{ Technique Tuesday All Stamping Tech Challenge: Color }

Teri challenged us to make a project based on this color scheme. You can see more beautiful examples here.
I used Simply Stated, Message in a Banner, Glee (for the background) and The Cupcakery.

 I stamped the cupcake on patterned paper. Once it was cut I added Stickles.
 I stamped my background with music notes and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I used Shimmerz spray for the background.
For the banner  stamp I was able to use my Cricut and SCAL software to make a template for the base. Once it was cut I just stamped my banner. I used this great tutorial.

***If you missed out on December Daily stamp set by Ali Edwards you can let them know and if enough people sign up they will make more.

I have started my December Daily 2010 album. You can see my completed album and pages

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge - These are a few of my favorite things....}

Hello and welcome to another Impression Obsession DT challenge. We have challenges every other week - DETAILS HERE - if you play you could win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

My Favorite Things, from The Sound of Music (words to the song at the end of my post). I looked at all the stuff that I had and one stamp was perfect for the challenge - Gift of Love CL137 - brown paper packages tied up with strings. The song makes me happy so I used all my favorite colors together.
 I stamped the background with Cover-a-card Snowflakes CC066 using VersaMark and clear embossing powder with glitter (hard to see in the photo). I sprayed the background with Shimmerz Vibez Spritz.
The lace circle die cut is from Laina Lamb digital kit. I used my Cricut Expression to cut it out, the size that I want!!! I used my SCAL and Cricut to cut the borders, as well.

I colored the image with watercolors. I have this Watercolor Wheel Stack Pack by Koh-I-Noor that I love. The colors are really bright. I added Stickles to the tree. The sentiment is from Holiday Borders CL137.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things

When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad.

I hope you'll take the time to visit the other designers' blogs for inspiration! Jenny, Dina, Laura, Julie, Jeanne, Kathy and Deborah.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge - Lazy Days of Summer }

Hello and welcome to another Impression Obsession DT challenge. You know, we have challenges every other week - DETAILS HERE - if you play you could win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

For this card I wanted to try a round card for the Mojo Monday 145 sketch. It is so easy now that I have my Cricut Expression. I used scalloped circle Nestie SVG file from Penny Duncan Creations. Using my SCAL I welded the two shapes together to make a card. The Core'dinations cardstock is embossed with Cuttlebug embossing folder.

 I stamped blue patterned paper with Cover-a-Card Distressed Corduroy (CC047) using blue ink. I love the way that looks and I will be using that stamp again! The yellow crepe paper is left over from my Summer Mini kit  that I am giving away.

Flower 1 (C5571) was stamped with Scarlet Glimmer Mist and cut out. It was left over from another project. I added Sunshine Yellow Flower Soft to the flower center.
The butterfly is from Lucky Ladybugs stamp set (CL208). I added Sunshine Yellow, Delphinium Blue and Sage Ultra Fina Flower Soft to the butterfly.

The Journaling I (WP165) note background is stamped with Cover-a-card Roses (CC043). The sentiment is from Summer Seals (CL107) stamp set . I tucked a little stamped scallop behind the flower and that is from Happiness Is? (CL122).

Wow, how many stamp sets did I use? My favorites are always around so I reach for them. Plus, when I make things I experiment and save little bits and pieces that I later use on other projects. Flower, journaling note and the scalloped circle...all left over from different projects.

{ The Cutting Cafe' butterfly card }

I used my Cricut Expression to cut the butterfly card shape. I embossed the front of the card with Cuttlebug embossing folder. I cut two different size butterflies for the top. I use my SCAL software to resize those files to any size that I want.
I stitched around the edges of the top butterfly with floss. The flowers are from Flower Pot Shaped Card Template and Cutting file. I cut those with my Cricut, as well. The leaves are a Hero Arts stamp that I stamped on cardstock and cut out.

For the antennas, I used two Prima flowers.

The sentiment is printed on cardstock and it's from  Flower Pot Shaped Card Template and Cutting file.

Here are some photos of our visit to the Duck Creek Blackberry farm  last weekend. Alex had so much fun. We filled a large bucket of delicious blackberries that we ate all week.

I made a Blackberry cobbler for the first time and it was so good. I got a great recipe here, but made some changes as suggested in some of the reviews.

Enjoy your weekend.
