Love Is.... Grey and Purple!

Evening all,
I hope everyone that is affected by the deadly white stuff is safe and warm and hasn't slipped about too much.
Well safe to say the shop was a little quieter today so I stole a few hours to play and decided to use the gorgeous 'Daisy' a firm favourite of mine from Sugar Nellie.

The challenge over at Passion for Promarkers really got me thinking 'Use Grey and Purple' so I tried my hand at another Black and White image. I remember many moons ago seeing a tutorial on colouring just with shades of grey and it taught me alot unfortunately I cannot remember whether it was the very talented Denise or the equally talented Deb from the PFP Design Team, but thank you anyway to both ladies as you have always inspired me.
I chose to team my design with an old Basic Grey DP 'Wisteria' which I love and edged everything with Pumice Stone DI and Diamond Stickles.
Both of the beautiful dies are from Marianne D and the lovely little sentiment is from Magnolia. The flowers, pearls and charm came from my stash.

Morning all, see it slipped already no post since last Monday!! sorry.
Been a pretty bad weekend sadly I lost my nan on Saturday after a very short spell in hospital, but at least she is at peace now and not in any pain.
Didn't get round to doing much this weekend so I thought I would post this card that I made in one of my workshops the other week but never got round to posting.
The theme was 'Shaker cards', so I decided to combine this with an easel design and used beadazzles to fill the shaker.

'Princess Tilda' is one of my very favourite Tilda's as she is just so pretty and lovely to colour.

Frosty Santa's Little Helper

Well good morning all,
I'm back!! still living in a world of chaos but I couldn't stay away any longer. So without further ado here is a little wintery design to get me started. I have decided this year to try and make at least some of my Christmas cards throughout the year (it will be a first!) so here goes.
I have used the gorgeous 'Santa's Little Helper' from Magnolia and coloured her in a sort of vintage frosty style with my Promarkers. Lots of layers of lovely coredinations card edged in pumice distress ink and teamed with the beautiful Ella Blue Dp's from GCD.

The snowflakes are Cuttlebug and the stunning metal brad is from Dovecraft. I recycled the ribbon from a pack of socks (how very green or tight of me, you choose). The dots are opal liquid pearls and stardust stickles. I am entering this in the following challenges:

Just Magnolia - Week 91 'Going Dotty'
Stamp Something - 'Winter Somethings'
Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 65 'As You Like It'

Artistic or Wonky! shot to give you some idea of the dimension hmmm!

ProMarker Colour Recipe:

Skin: Blush, Dusky Pink
Hair: Sandstone, Cinnamon
Hat and Dress: Pastel Blue
Apron: Ivory, Vanilla
Socks: Ivory, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Cocoa

I would also just like to say a huge thank you for all your kind words whilst I was going through my little crisis.

H is for Holidays (Christmas)

Good morning to all in the land of blog.
Well it's time for another challenge over at ABC and we're up to the letter H already, and this time H is for Holidays (Christmas).  We are also very lucky to be sponsered by the fabulous Lili of the Valley.
I thought it was about time I made a start on my Christmas cards so this was the perfect challenge to get me in the Christmas mood.
I dug out my gorgeous Snow Juggler stamp from Sugar Nellie and got him inky. I used some Papermania DP's from last year I think they were called 'Home for Christmas' but don't quote me on that! The ticket stamp is from Magnolia and the felt snowflakes were also from Papermania. As always I used my trusty ProMarkers to colour and distressed everything using Antique Linen Distress Ink. Finally I added a touch of Stardust Stickles to make the snowballs sparkle

Hope to see you over at ABC and remember have fun!

I am entering this into the following challenges:
A Crafty Little Place - #64 'Red, White and Green'
A Spoonfull of Sugar - #129 'Snow/Snowflakes'
Paper Sundaes - #43 'Let it Snow'

Robin Hood - 'One for the Boys'

Good Evening all,
Hope every one of you had a good weekend. I had a wonderful birthday and received loads of gorgeous handmade cards which I am very grateful for, they will definately stay on display for a long time.
Anyway thought I 'd share with you my latest Magnolia card. I love this image of Edwin dressed as Robin Hood and I couldn't wait to ink him up so here is the result. I kept the card kinda simple as obviously flowers weren't really suitable so I opted for some ferns, raffia and pearls. I also used the new Tim Holtz alphabet Sizzlits die to add the 'wanted' sign. Inside the card reads 'A Special Birthday for a Special Boy'. I am entering him in the following challenges:
Magnolia Down Under Challenge #57 - Birthdays

Y is for... You & Me DT card

Morning everyone, well today is rather exciting as I am joining the
ABC Challenge DT for there next few challenges and today the challenge is 'Y is for.... You and Me'. You need to create a card or project with two images or two characters on it eg. a wedding or anniversary card etc. The sponsor for this fortnights challenge is the fab Wild Orchid Crafts

I have created this wedding card using the gorgeous 'Loving Couple' stamp from Magnolia and created a background scene using the 'Rose Arch' which I masked and then overstamped with the 'Butterfly Background' to create depth. I originally made this as a standard square card but decided it needed a little more, so I turned it into an easel card and added more paper a beautiful sentiment 'Wishing two people one wonderful life' from Magnolia and some roses which I spritzed with 'Cranberry Zing' Glimmer Mist. I also added loads of stickles to the roses some lace, organza ribbon and a little metal heart charm to finish.

Anyway I hope you liked my first DT card and I'd just like to say a huge thank you to the lovely Vicky from ABC for inviting me to join the team.

Showgirl!!

Hey folks,
hope you're all feeling good.Wow what a long week. I am working about 80 hours a week at the mo trying to get my web shop up and running (fingers crossed it won't take much longer). Before I get started I'd just like to wish Maria a speedy recovery and hope to see her up on her feet again very soon, take care hun.
Anyway I fancied a bit of a change so I thought I 'd use an image that was given to me a while ago but until now I hadn't got round to colouring. This is the super fun and sassy Suzette from the fabulous Kraftin Kimmie. I wanted a real sexy showgirl look so went for black feathers, lacing, bling and plenty of hot pink.

This girlie is being entered in the following challenges:

Dexter in a Flying Helmet......

Good Evening, I hope everyone is enjoying the same weather we are, we have had glorious sunshine for 3 days now and it's been wonderful.
Anyway back to crafting. I have been meaning to use this gorgeous stamp from Penny Black for ages as the little spaniel reminds me of my very own Dexter so finally here is my creation. I used the great sketch by Caz over on Cute Card Thursday's Challenge blog which was really fun to use. However, due to the size of the image I had to create another 8x8 card.
These boy's fit into quite a few challenges this week so they will be entered in the following:

Fairy Dust

Good morning,
Just wanted to show you all my latest creation. I had an enormous amount of fun playing with these new stamps from Pergamano. There are 2 new collections of fairies and they are both adorable. A s usual I coloured this little fairy with ProMarkers and then seriously went to town with the Glimmer Mist (Irridescent Gold) and Stickles. I cracked open my new delivery of Basic Grey papers and I have totally fallen in love with the Capella collection, it has a real vintage textile look to it.
This card also gave me an excuse (not that I need one) to use the super sweet toadstool stamps from Hero Arts.
Well I'd better get back to work so bye for now and happy crafting!

Tilda with Ladybird

Good morning everyone,
I hope you all had a great weekend. I had a lovely day yesterday crafting and playing with my latest delivery of Magnolia stamps.
Anyway, I popped over to the 'I Love Promarkers' Challenge blog to see what they were up to as their DT are a very talented group of ladies. Their challenge this week is 'Wings' so I thought I'd show them some support and create something for their challenge. So I decided to use 'Tilda with Ladybird' who is sooo cute and a real joy to colour. I teamed her with gorgeous papers from the BG Porcelain collection and some scrummy flowers.
Hope you like her

In The Kitchen.....

Finally here they are....
Sorry it has taken a little while to get thse cards posted but as most of you know I was away for the bank holiday so didn't have much access to a computer.
Anyway these are the other cards that I created for my Magnolia workshop. I know that some of you didn't quite get finished so I have put a colour recipe at the bottom of this post.
I had great fun creating these scenes and I hope that everyone that came to class enjoyed making them just as much.

Good evening everyone,
just thought I'd fit in a quick post as I am staying with family and don't want to appear too anti social. Anyway here is one of the cards that I've made for my class. I just couldn't wait to use the gorgeous papers from the new GCD Studio collection 'Ella Blue' so here are the cards I created.

Tilda on Acetate

Here comes the sun....du du du du!
Well keep your fingers crossed anyway. The sky looks really grey at the moment. Call me paranoid but I feel the clouds are waiting for me to shut the shop and start walking home before they decide to burst.
Anyway I wanted to get another card posted before the weekend as I will be away and unable to post for a few days.

As many of you know I have my own shop and I teach classes weekly. Well I was asked if I could run a class incorporating Acetate and Shrink Plastic. I really wanted to make something a little funky as I do tend to lean quite heavily towards the distressed style when creating. So, I had a think and came up with this acetate creation. If you look closely you'll also see that I did dig out my shrink plastic to create the little glittery butterfly. Really enjoyed playing around with the acetate as I hadn't used it for ages, a simple design but fun to make.

Sweet Tilda

Good morning! Hope everyone has recovered from their 'chocolate fest' and had a fab Easter break. Just a quick post before I disappear for a long weekend. Off to Bristol for a wedding this weekend so I won't be posting anything for a few days (I won't be crafting either sniff, sniff!). Anyway just finished this card using one of my all time favourite Tilda's, 'Sweet Tilda'. Just think she's adorable. I think the sketch was from Just Magnolia a month or so ago it was really fun to use. Sorry but the colours did not come out very well in the photo due to the time of day it was taken. As soon as I can I will replace the picture, but for now she'll have to do. I used the gorgeous BG Sultry papers which go so well with anything, and of course flowers, this time from Petaloo.

Altered Anya Challenge

Phew!! This was all a bit last minute. Just managed to get this card finished in time to enter it into the Quixotic Challenge. Am full of cold so not working as quickly as normal but still really enjoyed creating this one. The challenge was to alter a Greetings Farm character - Anya or friends. I chose to use 80's Anya but I masked her face off before stamping and then used a light box to draw in the features from Dahlia. Thought she need funky colours so I used the Papermania Spring Burst pack of DP's.

I am entering this card into the following challenge:

Season of Friendship

Wow what a weekend, it almost felt like we may get a Summer after all. I managed to spend most of Sunday in the conservatory crafting.

Well I thought I'd try my hand at the Challenge over on Passion for Promarkers. This week it was a great sketch and your choice of Promarker colours. I hadn't got round to actually using my Autumn collection from Whiff of Joy so I thought it about time.

Sorry the sun was a bit bright so the photo isn't the best but here it is:
