Fall Sunflowers

Back again!

This card will be entered into the following Challenges:

Power Poppy, Over The Edge.
Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

My dear friend, Barbara Campbell is a guest host over at Power Poppy!
How cool is that?!?!
I am soooo thrilled that Marci and the gang have recognized her talents.
Yippee and Yahoo!

Barb is just one of those wildly talented gals,
she is kind and generous and a happy little soul.
I am so thankful to call her friend!  Love Ya, Barb!!!

You can check out her awesome Challenge here:  Over The Edge
and her  awesome Blog here:  My Creative Room.
You should really check out both!
And while you're there leave a little love for her!  xoxo

I used the Power Poppy die sets,  In Praise of Sunflowers and Short Stacks!
That sunflower is perfect for creating cards for this time of year!
I stamped the large sunflower image off the paper, in Amalgam Black ink,
turned and did it again.   I also added a couple of extra leaves here and there.
Images colored with Copic Markers.

Placed a wonky panel, covered with my stamped panel.
Added a bit of chunky Jute Twine for accent and ink splatters
in Timber Brown and Crushed Curry.
Fun Foam, the stamped panel is nice and sturdy.

Now run right over to Barb's place and her AHmazing Challenge!

Gooooooooooooooooooooo!

Happy Birthday To You

Hello!

Another birthday card to share with you today, you can never have enough on hand!

This will be entered into the Challenges at; Power Poppy, Love To Sparkle and Simon Says Wednesday, Add A Die Cut.

Again, I was in a coloring kind of mood!

I used the Power Poppy stamp set; Short Stacks
This is one of my most favorite images to color.
Copic Markers.
Itty Bitty Flower Sequins in Yellow.

The Grid Frame is by Simon Says.
I cut from Yellow card stock and backed it with Black so it would POP!  I also backed it with Fun Foam so the colored image could nestle inside of it.  It adds quite a bit of dimension in this manner.

Images, inside and out, coated with WOS to sparkle and shine.
VERY difficult to capture on camera.  You can see a little bit on the bottom package.
Sigh.

Nope, not from this angle either......but it is there!

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

Happy 99th, Judy's Dad

Good Morning!

This card was so much FUN to make (I think I say that about every card lol)  But this was FUN for the making AND for the sending.  I sent it off to my dear BFF Judy Woodland's Dad, Merritt, he hit a milestone birthday of 99 years!  Isn't that just the coolest?

I teased her that her dad will be 99 years older than my grand daughter, Penny.....when she arrives next month....did I just say next month?  JOY!!!

I will be entering this card in the Challenges at; Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!, Simon Says Work It Wednesday, Favorite Stamps and Scrapy Land, Anything Goes!

I made another of those 4 Fold Panel cards, you can check out from Dawn's Video HERE.

Front of card.

I die cut from Gold Foil and also Heat Embossed in Gold Powders, to make everything Regal!

My BFF Judy Woodland had that made for me years ago....so kind and generous is that one!

The card folds nice and flat.

Here it is fully opened.
See all of that space you can decorate in any manner?

Happy 87th, Mom

Happy Monday!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at; Simon Says Monday, We've Got Your Number, Simon Says Wednesday, Showers and/or Flowers and Scrapy Land, Spring Blooms.

I found this awesome Video by Dawn for a Four Fold Card.  I have never seen these before, but loved it.  Check it out for yourself!

This card will fit into a regular A2 size envelope, pretty cool!  I used White and Turquoise Sea card stock by Gina K Designs.  My Designer Paper is by The Craft Smith, Tea Party.  It has these beautiful turquoise and pink roses all on a background of pretty gold.  I also added Gold and Hot Pink Foiled die cuts to accentuate the gold of the Designer Paper.  Crafty Ann Butterfly 6 die. The small hearts are from the Memory Box Homespun Heart die cut.

This is the card fully opened, pretty impressive, aye?  Dawn shares all of the sizes in her video.

Altenew  stamp and die sets; Beautiful Day and Wild Hibiscus.

Power Poppy stamp sets; Go Wild, Potted Primroses and Short Stacks.

Inks in; Bermuda Bay and Raven Black.  Copic Markers.

Gina K Designs stamp set Simple Numbers.  Spellbinders Standard Circle die.

Very back of card.  I used the Stampin' Up! Sealed With Love stamps and Love Notes die set.  Made the small little envelope and tucked a note inside, this is where I will add my little handwritten note.

Obviously you can decorate the panels anyway you like, but I kind of followed along with Dawn's examples.

Also made a matching envelope, which she'll probably save.  :)

This was a lot of FUN to create!  I think I will make one for a 99 year man I know.

Thanks for coming by.

Enjoy~~

Book Marks

Good Morning!

I was having a very hard time wrapping my head around Marcella's Challenge over at Power Poppy, Coloring Outside The Lines.....ooooh man, this is a tough one for me.....but I think I finally have come up with something.  These will also be entered into the Challenges at Simon Says Monday, Powder Power and Simon Says Wednesday, Gift It.

So here we go!

I used the Short Stacks and the Go Wild stamp sets from Power Poppy.  All sentiments and images embossed in Black Embossing Powder.  Then using Distress Inks in Fired Brick and Squeezed Lemonade I added my color all around.  Large Eyelet and Floss to complete the book mark.

This one uses the Potted Primrose stamp set by Power Poppy. Again images and sentiment embossed in Black Embossing Powder.  Distress inks in Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Salty Ocean.  Large Eyelet, Floss and Vellum to complete the book mark.

Using my water brush I also dropped water all over to lift some of the inks off, kind of love that look.

Tough Challenge, but I am glad I at least tried it!

Thanks for coming by.

Enjoy~~

Enjoy Life

Good Morning!  I am not going to say a word about the weather.....but just go feel your card stock....that says A LOT!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at; Power Poppy, CSI (copy, steal, inspire--but not really steal), Scrapy Land, Anything Goes! Stamping Sensations, Anything Goes!  and Penny Black, Anything Goes, With A Stamp.

I found this pretty card on the Power Poppy Must See Customer Creations, it is by Patti's Stamping Studio (her Blog has been removed from the interwebs).

Here's what I came up with:

I used the Power Poppy stamp set, Short Stacks ( I just ADORE this set!)  Images colored with Copic Markers.  I added texture to my background using a Paisley Embossing Folder by Sizzix.   Spellbinders Classic and Scallop Ovals dies.

A little free hand paper piercing using an oval die as a guide, half a doily backdrop.  Green Gingham Ribbon, double bow--impressive!  Button and Twine for accents.  I cropped the sentiment, removing sip by sip.

LOVED Patti's color and design.....if she's out there I hope she sees this!

Thanks for coming by the crime scene!

Enjoy~~
