For Someone Special

Good Day!

Gorgeous day here, cooler temps and less work today (well other than my own chores--but I can deal).

This card is titled Someone Special.

I will enter this in the following Challenges; MFT Sketch, Dies R Us, The Great Outdoors, Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes! and Simon Says Work It Wednesday.

I think I went quite literal on this Sketch.

I used the Spellbinders Captivating Squares dies, YOWZA!  A little sponging using Melon Mambo Ink by Stampin' Up!  The Butterfly die is from Cheery Lynn, cut in black card stock and layered beneath with some Vellum.  Gina K Designs, White and Wild Orchid card stock.

The sentiment is by MFT, Pure Innocence, I Pick You!   Adhesive Pearl and Rhinestone flourish for accent.

For all of MY 'someone specials' out there, I hope you know who you are!!!

And in case you missed my Hubby's latest find.  He's becoming a 12 year old again bringing me all types of creatures, yesterday it was an itty bitty toad.  Who says the romance has gone out of our marriage?  lol

Thanks for fluttering by!

Enjoy~

Peeking In

Good Morning!

It's such a beautiful day, even if I do have to work!  The sun is shining, the birds are singing and the humidity has headed for unknown parts.....life is good, knock on wood!  ;)

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at MFT Sketch and CASology, Precious.

When I first saw the Sketch I immediately thought window, of course!  So I did a cropped/masked stamped image of this sweet little girl (and sentiment too) from MFT, Pure Innocence, I Pick You!  I wanted her to be peeking in on the recipient of this card, you know just checking up on them!  I also did a cropped/masked stamped image of the bouquet of flowers she was holding, but to be honest, it just looked creepy!  You could see her arms and flowers, but nothing more....super creepy!  So I looked through a bunch of my other stamps and found this pot of pretty little posies from Gina K Designs, Baskets Of Happiness.  Perfect!

Images colored with Copic Markers and Sakura Glaze Pens added to all flowers.

She's just super sweet, I think!

Thanks so much for stopping by.....hope you have a grand weekend!!!

Enjoy~~

I Pick You

Hello Again!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at MFT, Sketch and Color.

Here is my card:

I used the MFT stamp set, Pure Innocence, I Pick You and the Blueprints #12 die set.  I think she is just the sweetest!   I made a frame and added texture using the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.  The flowers were made using the dies.  Image colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut out and popped up using 3D Pop Dots.

Using a Glaze Sakura Pen I added black centers to her sweet little posies.

I hope she brings some joy to someone in need of a little cheer.

Thanks for stopping by, love it when you do!

Enjoy~~

Summer Posies

Good Morning!

Today's card will be entered into several Challenges;

MFT, Sketch
Simon Says Monday, Summer (Posies, Designer Papers And Colors Used)
Dies R Us, Stars & Stripes (Striped DP, Star Sick Pin, MFT Blueprints #12 Dies)
Mod Squad, Pattern Paper (Echo Park, Summer)
Simon Says Wednesday We're Going Dotty (Swiss Dots Embossing Folder)

My sweet little girl image and sentiment is by My Favorite Things, Pure Innocence, I Pick You.  Isn't she so cute standing there offering you her pretty little summer bouquet?  I wanted to make you feel the flavor of summer by using these bright, bold, happy, summer colors.  They remind me of lemonade and watermelon, 2 of summer's delights!

While my sweet girl is hand cut, the dies I used are also from My Favorite Things, Blueprints #12, this die set has so many wonderful dies, all very versatile, circles, banners, flags, flowers, leaves, etc.  Images colored with Copic Markers and accented with Sakura Glaze & Glitter Pens.  Melon Mambo Ink.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.  Sheer Ribbon, Pink Ribbon Bow and White Star Stick Pin to jazz it up a bit.  I also added a little circle of Vellum to the circle die cut, adds a bit of mystery.  And a few dotted stars to the inside border.

Thanks so much for coming by.

Today kicks off the long Holiday Weekend.....mine starts at about noon today, after work.

Enjoy~~

Good Morning, hope you are all dong well.

Today's card will be entered into 2 Challenges at My Favorite Things, Sketch and Color.

Typically I don't work with children, but isn't she sweet?  lol

I used some of the new items I got from MFT, they were kind enough to award me with a $20 gift certificate from a Sketch Challenge with PageMaps.....thankyouverymuch!  So, I chipped in some more money and got a lovely little package of Happy Mail!  :)  She happened to be in the order, as well as that gorgeous little Flourish die and a few other things.

The stamp image is Pure Innocence, I Pick You and the die is Fancy Flourish, I also used the banner from Blue Prints #12.  Copic Markers and Enamel Brads.

Apparently sometimes Less IS More.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
