Shabby and Vintage at Crafts and Me

Hiya Peeps,

I have a chap who likes to buy all his family special handmade Christmas Cards and always chooses images that aren't christmasy and I have to do my magic on them to make them look like a christmas card.  He wanted purples and black and an Art Deco image, so this is what I came up with.

The challenge if you haven't guess at Crafts and Me this week is "Shabby/Vintage" and the Bride/Flapper Art Deco image fitted beautiful.  Isn't she gorgeous. And if you haven't seen there is a new europe/international postage rate of £3.45, so you can shop until your heart is content.

I have of course coloured my image with copics and have added lots of texture in the form of snowtex and crackle paint on the chipboard snowflakes.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:-
Bearly Mine - My favourite things (Copics, distressing, snowtex, flowers, lace)
Oldie but a goodie - stamp older than 6 months and snowflakes

In Love with Vintage

Hiya Peeps,

You know I love Friday's, don't we all, but today I get to show you my Art Deco Vintage card, which I am absolutely in love with.  I was asked to make an Anniversary card using Art Deco and thankfully I have this fabulous stamp available from Crafts and Me HERE.  I am falling in love with this style of stamp.  They are currently out of stock but I know Teresa is expecting more in soon, so if you want them email Teresa, details are on the Crafts and Me Blog or Store, and get yours reserved as these stamps are in demand.

I actually don't want to give this card away, lol.  Lots of gorgeous details, I may have gone overboard with the embellishments, but I do love the end result.

The middle section is corrugated card stripped of the top layer and painted with some acrylic white paint. I added some lace and purple ric rac.

I have added two little charms a key with the word LOVE and the heart with the lock.

I have painted the heart swirl with a lilac acrylic paint and edged it with Tim Holtz Distress ink.

Ahhhh look at that incy wincy postcard.  I had this sheet for a few years and I finally found a use for it.  The double heart is again painted with acrylic paint and edged with Tim Holtz Distress ink.

A close up of the laserchip word LOVE painted with lilac acrylic paint and edged with distress ink.

These labels are fab and are available as clip art from the graphics fairy. (This would look better to the right of the labels but I can't get the text there, any advice gratefully received).

An this is the inside.
