Gratitude

What a fun sketch... I had so much fun creating this card using Teresa Klines Sketch for Julee's 134th Mojo Monday. This card has so many layers and that's what made it so fun to play with. I decided to use that to my advantage. I haven't really played with the new paper pack (Sweet Pea) I ordered from the the Stampin' Up occasional mini catalog so I broke it out and WOW are there are SOOO many fun papers to choose from. If you haven't seen it you HAVE too.. It's soo Yummy!! You can see it here.

I also made my watermark on Stampin' Up's "My Digital Studio" cool huh!

The flowers were made using the "Flower Layers" Big Shot die from Stampin' Up.

I used the stamp set "Beautiful You" by Verve' I love Julee's sentiments they are so heartfelt.

For my project I used 2 of my favorite stamp sets from Verve..

"Up, Up and Away"

"Dad's Day"

This Set was made for me... Well I like to think it was anyway... My Dad is a Hot Air Balloon Pilot and we grew up Ballooning... For his Birthday this year I am making him a few projects to reflect on the memories I had growing up Ballooning with him... The "Dad's Day" stamp set is a great companion to the "Up, Up and Away" set, both reflect him perfectly. The thing I have really enjoyed about Julee's "Verve stamps" is the emotion that they Invoke. The Sentiments and Images are so amazing. You can really share what is in your heart with the card or project you give to others.

Part of the challenge is to use 3-D objects you already have around the house, then bring new life to them..

Here are 2 things that I found and recycled them into something new.

"Time" for a little redo.. I have had this clock for years and not quite had the right place for it.. It didn't really match my decor.. I think it was waiting for a re-do from the day I got it.. I think this little Balloon re-do is perfect...

For this project I used Liquid Etch.

I also re-did this glass soap dispenser I had.. It's first life was very feminine. With a little re-do, it is a masculine soap dispenser know.. If you know anything about Ballooning you know that we use TONS of rope.. You have tons in the Balloon so you can through it over for the chase crew to grab on and help pull you down. And we have even more in the trailer and garage at home.

What better way to trim this project than with rope.

This is just a little bit of the collection I am making for my DAD.. His birthday is this month and it's a big one... "70" That sounds so weird.. He couldn't possibly be that old... Where did the time go? He has been 50 for years in my mind... Guess I am the one closer to 50 than he is.. LOL.

Mojo Monday #123 BEST HUSBAND EVER!

These cards were made for my sweet heart.. Who NEVER gives me grief when I go down to my studio.. He NEVER complains when I am STILL up working on a project/post in the wee hours of the night/day.. We are just around the corner of our 19th Anniversary. I am truly the luckiest woman in the Universe. He is my everything... LOVE YOU BABE.

I really enjoyed this weeks 2 card challenge over at Mojo monday. I have made a circle card for quite a while know.. I love getting to us my circle S.U. Big shot Scallop Circle.. The colors I used for this card were inspired my Julee Tilman from Mojo Monday herself.. When I saw the colors she had used It just put a smile on my face.. I LOVE these colors together.. Thanks for a triple inspiration Julee.

Fathers Day Dad! Up, Up and Away

My Dad the Balloon Pilot...

When I way the stamp set "Up, Up and Away"(verve stamps) I had to have it! This was our life growing up. We were so blessed to travel all over the U.S and Canada for Balloon Rallies. My little sister took her first steps on a balloon trip in Oregon. We had the coolest 70's Van when we were kids.. We had a t.v., Fold out couch, built in mobil phone and a fridge.. When you are a balloonist you have to get up really early.. So we could take a little more time getting moving in the morning.
