I found a great dresser the other day at the Flea Market and brought it home.
Before:
This dresser was a pretty aqua color and looks nice in the photo, but up close it was pretty dingy and dirty and it really needed a new coat of paint.
I mixed up Miss Mustard Seed milk paint, I combined Boxwood Green and Ironstone, to get a soft vintage green color.
I painted the dresser with 2 coats of the milk paint and after it had dried, I scraped off the flakes and distressed the edges of all the details.
I wanted the yellowy-white, the aqua and the green to show in the chippy layers.
The last step was to seal the dresser with Linseed oil/dark wax.
I love the details on the legs! |
