Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #89 - Casino Royale

Who doesn't love a good BOND movie... Even with all the years of watching them marathon style with my dad I still LOVE James Bond... When I think of Bond.. I think of Shaun of course.. Shaun Connery... (MY Heart beats fast...) My D.H. is really enjoying the new Bond Daniel Craig.. And I agree with

Sankari did you notice the little liquid pearls.. he,he.. I was so excited to have a project to use them on so I can be just like you... LOVE YOU my favorite girl...

him for sure.. He really makes the secret agent thing work for him quite nicely... It's defiantly easier to buy that he is a spy and not just a ladies man... This Bond gets tortured, has real blood and scars, and gets down and dirty and still comes out on top... The new Bond movies have GREAT actions scenes... Hope they hurry up and make a new one....

This weekend is my D.H.'s Birthday so this card is for him.. Totally fitting for my man of mystery... He is 007 and melts my heart... I am LUCKY to have him. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

(Inside of card)

This layout by Taylor was my inspiration for the card layout...

Off to CELEBRATE!!

Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #77 America's Sweethearts

I have to say this was not one of my favorite movie of all time.. I though it was a really depressing movie actually.. One of the main things I drew from this movie was a "recipe" of what a good relationship really take to be successful. I felt like this movie was a "recipe" of how not to act. Wether it's you friend, sister or spouse.. You must always treat everyone the way you would like to be treated if not better. I have really been blessed to have found someone who treats me like the most important person in the world. And who has taught me to be a better person.

My Favorite part of this movie was the scene with KiKi and Eddie when they are having breakfast. Kiki has a realization that she has not been treated very good for quite some time. Eddie gives her a piece of toast he has buttered for her and she says. It this for me? No one has ever buttered toast for me. I don't like butter on toast but I am going to eat it because it's so amazing that you did that for me...

If only we could all think this way when people have done good for us and we don't exactly love what they have done and or given us...

"My American Sweetheart"
I was on Beate's blog a while back and saw her tutorial on a Easel card so I decided to give it a try.. If you would like to give it a go you can check out here tutorial here.

Thanks to all our girls who support us each and every week. We LOVE you all to death... Thanks for being patient with our Audrey announcements.. Sometimes happens..

Kristina's Color Challenge #56- Butterflies

What a fun card this was to make... I have had a LONG week... This morning I had a great stamp club with a couple a my favorite gals... We had a very unconventional stamp club.. I knew I was having only a few girls over because of all the summer activities everyone had. I decided to ask one of the girls what she really wanted to make or what she wanted to learn. She said I NEED new techniques.. I am getting in a slump. So as I watched Zach splash around this week. The though of Sewing on paper came to mind... When I told her she was so excited... I new she enjoyed sewing and has even brought one of her quilts to show us all.. So voila~ We made a patchwork card using the Bigz Top Note Die by Sizzix.. So fun to just create as we went... Then we concentrated on how to use our scraps and leftover elements... last but not least we learned how to use a layout template... We even found cards in the Stampin' Up catalog and sketched the layout on paper so we could see the layout and concentrate on stamps, paper and elements we already have... Now we can make a Christmas card from what was a Birthday card in the Catalog... I LOVE THE STAMPIN' UP CATALOG it is such a great resource for ideas and inspiration...

Long story short I still haven't picked up all the mess so I used my scraps and used one of the techniques we did in our class this morning... I love how simple this card is and how cool it looks..

Enjoy!

I have totally been out of my neighboor hood card group loop... I have been way to busy to say yes to 1 more thing... This time I did... I love all the girls in my card group... We have been making cards for one another for like 4 year now I think.. I have tons of card on top of what I make for my self.. What is a girl to do with so many cards... Give them away of course.. I share my cards with my neighbor who uses them for her church calling...(Job) Then they are not just sitting in a shoes box because I hord my crafty things.. But making others happy.. If you live my me and wonder... Weird.. I got a card that I made from someone not in the card group....Now you know... The only other girl in our group that has a card/craft blog is Shari.. You can check out her creations here. Did I mention she has blog CANDY!!! Go pay her a visit.

Enjoy and have a happy sunny Day!
