Oodles of Doodles Card

Hellooooo,

I am hosting the challenge for this week at Daring Cardmakers...
I chose the theme of Doodle...so obvious :P
Make your pen your friend...scribble, doodle, draw shapes/patterns, make marks...just go with the flow....

And I definitely went with the flow....

I stamped a sentiment in the middle with a Hampton Art stamp and drew a mandala around it...
The background was made by smooshing distress inks...

Do join us overt at Daring Cardmakers...the DT have made fabulous card incorporating doodle...

Rainbow Mandala

Heya,

Its Friday!!!...that means a new dare at Daring Cardmakers...and the dare is "Paint the rainbow"
You have to make a card featuring a rainbow or using rainbow colours - you don't have to use them all but they do need to be in the right order!

As soon as I knew this dare...I took out my brand-new Sakura Gelly Roll Moonlight pens...and drew a flower/mandala...

Using a different shape for your card is a great way to change things up...I personally love different shape cards...

The sentiment is from Party Time stamp set from Stamplorations...

You really don't need much to CREATE...just the urge to create...

Check out how the gold marker shines in the light...Loving it...

I also used a golden flower as the centre of my mandala and a piece of vellum for my sentiment

Magic Slider Card - II (Mandala)

Hello everyone,

I hope you an awesome start to this new year...

The start of a new year is like a new hope for new beginnings...

Well....with that I would like to show you guys the second Slider card I made...

This one contains the Mandala design shown in the Inspiration time 2 post...
I gave this card a more ethnic look...

When you pull the tab, the design reveals colours and more intricate patterns...

A pic with the tab all pulled out...

A closer look at the Mandala...

I drew some patterns on the card frame with a golden gel pen and wrote the sentiment with a silver gel pen
Also I used a circle punch for pull-out tab on the top and adhered it with a brad.

I really liked making these slider cards... I think I may make more of them in the future.
What I like about these slider cards is...they are not hard to make and the interactive element is to amazing. And also the expressions and reactions of the people who receive it. People are so surprised when they pull up that tab.

Inspiration times 2

Hello crafters,

I recently took part in Indira's Mega Celebration Event challenge...
As part of the challenge we had to create a card inspired from Indian motifs and post the card to the person above us in the linky...
I was very lucky to receive a card from Deepti Stephens from Catchy Design...
So I just wanted to share this beautiful card U received from Deepti...

Isnt it gorgeous!!!

It is an awesome example of "In Simplicity Lies Beauty"

There was another entry in the challenge...which was from Suman Pandit
I was inspired by her intricate Mandala design...
And I just had to give it a try...

So this is what I came up with... :)

This is nowhere near Suman's colourful and beautiful design...
I am not even sure if it qualifies for a Mandala design...but I sure had fun drawing it

A closer look at the design

And as always...I would love to hear your comments and thought about the post

In addition, I would also love to hear what you think will be the best product to colour this design...gel pens...colour pencils...glaze pens...???
