Double Dose
It seems to be red, white, and blue week around here! Every where I've looked there's another challenge for something in those colors. I'm not even going to attempt to do all those challenges but will enter a couple
But, first of all - I went very CAS in order to focus on this precious little image from Wendy Burns' Etsy Shop! Be sure and check out her digi shop and note that she'll be adding more soon!! When you look at her digis, look at each one. Like with this image you get 2 individual dog images, 1 scene, and one parrot with wording. This is a great deal!!! She's such a talented lady and know you'll love all her digi images.
I'll enter this in the challenge at Simon Says Stamp Challenge - anything goes.
My second card is ....... yep.......red, white, and blue! What can I say. I've seen several cards using this same design out in blog land and thought I'd give it a whirl. Another very CAS card. The blue strips were embossed and the red left as is. The sentiment is from Jibber Jabber, The Alley Way Stamps. I added the star (die cut), brad, and then the ribbon to finish off the card. As I said, very CAS but think this will be great for my OWH box!
I'll enter this in the inspiration challenge at The Alley Way Stamps.

Gone to Pot
Time for a FUNNY FRIDAY!!!!!
A little (toilet) humor and a short story..............
I really won't go into all the DIRTY details of this, but.....every time Jim's sister comes to visit, she stops up the toilet! No one really knows what she's doing in there - and we don't WANT to know either, but it happens every time. LOL! Last time they were here Jim and his brother in law ended up having to go outside and dig up part of the sewer line to fix the problem! Talk about a messy job.......but it had to be done!! After that little episode, every time she'd go into the bathroom, we'd start banging on the door with warnings (and a lot of laughter of course). I also took the plunger and tied a bow on it and put it in the bathroom - just for her! LOL!! I'm going to send this to her so she'll know we still want her to come back!
The image is from Dude Time Doodles.....it was a freebie last week but you can still find it in the DTD store.
The idea of the little flower came after seeing Tammy's card last week. She had an entire bouquet on hers and I loved it (go by and check out all her wonderful cards) but all you get on mine in one single flower! In fact, if you check out the Dude Time Doodles blog you'll see all the DT's cards with this image - and just be amazed.
I'll enter this in the challenge at Art Impressions Stamps (Make Us Laugh).
Thanks for stopping by......and remember to always flush, conserve toilet paper, and have that plunger handy.....................KEEP SMILING..........

The Lonesome Tree
I know you're probably looking at this card and thinking - where in the world did she come up with THAT! LOL! This is soooooo not me!
A group I belong to on SCS called Stamp Addicts decided to start doing a technique challenge among ourselves to try to learn some new things. Darlene got it all coordinated and our fist challenge is the Reflection technique. You can find directions on how to do this in the Resources at SCS.
Anyway, I read through the tutorial, then read it again - and again.....Ok, I can do that! But then when I started putting the stamp to the paper it was a totally different story! This was the end result.....and I really wasn't going to put that sentiment there, but, it's covering up this wonderful smudge!!! After stamping this baby about 15 times to try to get it right, I sure wasn't going to worry about a little smudge!
I keep thinking of it as a work of art - you know, the further you get back from it the better it looks!!! So scoot back from your computer screen and you'll see what I mean.........looks pretty awesome now, doesn't it! LOL!

Back in My Comfort Zone
Now, this one is more ME! I enjoyed making the last card (giraffe) and all the distressing, etc., but this is just more my speed. Hopefully it's not boring!
I actually CASEd this from the current Stampin Up catalog. When I saw the card, I was "sold" on the stamp set (Three Little Words)! I just like the clean look of it.
I used Chocolate Chip, Pixie Pink, White, and Good Neighbor DP (very small pink stripe). The ink I used was Pixie Pink and Chocolate Chip. I stamped the "T" in Pixie Pink and then stamped it again, cut it out, and popped it up on dimensionals. The ribbon is some I picked up at Michaels.
Thanks for stopping by..........
