I decided to got with The Wizard of Oz.  I bought this stamp from Mo Manning and I love it.

This is a fun theme and really got me thinking of all the movies past and present and what I could do. I would love to see what you can do with this theme so join the fun.  You should also check out what the other DT's listed on my sidebar did with this theme.  They did a wonderful job.

The other wonderful challenges this card fits are:

Mo's - Glitter and Bling  - I wanted to add something to the card so I decided to add some glitter to his mane and my bling are my green pearls.  I love the color of these and they bring some shine to the card.

Create 4 Fun - Sketch - I had alot of fun working with this sketch.  It's perfect for this image and my papers.

Stamp Something - Fall Colors - I love the greens and oranges in this DP.

Practical Scrappers - Stamps - I love stamping.  It is the only craft I have stayed with.  I love all of them.

Paper Cutz - Critters - Lions are big critters but they are definitely what I would call a critter.

Totally Papercrafts - A kind of magic - The Wizard of Oz is all about magic.  The shoes, the wizard, etc.

Crafty Emma - Animal Antics - This lion and his pals go through alot of antics in the movie.

Bee Crafty - Digi & Furry - This image is a digi from Mo's and it is definitely furry.

Craftalicious - Autumn colors or Harvest theme.  I love going into Fall.  The colors are so beautiful.  I love the greens and oranges in this card.

One Stitch at a time - Anything Goes - I love these themes!!!

Stamptacular - Seasons change - This challenge is to make a card only with colors you see in the Fall.  The oranges, greens, and golds I see all over the trees this week

Really Reasonable Ribbon - Photo Inspiration - The photo is a jungle and Lions live in the Jungle.

Incy Wincy Designs - Anything Goes - My favorite theme!!!!

Pile it on - Cute and Charming - I think the lion from the Wizard of Oz is cute and charming.  The look on his face just wants me to give him a hug.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I hope you like my card.  Thank you to everyone who leaves a message.  I love all of them.
