Happy Mother's Day

Good Morning!

My Hubby actually asked what I was going to do today.....I think I laughed right in his face.
Doesn't he know by now how I am saving the world right from my craft room?

Soooooo this card will be entered into the Challenges at;

Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!
Dies R Us, Things With Wings.

I took out my PTI Garden Gate Kit which I haven't used in forever!  Was able to create this fancy fold gate fold card using the actually gate and lattice dies from the Kit.
Using the Cheery Lynn Small Lace Butterfly die, cut from Yellow Glitter Paper as a front focal point.  Despite the name it is quite large.  The Yellow Gingham Ribbon was adhered to the back of this panel and ties for a nice closure.

Untied.

Inside fully opened.
My Hollyhocks from the Kit were placed in Memory Box's Simple Garden Pot dies.
Inks in; Amalgam Black, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight,
Garden Green, Perfect Plum and Wild Wasabi.
Thin Green Ribbon.
Green Polka Dotted Ribbon.

DIes R Us Butterfly Set #2 dies.
Rhinestones.

Vellum Butterfly.
RHinestone.
Lattice and Wisteria dies.

Sentiment by MFT, Sweet Roses.

I would love to have this view on my back porch.
This was all mounted to a Top Folding A2 card.

Thanks for popping in!

Stay well!

Stay Safe!

STAY HOME!

Garden Of Birthday Wishes

Back again!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at; Papertrey Ink, Outline Images--which I just realized that I used "line images"....oopsie!  And the Stamping Sensations, One For The Girls.

Papertrey Ink Products; Garden Gate, Day Dreamer, Sequins.

Inks in; Calypso Coral, Raven Black, Wild Wasabi and Wisteria Wonder.

Clear Embossing Powder over sentiment.

I'm sure this doesn't qualify, I don't think I have any outline floral stamps from PTI, probably could of used another brand, but when I saw this ornate flourish/wrought iron stamp thought it would look great....which it does, I think lol

Thanks for coming by!

Enjoy~~

PTI Floral Challenge

Back again with another Papertrey Ink , this one was to create a Floral Card.  Simple enough!

I used the Papertrey Ink products;

Spruce And Sprigs stamps
Garden Gate stamps
Tag Its 2 stamps
Daydreamer stamps and dies
Designer Paper, Chocolate Remix

Using a Spellbinders Standard Circle die I traced a circle where I wanted my wreath to be.  I stamped all around using sprigs and leaves and berries til I got the look I was going for.  Making sure I 'rounded' out the wreath as I went.

Inks in;
Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze, Calypso Coral, More Mustard,
Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Timber Brown, Vintage Photo and Wild Honey.
Ribbon, Twine, Candy Dots and Flower Charm for accents.

This card just came together so easily, I love the result!

Thanks for coming by.

Enjoy~~

Hollyhock Dreams

Hello!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at; Papertrey Ink, Stenciled Water Color Backgrounds, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes and Scrapy Land, Spring Blooms.

I used the Lattice die, from Papertrey Ink's Garden Gate Kit, for my stencil and water colored my background in Pool Party ink.  I also cut a Lattice die cut and added it to the center of my panel.  Die cut the Hollyhocks and Wisteria flowers, stamped and added Stickles for some sparkle.

My sentiment is from the Daydreamer stamp set and stamped onto a Spellbinders Labels 3 die.  Inks in; Garden Green, Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette, Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi and Wisteria Wonder.  Sheer Ribbon.

Quick and easy.

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy~~

Envelope

Back again!

I made this card and envelope for one of PTI's Anniversary Challenge, and for this last Challenge, Transformation, I decided to re-do my envelope.

Previous Challenge:

Transformation:

I used the Papertrey Ink products; Garden Gate stamp and dies and Shaker & Sprinkles stamp sets.  I started with an ivory envelope that measures 5 1/4 x 7 3/8 inches.  Using inks in; Black Licorice, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Perfect Plum, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango and Wild Wasabi I created my Hollyhocks and Wisteria.  Die cut the Garden Gate and matching Lattice in White card stock.

I covered my flowers with Versa Mark Ink and Heat Embossing Powder, which I then heated and doused with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  Heating once again to seal all of that glittery goodness in!  These products are AMAZING and are from Stampin' Up!  Cut my grassy knoll with an MFT die, Snow Drifts.  Assembled all of the pieces and decorated with Iridescent Sequins.  Yes, this will be hand delivered!

Thanks for popping in.  The lights are flickering.......

Enjoy~~

Bird House

Good Morning!

Just a lot of wind and rain so far.  Hopefully this storm will be a bust!

This project will be entered into the Papertrey Ink Challenge, Create And Decorate A Bird House.

A template is supplied on the PTI Post.

This was a nice way to spend a winter afternoon.

I have been obsessed with this Designer Paper from Papertrey Ink, Green Boutique.  It must be because of the 'sea like' colors.  It is beautiful!  I used the stamp and dies sets, also from PTI, Daydreamer and Garden GateSwiss Dots Embossing Folder for texture.

I created the roof panel by using 2 Spellbinders die sets; Fanciful Lattice and Long Classic Rectangles.  I had to crop the Lattice one just a bit.  Inks in; Black Licorice, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Tempting Turquoise.

Cheery Lynn Fancy Flourish die.  Thick Twine, Sparkly Ribbon and Iridescent Sequins for accents.

6 days til Spring?  Hope I can hold on!

Enjoy~~

Yellow Posies

Happy Monday!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Multiply and Simon Says Monday, Home Made Flowers.  For PTI you must stamp, die cut, use at least 3 of the same images.  Oh believe my, I have!   And Simon Says, you can of course use die cut flowers, stamped and cut flowers.

I just wanted to garden.  So I took out one of my most favorite Papertrey Ink stamp sets (with matching dies), Daydreamer and without getting my hands dirty, only inky, I created my trellis garden.  I die cut several of the different flowers numerous times, then stamped them in inks in; Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight and So Saffron, I thought the brighter the better!

Grabbing PTI's Garden Gate Kit I cut the Trellis in White.  Placed it on a backdrop of this beautiful Green Tea Leaves Designer Paper and then started arranging all of those beautiful blossoms.  I also die cut and stamped all of the different sized leaves, inks in; Garden Green, Old Olive and Wild Wasabi.  I tucked them in here and there.  Some of the flowers have an Iridescent Sequin center for accent.  And that was it.

Love to garden, whether outdoors or in!

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy~~

Sending Sunshine & Smiles

Hello again!

I will be entering this card into the following Challenges; Papertrey Ink, Altered Envelope, Simon Says Wednesday, For A Special Lady/Gal, Stamping Sensations, Close To Nature and Penny Black , Anything Goes!

I used the Papertrey Ink products; Garden Gate (stamp and dies) and the Shakers And Sprinkles stamps for my envelope.  Inks in; Black Licorice, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette, Rose Red and Wild Wasabi.

Garden Gate and Lattice.  Hollyhocks and Wisteria.  Sheer Yellow Ribbon to keep it closed.

A true Gate Fold card.

Inside I used one of the pretty pieces of printed card stock.  Adding a Birthday Sign and some flowers and Bleeding Hearts on the right.

This card screams Spring and really makes me HAPPY!  Off to shovel.....sigh.

Enjoy~~

Always In Bloom

Good Morning!

A little weather update, yesterday it was 50 degrees, today it is snowing and we can expect up to 8 inches.  Oh March!

Today's card will be entered into the following Challenges; Papertrey Ink, Stitching, Stamping Sensations, Close To Nature, Penny Black, Anything Goes, WOW! Embossing Powder, Spring and Scrapy Land, Anything Goes.

I was inspired by the #6 swatch, love the soft blue.

This card measures 5.5 inches squared.  If you look closely you'll be able to see I stitched all around the border adhering my blue Designer Paper to my pale Pink card stock.  After doing that I just went wild!  Lots of dies and card stocks in soft pale colors creating this Shabby Chic design.

Spellbinders Dies; Fancy Ribbon Threader, Captivating Squares and Hearts.
MFT, Fancy Flourish.
Cheery Lynn, Cherry Blossom.
Crafty Ann, Butterfly #6.

My sentiment is from the Garden Gate Kit by Papertrey Ink.  I stamped it in Marina Mist ink and then heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.  My Cherry Blossoms were die cut twice, once in a neutral card stock and then again in blue, which let me layer the blossoms. I die cut the center of the Threader panel and backed the frame with Fun Foam to add a bit of depth.

The large heart was embossed with a Sizzix Love Bird embossing folder.  I really do that a lot and love it!  A strip of soft ribbon rosettes.  Lots of Adhesive Pearls for accents.

I die cut the butterfly and then traced it to hand cut a backing piece.  I added double sided tape to that, allowing me to add some pretty Martha Stewart Glitter.  This sparkles and shines!

Sheer Pink Ribbon, Pink Gingham Ribbon, and Ribbon Tabs added.  Pop Dots.

This was so much fun to create, I really got lost in the process.  I had to add a heavy card stock backing to the inside to support all of these lovelies.

Thanks so much for coming by, LOVE it when you do!

Enjoy~~

Happy Easter

Good Monday Morning!

Picture It....Sicily.....The Year 2015.....no, that's not right lol

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Past, Present And Future 2015.

I chose Laurie's gorgeous card shown here, she used the Brushed Blooms set.

Here's what I came up with:

I used the Papertrey Ink products; Flower Favorites, Garden Gate and Polka Dot Parade #1.  The Flag Banner is from MFT's Blueprints #12 die set.

Inks in; Black Licorice, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron and Wild Wasabi.  Designer Paper from my stash.  Darice Floral Embossing Folder for texture and a wee bit of Natural Twine.

Now on to 2016.....meet you there!

Enjoy~~

A Garden Of Birthday Wishes

Good Morning!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Papertrey Ink, Past, Present And Future 2014 and Simon Says Wednesday, Fantastic Florals.

This card is by Melissa and she used the Embellished Elements set.

Here is my interpretation:

I used the Daydreamer, Garden Gate and Simple Sunflowers stamp sets by Papertrey Ink.  Stamping flowers and leaves all around to make a pretty little frame.  Once I stamped my sentiment I knew I had to add just something more, so these scrolls worked perfectly.  Added a strip of Designer Paper and then paper pierced it on the edge.

I colored some Seam Binding Ribbon with a Copic Marker, made a Double Looped Bow and topped it with a pale pink button and some twine.  Inks in; Calypso Coral, Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz, Rose Red, Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi.  Corner Rounder.

Well I see that Year 2015 has hit my mailbox, off to play!

Enjoy~~

Hello, Lovely

Back again playing along in the PTI Challenge Past, Present And Future, 2008.

I fell in love with this little glimpse of perfection by Michelle Wooderson:

Here's Michelle's original POST in all it's glory, she uses the Flower Garden set.

I must inform you that I am not a seamstress (I hate the way 'sewer' looks lol) yet I have always had some fabrics in my stash just in case.  I couldn't find any bright and happy prints, so these will have to do.

I have used many Papertrey Ink products; Simple Sunflower stamps and dies, sentiment from Happy For You, stencil from Garden Gate and the Scalloped Rectangle die from the Shakers & Sprinkles Kit--which has been cropped.  I sewed fabric onto a piece of card stock as my base, and then wrapped another print around it for contrast.  Placed an MFT Dotted Scallop Border die beneath.

Inks in; Marina Mist, Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi.  Sentiment stamped in Black Licorice, topped with Clear Embossing Powder.  Sheer Ribbon, Baker's Twine, Button and Adhesive Pearls for accent.  I always color the white pearls to match the card using Copic Markers.

I really adore Michelle's card, don't think I have done it justice, but I am okay with my creation.

Thanks for stopping in!

Enjoy~~

Thankful Floral

Happy Saturday!

This card will be entered into the Challenge at Papertrey Ink, Celebrating The Past, Present And Future, 2007.

I was inspired by Dawn's card, which uses Spiral Bouquet, isn't it glorious?

Here's what I came up with:

I did a little Water Coloring using the Papertrey Ink products; Daydreamer, Garden Gate, Vintage Linens and the Thankful die from the Count My Blessings set.  Inks in; Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Tempting Turquoise.

MFT Dotted Scallop Border die (I hid the 'dot's).  Designer Papers by Nicole, Oh Blooming!

I think there is going to be 10 full days of celebrating, you may want to check it all out!

Thanks for strolling by.....next time bring a shovel!

Enjoy~~
