Let’s Peek into September!

Not going to say too much because all you quilters, knitters, seamstresses and anyone that does handwork will find out soon enough, but you’re going to LOVE this September release!!

Kinda gave it away didn’t I…or did I?!

This card was done for the Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast, and this was my inspiration.

The dress stamp is called Elizabeth, embossed and watercolored with reinkers. The quote is from Stitches, and is also embossed. That beautiful lacy doily is from the Doily Die and it’s cut from Soulful Stitches Collection paper! I also added Beautiful Borders from another piece of the paper collection.

The base is Spellbinders Grand Labels 1, watercolor paper is Marvelous Squares.

Just Doodling Around!…. #210 A Sassy Challenge

Another newer image that is right up my alley! This is Hold That Pose, Please. Joey is playing with her new camera and hoping those birds hold still long enough to get a good shot! I know all too well how that is!!

The sentiment is by ODBD, My Friend.

I haven’t done a ‘different’ card for a while, so decided on a Twisted Easel and simple doodling. And, believe me…. when I say simple, I mean SIMPLE! Just wait until you see some of the other sassy cards! They took doodling to a whole new level!

For the past few years, I’ve had a little Wren build her nest in the pipe end by one of my gates to the llamas. I love their bubbly song, and even their scolding when I get too close to their nest! LOL, they’re so cute!

One day I happened, just like Joey, to have my camera with me and waited, hoping Momma Wren would stick her head out to see just what I was doing!

And she did! But not for long! She flew off and sat in a nearby tree giving me the dickens for going through the gate! Too fun!

A Couple of Dies…A Shade of Purple… #209 A Sassy Challenge

As soon as Cheryl shared this digi that she was working on, I couldn’t wait to get it and color it up! A KAYAK!! Yes!!!

When we were looking at getting our kayaks I wanted a purple one! But…. the style we got I don’t think is even made in purple and the shop only had certain colors in stock anyway. …so I told hubby I'd have to get some colorful decals or something to put on mine! I’ve yet to do that though, LOL!

Anyhoo… this challenge was perfect because I could color the kayak PURPLE!!!

This is Reckless Waves….how cute is this with Sally and Bella paddling along! I’ve yet to take one of our dogs with me, but I do have a visor and life vest!

It’s colored with Copics, masked and airbrushed.

I used Spellbinders Labels 10 and 25 and embossed with the Swirls folder. The quote is ODBD Little Things.

This little cutie patootie is one of the newer images, Pigtail Gabby…I just love her! Pretty simple, just colored with Copics, dies are Lacey Ovals and Ovals. I used Bundled Sage and sponged just a bit on the edges, the DP is SEI.

Good friends ARE for keeps! I think I’ll pop this in the mail and surprise one of my friends!

The Boys Come Home….and a Card!

Back in August our local veterinary clinic asked if they could have a couple llamas to put in their paddocks (that are along the road frontage) for a few months. After all, they treat animals right? They should have animals there, right?

Buttons and Dapple were a big hit! People would stop by just to see them and the staff fell in love with them too!

The first time I stopped by to visit them, they came running to the fence, humming…. MOM!! Why did you leave us here??!! The next couple times….they would turn and look and that was it!

But, alas, no de-icer’s in the stock tanks and with the cold weather coming, their water was getting ice on it. Time to come home…and yesterday when we pulled in with the trailer…oh that was a different story! They hadn’t forgotten that!

Turning them out to pasture was another story! They had NO clue the new girls were here and of course the new girls had NO clue these guys belonged here! It was lots of sniffing, running, spitting…running! LOL! (and in case you’re wondering…I have my geldings and females together)

Finally everyone settled down… all is well. And in case you’re wondering how many there are… 18 llamas and 2 alpacas (just not all in these pics!).

And, now my card…. the sketch this week on Splitcoast.

I went simple, with dies, embossing and ribbon! The sentiment is from Earth Verses, Our Daily Bread designs, embossed in gold on the custom Antique Labels and Border die.

Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders 1, Fleur de Lis Squares are my layers along with embossing folders Victoria and snowflakes.

To add some stability to the ribbon, I added a piece of cardstock, 4.25x4.5, folded and adhered to the ribbon.

Can you see it under there? It gave just the right amount of space too to pop my sentiment up on foam squares!

My Christmas card list is getting checked off fast! I just might be able to sail into December without that mad rush to crank out a few more!!

It’s That Time of Year for… Sweaters….and Black Cats

One More for the Stash!

The Flower Soft girls are featuring our favorites this week! I love these Theater Card Downloads, but you don’t have to make it a ‘theater’ every time! This card was so quick and easy to make just using pieces from the Winter Fox download.

The images match different Spellbinders, but I chose to use circles for this card, outlined with a black Copic, then I added Polar White and Vintage Christmas. This is also the Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast this week.
