Smile! – It's a PaperArtsy Card with Topflight Stamps

Hello Topflight Stamps fans! This week our theme is "Anything Goes". This is always a great chance for me to pull out some of my favorites and have a play. I'm a big fan of the PaperArtsy designer Lynne Perrella so I went straight to the stamp sets I have of hers.

For this card I chose the Asian art inspired Set 23 (currently out of stock but you can always use Set 21). I have a collection of Japanese patterned paper that I used to make a 'patchwork' card background. The focal image is stamped and embossed with black embossing powder, then watercolored.

Summer Butterflies with Topflight Stamps

Summer is the season for sighting butterflies so I was inspired to use them as a card motif. I love the PaperArtsy stamps designed by Lynne Perrella and this lovely lady from set LPC043 fit the bill nicely.

I cut a mask to fit over the PaperArtsy stamp and then stamped a background image using Trio of Inky Butterflies from Crafty Individuals.

Lynne Perrella PaperArtsy Card with Topflight Stamps

Hello, I had a chance to play with some of my favorite Lynne Perrella PaperArtsy stamps and created this card to share with you today.

The background is a Gel Press print. (Warning: gel printing is highly addictive!)

I used a double stamping technique with the main image. This is a great technique to have in your toolbox. Take a look:

You need a stamp platform. Stamp an initial image with waterproof ink. I then used PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Paint to paint in the stamp design. I like using Fresco paint because the chalk finish is really easy to stamp on top of. Plus there are so many beautiful colors!

Once painted and dry, stamp back over the top to get the details back. Easy peasy!

Focus on PaperArtsy for Topflight Stamps

Hello everyone! I'm filling in over on the Topflight Stamps blog this week and the focus is on the PaperArtsy brand. (Which I love!) Their stamps, paints and mediums are fabulous to create with. One of my favorite designers of theirs is Lynne Perrella and I had a new stamp set that needed to see some ink!

Lisa Hoel for Topflight Stamps - focus on PaperArtsy and creative goodness! #topflightstamps #creativejuicefreshsqueezed

I began with creating a background with Distress Spray Stains and a little pinch of PaperArtsy Infusions Dye powder (Golden Sands). Infusions are intensely strong grains of dye pigment and a little goes a long way! After that I stamped the images and then colored them with watercolor paint. I also stamped in the background to add more visual texture.

Thanks for stopping by! Keep an eye on the Topflight Stamps blog as the talented Design Team has something new for you to see nearly every day! Visit the Topflight Stamps store for a wide selection of art stamps and supplies from all around the world. PLUS, now through Sunday there is a 20% off sale in the Fall/Halloween collections.

PaperArtsy Tag with Topflight Stamps

Hello! I hope you are having a nice week. (It is rather snowy here at the moment.) I'm here today to share a tag I made featuring a PaperArtsy stamp set designed by Lynne Perrella (I love her stamps!)

The base is from Studio Light (the black tag from the multi-color pack) that I lightly brayered some Slate Fresco paint onto. I then used silver paint, a Gel Press plate and the Stained Glass Gel Press Texture Printing Plate to print onto the tag. I added additional texture by dabbing embossing ink through a stencil and embossing it with Gunmetal powder.

I die cut some hand marbled paper in my stash to layer on top of all the base layers. Ribbon and additional die cuts came next.

For the focal image, I stamped it with archival ink onto watercolor paper and then painted it with watercolors. When it was dry, I rubbed embossing ink over the whole thing and added three layers of Seth Apter's Vintage Beeswax embossing powder over the top.

Thanks for stopping by! Below is a list of supplies I used. Be sure to check out the Topflight Stamps blog for more inspiration. There is always something fun to see there!

Christmas Decor with Topflight Stamps

Hello there! It's Christmas in July time and today I'm sharing a project I made for Topflight Stamps using a Lynne Perrella Christmas stamp set. It's a simple little mixed media canvas that would make a great decoration for Christmastime.

This started as a 5x7 inch canvas that I painted dark blue. I used the (non flowery & buggy) corner of the Stamperia Dragonfly & Butterfly Stencil with black modeling paste to add some texture. When that was dry, I misted it with Mica Spray and Spray Distress Stain to add some glimmer and help delineate the stenciled texture.

Next I used Prima waxes to highlight the raised areas further and add more glimmer. (You can't have too much shine in a Christmas decoration. ;-) )

I stamped the PaperArtsy angel image onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock (smooth side) with archival ink and then watercolored and stenciled on it.

Thanks for stopping by! Below is a list of supplies I used. Be sure to check out the Topflight Stamps blog for more inspiration. There is always something fun to see there! Have a great week. =)

Also, there is a Christmas in July sale going on right now through July 15th at Topflight Stamps!
