Easter Poppies & Some Junk

I absolutely LOVE Poppies. I think they are so cheerful. I decided to make a bouquet of Poppies in pastels using Stampin' Up! inks and coffee filters. The filters proved to be the perfect material for this project. I planned on this being a quick activity, but it turned into a 2 week ordeal. My fingers are very happy to get a break from the glue gun, but it's short-lived. I have plans on another flower adventure very soon. Possibly later today!

My style at home is mostly composed of items found in old barns, junk yards, antique shops, and occasionally a dumpster. I like to call myself a Junk Gypsy. As my husband tosses old tractor parts in the garbage, I'm diving in to retrieve them. He thinks I'm crazy, but I love it. After all, one man's junk is another man's treasure!

So, I decided to put my little lovelies in an old galvanized canister I found at a shabby chic junk sale. I think they go together quite nicely. They definitely go well in my house. And for once, I have flowers that I can't kill!

Hearts a Flutter #145: I want More Amore'

I decided now was a good time to use up all of last year's Valentine's Day supplies. I still am totally in {love} with More Amore'. I really REALLY wish they would have continued it. What beautiful colors! Anyway, I still had a bunch of other retired embellishments that have been begging to be used. I'm a hoarder, so I save these things because I don't want to use them up, then they become retired and I'm stuck with them and can't really use them. Oh well, ya'll should know by now that I don't follow the rules!

Shop Around

I purchased the new roller stamp "Shop Around" from Stampin' Up! a while ago. I keep forgetting I have it because it's the only roller stamp I own, plus I haven't really found a home or it to store in yet. So, I was excited to put it to use. I am absolutely in LOVE with Crisp Cantaloupe. It' SCREAMS vintage to me. So, I set out to create a shabby, chic, vintagy card. I think it works well.

Thirsty Thursday

It's been a DOOZY of a day. Busy, busy, busy! And HOT. Did I mention it was HOT? I think I drank a gallon and a half of water while I worked outside in the yard...and I'm STILL parched! After dinner I gave my hubby the look. You know, that look an obsessed crafting crazy paper freak gives their husband when they want to escape into la la land? He knows that look all too well. I don't even have to say anything. I just look at him and he laughs and shakes his head. He'll never understand. He's a man.

I locked myself in my craft room and turned up the music. Good ole' Pandora! Here is what I came up with tonight. It's a spin off of lastnights card. Same design, just different colors. I love how it turned out!

Ink ~ Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride
