AG 3-D Flower Dies

How many of you watch HSN every time they have a craft day?  I was in VA when they had the one in July.  That didn't keep me from watching and my daughter-in-law kept encouraging me to buy "stuff".  I was pretty bad.  One of things I bought was Anna's 3-D Flower Dies.  In case you haven't noticed I love flowers.  Today, I finally got out the dies and made this card.

Card Details:
5X7 Card base - I made this card base from paper with gradient colors
Background design - embossing folder from Cuttlebug Bird Cages and Branches dies and embossing folders.
Flowers & leaves- Anna's 3-D Flower dies - cut from gradient paper
Sentiment

Thank you for joining me today.  I hope you're getting excited about the upcoming Blog Hop on August 1 with Graciellie Design and Paper Temptress.  I know I am.

God Bless You!!!  Peggy

Blessings Card - My Scrap Chick

If you ever use SVGs My Scrap Chick is having a wonderful sale right now.  The deal is if you order 10 items, you get them for .50 cent each, no matter what the original cost.  I ordered 11 items for $5.50.  Some of them were multi-item svg's.  This card came from a product called Blessings Trio which consisted of the card, a basket and a box.

I tried uploading the svg into Cricut Design Space but it didn't upload correctly.   So I decided to try importing into Silhouette Studio.  It imported flawlessly so I used  my Cameo to cut out all the pieces.  The Cameo did not cut as well as my Cricut Explore but at least I didn't  have the hassle of resizing everything.  I'm hoping this will be corrected for CDS soon.

I cut the card and all the embellishments exactly as designed, embossed the background piece with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and assembled the card.  I think it will make a darling Thanksgiving card.

Thank you for your visit today.  God Bless You!!! Peggy

A Foiled Birthday Card

I guess you all have heard of one of the latest things in crafting and that is foiling.  When Anna Griffin introduced her Minc machine on HSN, of course I had to order it.  Truthfully, I haven't used it much.  Actually I haven't been very active creatively for a while.  It seems my open heart surgery took a lot out of me.  Well this week, I made up my mind I was going to make something with it.  The results were this card.

I cut 3 balloon shapes from toner paper (it has to be toner, it can't be from and ink jet printer), chose 3 different color foil sheets and ran them through the Minc machine.

I embossed the card base with the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug folder, adhered my balloons, added some twine and a sentiment I cut from Cricut Design Space.

Thank you for visiting with us today.  We enjoy reading your comments.  God Bless You!!! Peggy

Floral Embellishments/Cuttlebug Card

This card features another of Anna Griffin's Floral Embellishments.  I used the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Folder to emboss the card base.  The pink background was cut with one of Anna Griffin's Dies.  These dies add so much to a card.  I added a bow to the flowers.

Thank you for visiting with us today.  God Bless You!!!! Peggy

Eureka Challenge - Father's Day

Today is Eureka Stamps Challenge Day.  Our theme this week is Father's Day.  It's just around the corner so we need to be getting those cards ready.  My Dad left this earth for his heavenly home in 1999 and my husband left us for heaven in 2010.  Since then I've not made too many Father's Day Cards.  My son will probably get this one.  I kept it Clean and Simple.

Card Supplies:
A2 card base
Background paper from my stash
Image - Eureka's Father's Day Sentiment - digi9006 Happy Fathers Day with Stars. Eureka has quite a few lovely sentiments for Fathers but since my Father is not alive, it limited what I could use.  Please check out their digi stamps, rubber stamps and other products.
Labels - cut with Cricut Explore
Embossing - Cuttlebug folders

Here's a close up of the sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will join us in this challenge.  God Bless You!!!  Peggy

Two Masculine Birthday Cards

I have two brothers and their birthdays are in January.  I needed some inspiration so I got on Pinterest to see if I could find some masculine cards.  I've never spent a lot of time on Pinterest but I did that day.  It is a wonderful resource to find inspiration and to display your creations.  This is my take on a couple of cards I saw that day.  I hope my brothers will appreciate them.

I embossed both card bases with the Cuttlebug Birthday Embossing Folder.  The paper is Blue Awning by K & Co.
I used the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge for the Label on this one, then inked everything with Outdoor Denim Ink by Close To My Heart.
On this one, I used the Cricut Artiste Cartridge for the flags.  The label & sentiment was made with the Silhouette Cameo.  I love how you can add your sentiment to a label, then print and cut it.  Everything was inked with a chestnut colored ink.

Now if you know anything about me, you know that I have a hard time with masculine cards.   So much so that I sent my grandson in CA a store bought card for his birthday in November thinking it doesn't matter to him.  When he was home for Christmas he let me know how disappointed he was.  He said he had saved all my handmade cards through the years and then I send him a store bought one.  I promised I would do that again.  OOOPS!!

Thank you for visiting with us.  God Bless You!!!! Peggy

Fancy Square Frame Card

I want to share 3 cards with you today.  They are all made with the same cut file but just a little bit different.  This Cameo cut file is called Card Fancy Square Frame.  You can find it here.  First I will show you two that are alike except different flowers.

The flowers are from Anna Griffin Beautiful Bouquets Floral Die Cuts.  They can be found here.  There are 72 layered floral die cuts in this package and they are exquisite.  I cut the card exactly as it is.
This next card is my favorite.

I cut the card out of white cardstock (80 lb.).  Actually I cut the card out of blue glitter paper first.  It was too flimsy so I took the front and layered it onto the white.  I cut the inside label and embossed it with a Anna Griffin Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.  I lightly colored the embossed image with Promarkders.  I love how it turned out.

Here is a close up of the colored, embosssed image.

The insides of the cards:  These cards can be used with whatever message you want to convey.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you found some inspiration.  Like Donna said, our Cricut machines are getting jealous but you know you have to play with a new machine to get the feel of it.  We are still going to display Cricut cards so don't leave us.  We appreciate your visits and comments.  God Bless You!!!  Peggy
