Tiny Christmas

My current favourite embossing folder is a slimline holly folder and it's not big enough for a full 6" x 6" cardbase, so I've embossed the top two-thirds and left the bottom third for the sentiment.

I've watercoloured a Santa stamp from the Tiny Christmas set and used the matching die to cut him out and raise him on foam pads to lift him above my embossed layer.

I've used some satin ribbon to cover up the edge of the embossed section.

Absolutely Abominable

Hello chaps, Squirrel here today, with a couple of right little monsters for you.

When I say "monsters", I am using the term quite loosely, as these are
the sweetest monsters ever.

Snow cone anyone?

Aren't they gorgeous?!

Fiona Loves Flowers

It's my mid-week post for Dies to Die For and I've used one of my favourite images from Stamping Bella. She's called Fiona loves Flowers and it's safe to say that I love Fiona!  I've not tried her in blond before and blonds do scare me a bit in terms of colouring, but I took a leaf out of the lovely Squirrel's book and used some Scattered Straw ink which gave it a beautiful golden shine.  The 40 sentiment was cut out 3 times in purple card and once in the patterned papers so it's quite well padded!

Uptown Girls Audrey Loves Her Make-Up

Morning everyone! It's Friday again yay! Today I'm sharing a card I was asked to make by a friend at work for her Mum.  The brief I had to work from was that she liked Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn, that she loved fashion and that her favourite colours were black orange and green.

I must admit that I skipped the green as trying to put those 3 colours together really wasn't working for me on a card.

Anyway I chose the fabulous Uptown Girls Audrey Loves Her Make-Up from Stampin' Bella, perfect to fit the Audrey Hepburn part I thought. I actually used Halloween papers (just to show they're versatile lol) for the black and orange as they were the only papers I had with that colour combo, and I can't find them in the store now, but you could use something like Thrilling to a similar effect, I just avoided the more Halloween prints with bats and spiders.

I used the fab big stitched and pierced rectangles, these are great for helping to make a layout in a hurry with no fuss and i mounted her on some dies from the Make a Card #4 set.

My friend loved it and I must admit that after struggling a bit with it I really love the way it turned out.

La-La Land Dress Form
(I couldn't find the link to this in the store anymore, but I'm sure Tracy would get in in for you if you asked)

That's all from me today, see you again next week! :) xx

Cherry Blossom

Good morning!! Linda here to share some Friday inspiration with you.

I made a card using an older Saturated Canary image from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.

I've linked the items used at the end of my post.

This is Cherry Blossom, isn't she pretty?

Tracy has this stamp on sale, so if you want to pick up a bargain go snap it up while she still has stock left!

I coloured her up with my Distress Ink markers (and one Spectrum Aquatint marker) to match these pretty Pion papers.

Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose
Hair: Slate (SA), Black Soot
Clothing & Background: Bundled Sage, Slate (SA), Tattered Rose, Abandoned Coral, Gathered Twigs
I didn't stitch my layers this time because I did a lot of distressing on my papers, I really like the way it turned out.

Baby Boy Mini Album

Happy Friday everyone! Linda here.  If you're in the UK I hope you're looking forward the the long Bank Holiday weekend.  It's even longer for me because I have a whole week off, so there won't be much to see from me next week as I'm going away to Guernsey for a few days and then to my parents to celebrate my Dad's 85th!

Anyway, this is my cute little mini album made with Carta Bella Baby Mine Boy....I just love these papers sooooo much!

To be honest this could as easily work for a girl where the family isn't much into pink, also.

This is the front, I went for a 3 ring binding this time. I really love the way this came out.

The inside pages.  There are photo mats on all pages and spaces for tags. There's a flip open page that closes with a small magnet and also a flip down page with a ribbon and button closure.

I used lots of fun die cuts to embellish along with some buttons and enamel dots.

It's quite late as I'm writing this and I'm half asleep, but I will post a video on my blog at the weekend, so that you can see all the removable mats, tags and flip out pages.

I used the following items:
Dies to Die for
Silver Tone Feet Charm

Well that's all from me today, I hope you like it and that it inspires you to have a go :) xx

Emma - rocker card

Happy Friday everyone!
It's Linda here with my regular Dies to Die for inspiration post.  It's not often that I get some time to try something different, but I've seen a couple of my friends make rocker cards recently and I thought I'd like to have a try.

This is how it came out.

I kept my design fairly simple as there wasn't tons of space. The strip of paper from the bottom of the paper sheet made a pretty border. I managed to fit a few flowers on one side and underneath that I added one of the lovely new polymer frames that Tracy has in stock from Scrapberry's. These come in a set of 4 and are very inexpensive. They come in plain white but I fancied mine up with a little frantage, doesn't it look wonderful?

I coloured Emma up with my distress ink and Aquatint markers and decided to give her a funky hair colour.

A few close ups for you, isn't that little frame fab?

I used the following Dies to Die for  products to make my card

Well that's all from me today, I hope I've inspired you to try something new, and I'll see you again next Friday! :) xx
