Don't worry, my blog titles won't be 'so many days' and counting every time you check in here! But for today it is :-) Here's another castle I want to visit. Julie reminded me of this one in her comment. This is Bamburgh Castle (pronounced like Edinburgh, but with Bam in front instead of Edin - sorry if that was rather obvious to you, but I thought I would just mention it for those who weren't sure!). Doesn't this look gorgeous? Here is the website if you'd like to read/see more.

I told my sister today that I must remember to bring a journal with me when I come this time. We will be there for 2 weeks and I know from past trips that I tend to forget what I did on what days by the time we come home! That would happen especially so on this trip. One day will just roll in to the next, and the next and the next. Of course I'll remember what we did, but on what days did we do it will be the question! Anyway, I think it will be fun to keep a journal each day of what we did and record Kristen's thoughts of her first 'real' trip to England (one that she will remember this time). It will be fun too to make note of the good old British weather each day too. Which apparently is a lovely 61 degrees right now!!! (and I'm kidding when I say 'lovely')
Today we went to church with my inlaws then out to lunch with them. Next week they will be visiting friends in Dallas and the following week we will be leaving. We won't see 'Grandma' for nearly a month! But we'll see Papa just before we leave when he comes to pick up Boo :-)
OK, nuff from me today. We're having a lovely relaxing afternoon. I've been reading and knitting and Kristen and Jason are playing Viva Pinata! I hope you're all enjoying your Sunday, whatever you're doing.

I don't mind one bit you counting down the days and I'm wondering if you'll be able to update your blog here at all whilst you're away? Also, how long will you be away? I would so love to see those beautiful castles and countryside, but for now I'll have to swoon over the beautiful pics you add. You'll have to give me your flight details so I can track you trip. I always do that when my kids are flying, and then I know if there are any hitches along the way and if they have made it safely. Your mam and siblings must be so excited, and how wonderful Kiki is old enough to converse and soak up the memories when you visit.
I just found out our flights have been swapped from a 747 (jumbo) to one of those huge new A380's and at no extra cost. We're stoked!
Thanks for Scrabbling....it's fun. xx
Dear Denise, thank you for your love, friendship and support. I've cried reading everyone's comments. It truly is inspiring and I am going to seriously talk with my doctor next week about how slow and depressed I've been. I hope to get out of it soon. I'm so excitied for you on your trip home to England. How I would love to travel there and see all the beautiful sites. Take lots of pictures and Ihope you keep the journal. I'll so look forward to reading about the trip. Till then take care, know I love you and thank you again for being such a dear friend. ~hugs~
:O) I am glad you've been counting to days down on your titles, so I know when you are going to be here. I have a terrible memory nowadays so it's good to see it written down.
You know when someone is computer obsessed when they say they are going 'site' seeing! ;o)
Weather not too bad at the moment. Have been in the garden with little one and it was quite warm really. Lots of cloud about though, and breeze seems to be building. I think this week is meant to be more of the sun/wind/shower mix that we've enjoyed lots of so far this summer.
Have a lovely Monday, and a great start to the week. xxx
forgot to say, I didn't take any photos of the watermelon ice lollies. Which explains why you couldn't find any! You got the recipe spot on thoguh, just whizzed up watermelon and a bit of icing sugar to sweeten and that was it. I agree, very, very nice indeed.
Right. Off for a brew, and maybe a Mr Kipling cake! xxxx
So pretty! I remember being in total awe of all the beautiful castles in Germany, the few times I've visited there. I'd really like to go to England as well.. hopefully some day!
Are you planning on bringing your laptop with you? You could just journal on that. Would be easy to print it off!
Hi! I can see/hear the excitement in your post! Like me when I go to Florida! We visited one castle in Germany when we lived there. I loved it. That one you have posted is beautiful. I'll be excited to hear about all your adventures when you get back too!. Have a good day. Hugs
Hi Denise! It'll be fun for you to get to play tourist in your home country. I'm excited to hear all about your trip and see the photos. Great idea to journal each day. How nice your in-laws will care for Boo while you're away! (((Hugz)))
Hey D! I'm excited for you to go "home" and visit family & that Kiki will remember it all this time!! I will be counting down with you... only I will be sadder than you because I'm gonna miss you a lot while you're away. I do hope you'll be able to sneak online somewhere & keep us updated if even a short post!
I'm trying to get myself back together after our vacation. It somehow feels easier this time - not sure why!
Hope you have a great week!
Hope to "chat" soon!
Hugs & Love xo
