Be Mine Valentine

Welcome to another fabulous TGIF Challenges!  This week have a fun Inspiration Challenge to share with you!

With Valentine's Day quickly approaching, I figured one more card using the Sweet Talk Suite would be perfect for this challenge.  Between the watercolor DSP and stamped images from the Sweet Conversations stamp set, they were meant to be!

I stamped some X's and O's in Petal Pink on a piece of Petal Pink DSP, then added a little layer of the cute conversation hearts DSP.  Next came the die-cut label from Sweet Hearts Dies on Shimmery White, which I watercolored with Pool Party.  A couple X's and O's were stamped in Pool Party too!

I die-cut a row of hearts from the Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper, attaching them to the label with a strip of Pool Party Sheer Ribbon and securing it with a white Baker's Twine Bow.

A couple hearts were cut from the DSP to top the tag and the negative's from the hearts dies created the perfect little embellishments.  A simple Happy Valentine's Day sentiment was added and this card was complete!

Do any of you love the little conversation heart candies?  Those sweet treats are one of my sweet tooth weaknesses this time of year!

I hope you'll join in the fun and play along with us this week!

Happy Stamping!

Freshly Made Sweet Conversations

Hello stampin' friends!

I'm taking a little break from Christmas creating to {finally} give some love to my January-June Mini Catalog preorder items!  I am a sucker for ALL things Valentine's, so the Sweet Talk Suite was a must have for me!  These little conversation hearts are the cutest!
This card was inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketches sketch challenge as well as the sample card on page 10 of the JJ mini.  I loved matching these cute little hearts up with the stripes on the Sweet Talk DSP.
Anyone else absolutely LOVE it when you can let the DSP do the talking...and this DSP really does do the talking with all of the adorable conversation heart messages.   The ONLY stamping on this card is the sweet and simple Happy Valentine's Day, stamped in Real Red.  And y'all know I can't have a card without some sort of bling!  The Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels are so pretty and another must have!
I struggle to use a big piece of DSP to cover a card base, but this Petal Pink and Real Red pattern is just too cute NOT to use.  I'll just have to be sure to snag another pack of this DPS soon...because the fear of running out is real for this paper  hoarder collector!

I can't wait to create more projects with this adorable suite!  It will be available to customers January 4, 2022!

Happy Stamping!

Supplies Used:

Paper ~ Basic White, Sweet Talk DSP

Hopping By To Say... ~ Monday Montage

Hello and welcome back to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  We're happy you've joined us!

I am a sucker for any stamp set that can be colored with the Stampin' Blends, so Kangaroo & Company was definitely a must have for me!  This is a great bundle that will work for so many different occasions!
With Valentine's Day coming up, I went with the cute little hearts.  I stamped several in the background and colored them in shades of Real Red, Rococo Rose and Flirty Flamingo.  These were framed in a Basic Black frame made using the Rectangle Stitched Dies.
I stamped and die cut a momma kangaroo, along with a cute little Joey.  Did you know that the momma kangaroo has a little slit at the top of her pouch?!?  You can put a cute little message in the pouch and add a topper of your choice.  So cute!!  Both momma and baby were both  colored with Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends.
I added a little Real Red Resin Heart in the Joey's paws....awwwww!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Real Red, Basic Black, Basic White
Ink ~ Rococo Rose, Memento, Stampin' Blends: Real Red, Rocco Rose, Flirty Flamingo, Cinnamon Cider
Stamp Sets ~ Kangaroo & Company
Other Supplies ~ Resin Hearts, Kangaroo Dies, Rectangle Stitched Dies

This cute little card will be on it's way to some of our sweet friends this week for Valentine's Day.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Stamping!

You've Got Happy Snail Mail ~ Monday Montage

Welcome back to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers!

I can't believe we are already into the second week of January!  I know Valentine's Day is still a little over a month away, but I am trying to stay ahead of the game and make sure I'm not scrambling at the last minute to get cards made.

I'll admit...I was not totally sold on the Snailed It bundle at first.  That silly little snail reminded me of a cartoon, which I'm sure you are ALL familiar with, that I just cringe when my boys watched it!  But, of course all of the amazing stampers out there creating with this bundle had me changing my mind in a hurry.
I mixed up a few different Snail Mail DSP patterns and slipped in a cute little note in the envelope.  That envelope is so darn adorable!  I wrapped it all up some of the Blushing Bride bakers twine and threw in a few little white Resin Hearts.  Oh...and the fun little Real Red hearts stamped on Blueing Bride in the background are my favorite!

Next up is the silly little snail delivering some happy mail.  I will say, he is pretty cute carting that little envelope on his back!  The big postage stamp die is so much fun too!
I am awful about stamping anything on the outside of envelopes before I send a card out, but the Happy Mail Enclosed stamp in the Snailed It stamp set was just meant to be stamped on the outside!  SO.MUCH.CUTENESS!

Supplies Used:
Paper:  Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, Snail Mail DSP
Ink ~ Real Red, Blushing Bride, Bermuda Bay, Memento, Stampin' Blends: Flirty Flamingo, Real Red, Daffodil Delight
Stamp Set ~ Snailed It
Other Supplies ~ Snail Dies, Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack, Resin Hearts, Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch

I can't wait to see what the rest of our Monday Montage crew has in store for us!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Now, on to the next stop on the hop!

Happy Stamping!

We've added a list of everyone's home pages so you can hop along in any order you wish!  Just make sure you don't miss any!

Love You Lots, Valentine

Happy Valentines Day stamping friends!
I've been kind of quite this week, but I've still be creating!  I wanted to share a quick post with the last of my Valentine creations for this year.

First up are the cute little sucker "pockets" I made for my sons 2nd grade class Valentines this year.  I made these with the From My Heart Specialty DSP.  Cutting 4x4 squares, then folding them in a "diaper fold" and punching a little hole in the bottom, the Blow Pop sucker stick slid right in and they were done!
I was going to tie a bow at the bottom, but I quickly reminded myself that they were going to a classroom full of 2nd graders who could probably care less about a bow!  I forgot to get a picture of the back, but I attached a heart where my son wrote the names of his friends.

Next up is the Valentine card I created for my hubby.  I struggle with a card for him every year, but always manage to come up with something for him!
I used the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder for the background.  I dabbed some VersaMark on some of the raised bricks then heat embossed them in white.  I roughed up the edges a bit for a more rugged look.  This wasn't quite the look I was going for, but ended up liking it!
I added a couple of Heartfelt hearts, an arrow and a little bling with some From My Heart Facted Gems and the card was done.

Valentines Day has never been a big celebration for me and my hubby since my birthday is the day before, but I always like to show him some love with a little bag of candy and a card (of course!).

I hope you all have a Happy Valentine's Day, sharing and receiving love with those around you!

Happy Stamping!

#TGIFC250 Color Challenge

Hooray!  We made it to Friday and to an all new color challenge over at TGIF Challenges!
As I was digging through some of my old Paper Pumpkin kits trying to piece together some Valentine's for my youngest son, I came across last years adorable kit that coordinated with the Animal Outing stamp set.  Inspired by the cute images and the fun colors in this weeks challenge, I pulled out my paper, ink and stamps and got to to work!
It's been a while since I have used ANY of these colors, so it was great to pull them out and have some fun.  After punching out the Melon Mambo hearts, I created a stencil with the animal print and sponged some fun little spots.
Of course I colored the sleepy rhino with my Stampin' Blends...I know you expect nothing less from me!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Melon Mambo, Pool Party, Whisper White
Ink ~ Melon Mambo, Pool Party, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Smoky Slate, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie
Stamp Set ~ Animal Outing
Other Supplies ~ Heart Punch Pack, Detailed Bees Dies, Animal Friends Dies

I think I only have one more Valentine to make for my hubby.  I always save the hardest for last!

Have a fantastic Friday!

Happy Stamping!

I Love You THIS Much!

Do you ever have days where you wake up and feel like you didn't even sleep at all?  I had one of those days today...absolutely exhausted with a nagging headache that just won't go away.  I don't feel awful, but felt yucky enough that I decided to stay home from work.  I've spent most of my day in bed or on the couch, but I did have a little burst of energy and spent a little time in my craft room playing along with this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
I've been having a lot of fun with all of the new products from the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Catalogs, but I've also been pulling out some of my favorites from the Annual Catalog too.  The Dinoroar Suite is one of my favorites and is perfect for some fun Valentine's for your dino-loving kiddos!
I cut the friendly little dinos from the Dinoroar DSP using the coordinating Dino Dies.  I love that Stampin' Up! is coordinating more suites like this!
The only stamping on these cards is the sentiment and the little spots on the hearts.  So sweet and simple!
Isn't it great when you can pair up items from multiple catalogs?!?!  I love the Heart Punch Pack from the Occasions Catalog.  The heart was the perfect addition to these loving dinos!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Pool Party, Old Olive, Mango Melody, Whisper White, Dinoroar DSP
Ink ~ Pretty Peacock, Pool Party, Mango Melody
Stamp Set ~ Dino Days
Other Supplies ~ Dino Dies, Heart Pack Punch

Here's to hoping that what ever has me down today passes quickly!  This momma doesn't have time to be sick!

Happy Stamping!

Sharing the Freakin' Love!

The Control Freaks back and we are sharing our love with all of you this month! You may have hopped on over from one of my favorite Melissa's...Melissa Stout.   Isn't she lovely?!?
I just can't put the adorable Honey Bee Bundle and coordinating Golden Honey Specialty DSP away!  I love, love, LOVE the black and white DSP with little bits of gold.  Look what happens when you add a little pop of Real Red...even more to LOVE!
I dusted off my Make a Difference stamp set to create the Bee Mine sentiment.  The sentiment possibilities are endless with this pretty little stamp set!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Basic Black, Golden Honey Specialty DSP
Ink ~ Real Red, Memento
Stamp Sets ~ Honey Bee, Make a Difference
Other Supplies ~ Detailed Bees Dies

Next up is a fun little treat box and Valentines Day Card.  I love the traditional colors in the From My Heart Specialty DSP...and the added red foil makes it even  better!
I created a fun background with the stitched heart stamp, then punched out some cute DSP hearts and the Happy Valentine's Day stamped heart. I added a fussy cut arrow and a few From My Heart Faceted Gems.  Sweet, simple and straight from the heart!
My tiny little treat box was made using the Scalloped Tag Topper.  I added a little box inside, which holds a Dove Promises candy perfectly!  The treat box was topped off with the pretty Real Red Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon and a cute  Love You Lots tag, all attached with the tiny little Library Clips.  These little clips are the CUTEST!!
I am trying to decide if this is what I'll be helping my youngest make for his class Valentine's this year...

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Flirty Flamingo, Real Red, Whisper White, From My Heart Specialty DSP
Ink ~ Flirty Flamingo, Real Red, Petal Pink
Stamp Set ~ Heartfelt

In the meantime, it's time for you to hope over to another one of my favorite Melissa's...Melissa Davies.  How did I get so lucky to be in the middle of a giant Melissa hug?!?!

Thanks for hopping along with all of us!  We hope you are feeling all of the LOVE!

#TGIFC246 Sketch Challenge

Happy Friday and welcome to an all new TGIF Challenges Sketch Challenge!  I don't know about you, but a good sketch ALWAYS helps inspire fun cards!

This may be one of the busiest cards I have made in a long time.  I questioned myself several times and even asked my stamping BFF for her opinion, but decided to quit worrying about it and just go with it!  It may be busy, but all of the patterns in the From My Heart Specialty DSP just had to be used!  I love the little bits of red foil through the different patters.  I mean, who doesn't love a little shimmer and shine, right?!?!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, From My Heart Specialty DSP
Ink ~ Real Red, Flirty Flamingo, Smoky Slate
Stamp Set ~ Heartfelt
Other Supplies ~ Heart Punch Pack, From My Heart Faceted Gems

I put my fussy cutting skills to good use with the little lace hearts, arrow and sentiment.  Do you love to fussy cut as much as I do?  I know it's not for everyone!

It has been kind of a crazy week!  I've trying to catch up at work after enjoying time off for winter break, but haven't quite got there yet.  It's not looking like the weekend is going to slow down much either.  But I do have my monthly stamp classes tonight and Sunday, so I am super excited about that!

I hope you all have a fantastic Friday and an amazing weekend!  Be sure to join us in this months sketch challenge.  We love to see what you create!

Happy Stamping!

Hey, Valentine...I'm Ape Over You

Happy Valentine's Day friends!

Today is a day to let your special someone know just how much you love them!  It doesn't take a big bouquet of flowers or a box of chocolates or fancy diamonds...a simple card {a handmade card is even better!} with words of love is all you need!  I shared my love with my Valentine's this morning with cards made with my favorite Valentine stamp set, Hey Love.  I love any image I can color and these little critters in this set are so darn cute!  The ape is my favorite!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Lovely Lipstick, Smoky Slate, All My Love DSP
Ink ~ VersaMark, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Smoky Slate, Lovely Lipstick, Ivory, Flirty Flamingo
Stamp Set ~ Hey Love
Other Supplies ~ Layering Circles Framelits, Heart Epoxy Droplets, White Embossing Powder

I love that you can color the Heart Epoxy Droplets with the Stampin' Blends!  The color possibilities are endless.

My hubby is working today, so I'll be celebrating Valentine's Day with my not-so-little Valentines.  I've left them each with a card and a little treat as I head out to work this morning and I'll we'll have a special little dinner tonight.  Simple and sweet!

I hope your Valentine's Day and EVERY day is filled with love!

#tgifc198 Sketch Challenge ~ Love You To Pieces

Happy Friday stampers!  It has been a cold, snowy week here and it sounds like we have more snow coming...yuck!  That silly groundhog is causing trust issues with me! :-D

We are under a week away from Valentine's Day and this week's TGIF Challenges sketch is perfect for creating a card for your Valentine.
I love this pattern from All My Love DSP!  I thought it would be fun to pair it up with Love You To Pieces stamp set and coordinating thinlits.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Flirt Flamingo, Whisper White, Powder Pink, All My Love DSP
Ink ~ Flirt Flamingo, Powder Pink
Stamp Set ~ Love You To Pieces
Other Supplies ~ Puzzle Pieces Thinlits, Starburst Punch, Silver Mini Sequin Trim, White Bakers Twine, Metallic Sequins

See the cute little puzzle piece banners beneath the puzzle pieces?  Aren't they fun?!?

I'm crossing my fingers that my youngest remembers to bring his Valentine list home from school today so we can finish his Valentine's! Between missing two days of school this week and having too much fun in the snow, his mind is far away from remembering to check his mail box!  It's a good thing he's cute! :)

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend ahead of you!

Happy Stamping!

Be Mine Valentine ~ A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop

I don't know about you, but January has been the LONGEST month ever!  I can honestly say that I am so happy to see the end of the month.  Not only are we getting closer to spring, but the end of the month also means an all new A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!
We're back at it sharing our alternative creations using the January Be Mine, Valentine kit. I look forward to Paper Pumpkin every January because I know it will cover school Valentine's for my youngest!  While I'll be using the kit as intended for his class treats, I had a few pillow boxes left over, which I cut in half to create some mini treat holders for his friends at church too.
The 2x8 cello bags fit perfectly inside the pillow boxes once I cut them in half.  After filling them with some tasty treats, I trimmed off the excess and tied the tag around the top to secure treats.

Stampin' Up! was brilliant to coordinate another kit with a catalog suite!  Animal Expedition is one of my favorite suites!  I used a bit of the Animal Expedition DSP along with some extra tags to create a couple of cute Valentine cards.  These went together so quickly thanks to the punch out pieces!
I hope to see more Paper Pumpkin kits coordinating with our catalog suites.  This helps in creating so many more fun projects!

I'm so happy you hopped on by today!  Be sure to hop along to all the other participants and see their amazing alternative projects!

Happy Stamping!
