Christmas Meeces

Good morning to you all

Wow is it blowy and wet outside.  A perfect day to clear the ironing, put up the new pelmet in the Nursery and then get into some crafting.  Here is a card that I made for my Etsy shop, using those cute House Mouses.

This is a 6" scalloped card blank

I started with the gold base and added some LOTV papers, before adding a circle layer and then the image which is printed from the House Mouse CD Rom.  I added a sentiment from Wild Rose Studio and finished off with the green triple double bow, a gold bell and a fancy button.  Those other touches the gold tonic pearl drops.

The image is so cute.

I have made the difficult decision at this time to leave the House Mouse Design Team, to spend more time with my new family member Joshua, I am going to enjoy my time with him.  So for this card I am going to join in with the team for their current challenge which is

HMFMC #252 Anything Goes OR Fall/Autumn Colors - I went with the anything goes option.

Do hop over and join in with your House Mouse Creations.

I thank everyone for all of their lovely comments and I will be back again soon and thank you for taking the time to view my blog, my items are now for sale on my etsy shop

Thankyou with House Mouse

Good morning to you all in the land of blog

Firstly an apology for the lack of commenting, but wanted to thank you all for yours.  Life is just a tad hectic and unsettled at the moment but I am sure this will resolve itself as it normally does.

Today I wanted to show you a card I made with one of my new images, I loved colouring this one and adding the sparkles to the sprinkling water.

I went for one of my grand circle half cards as the image spoke for itself, could not resist buying this image as it is so sweet.
The base layer is a deep pink with some Bloomsbury papers on top.  Marianne dies added at the side and in the main Wild Orchid Crafts roses air brushed from the base cream/white.

Here are the close ups
The image is Summer Shower from Simon Says Stamp, presented on a new fancy nestie oval, with a little glitter for the shower.
I would like to thank all of my wonderful visitors who take the time to leave me such inspirational and kind comments, and this then allows me to hop on over and visit you in return.

I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges

Screaming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! with excitement................

Good evening to you all in the land of blog

Why am I screaming you ask???????????????

Well last night I received a fabulous e mail from America asking me if I would like a lifetime commitment with a fabulous family team, using some awesome images that I just happen to be totally addicted too............... okay I think you got it but if you have not - I have been chosen to be a DT member for

along with these other fabulously talented ladies

Now I don't suppose I have to tell you how long it took me to respond to the mail, wished I could have stayed at home instead of going to work today, to wait for the reply to mine.

It is so rude to type in capitals in an e mail, but think I was ever so rude in the reply and found how to use so many punctuation marks along the way, but it just had to be done

so in my new DT position, please don't forget the current challenge of "New" on the challenge site, you have three more days and cannot wait to start hopping all over the place to see your lovely work soon.

Now as always I would like to thank all my wonderful visitors for their lovely inspirationally kind comments, which allows me to hop on back over to visit them in return.

Would like to remind you that my 700 follower candy is now running here

Think that is about it......................... off to eat some chocolates to celebrate
Hugs and Enjoy the rest of your evening, I know I will

New...................Baby Girl

Good afternoon to you all in the land of blog
Happy New Year to you all, Hope you had a great time

I know I did, so after clearing the decks of Christmas Trimmings and giving the house a quick spring clean, and now getting to grips with the accumulated wash loads of which the ironing pile will be back to it's normal size, but whilst waiting for the wash loads to go through I just had to play in my Beach Hut.

Today I opted to play with one of my favourite little critter images from House Mouse, and here is my creation
I made a Baby Girl card.

Base layer and contrast here is a light purple with Prima papers to compliment.  The flowers are all airbrushed in G83 and were originally white and from Wild Orchid.  The pearls are from the Hobby House, the ribbon is Papermania Capsule Collection Heather from a local store.  The tag has been airbrushed along with the image plate. The sentiment on the image plate is My Sentiments Exactly. The little charm from my stash.

Here are some close ups
The image coloured in Copics and just a snippet of the little cross charm.

The flowers

The little tag with some pins given to me by a local crafting buddy Sam (thank you hun)

I would like to thank all my wonderful visitors for their wonderful comments, which allows me to hop over to visit you in return.

Just to mention I am going shopping on Saturday to my local craft shop, Grimsby Crafts, Lynn is having a sale so I am going to get my next candy, so sorry for the delay in this, but had so much on over the Party season.

A Travelling Little Critter

Good evening to you all in the land of blog
by have I had a bad couple of days, and not only myself, but my husband, son and the dog too.  Some sort of horrid stomach bug, just coming out of the other side of it now, but still feeling oh so weak.  Hope everyone else is all right and I apologise for the lack of commenting during the problem period.

Whilst struggling with the cramps I did manage to see that there was a new challenge on at the House Mouse Challenge, and decided to see if I had a stamp that would fit the bill, so to speak.  I looked at all of my new little critters and eventually found one that to me said travel.
The base card is a lovely pale pink and the accompanying papers are some new ones I got recently from Jill at the Hobby House, sorry unable to run up the stairs to the Beach Hut for the name of the pack, so sorry.
I have used a Marianne Creatable Die to frame the image which has been die cut from the smaller of the grand circles.  The sentiments are from MSE the sister one was in my last combination pack, which I have dutifully logged into my system within the wage packets.  The ribbon from stash and the pearls from my top up at Hobby House.  The MS heart punch has been used also.  The image is coloured with copics

I would like to say thank you to all my lovely visitors and especially those that take the time to leave such wonderful comments, they really cheer you up when you are not so well.

I would like to enter this little number into the following challenges
House Mouse and Friends - Way to Go (Travel)

Enjoy your evening all

Hiya all in the land of blog
Today I get to show you another one of my lovely winning stamps that I got from Joanne Sheen's on line shop with my winning gift voucher

This one is called Spring but has a lovely valentine themed image within the multi pack
This card was made with my new Go Kreate large dies from the Hobby House.  A perfect shape for using large on a scrapbook layout or as here folded to create a gorgeous shaped card.  The base card is white, with a pearl cappuccino  paper as a contrast and some lovely graphic 45 papers again new in at Grimsby Crafts.  The image has been coloured with copics and if you look closer the colours have been feather blended up the flowers with a white gel pen for highlights.  The sentiment is MSE and a small scallop nestie used for a perfect die and embossed shape.  The edges of the image plate and the sentiment plate has been edged with Tim Holtz tattered rose and over stamped with a lovely swirl.

I am entering this card into the following challenges

Sunglasses Needed Again - For this Card Handbag

Hello crafting buddies in blogland
Yes you might need your sunglasses on again to view this, and I have decided to put my sunglasses away after this as the weather in the UK does not require them.

You know my poor garden must be thinking I do not care, when I actually do, but just cannot get out to do anything.  It is so cold at the minute and has done nothing but rain hard all day.

My DH Matt went fishing this morning - only just got back, he did not come last but is very damp - to say the least.

I suppose I was lucky this morning, I picked up my two parcels and headed off to the post office, in a what you might call a pretty PINK car.  (My car is purple, so where does the pink come from.  Well that is easy the next door neighbours have a blossom tree and with the lovely rain, my car is covered in it - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)  Managed to get into the post office and out, back into the PINK car and set off for the Hobby House.  Driving along at a reasonable speed (speed limit kept to) and my car was like a wedding car, the poor drivers behind, kept getting covered in confetti as the blossom dried out and blew off my car.  Jill didn't half laugh when I told her.  I only just made it in when on the roof you could hear it throwing it down, so bad that you could hardly hear each other talk.

Anyway enough of all that lets get the sunshine bit over with so we can at least feel summery
My DH Matt, said that if I was going to make things they at least needed to be useful.  Good idea.  So having to make a holder for the last card, as most of my cards do not fit in envelopes, I decided to have a practice at making a handbag for "Our Vintage Affair Challenge" of handbags.

Glasses On Now!!!!

So here is the handbag for my last card to sit in, for Mike's girlfriend.
Glasses Off (Just a quick flash really)

Bling swirls from the Hobby House this morning, papers and flower from Running with scissors, base orange card from local superstore and the MS double loop punch for the frill around the flap.  Ribbon for bow and handle can't remember and little handbag charm from Tilly's (please see the link above for where I shop).

So now off to produce a handbag to store a birthday present mug in.  Got some delish new stash from Hobby House this morning, must go play.

Enjoy the rest of your day and thank you all for your recent lovely comments, some which really made me smile.

Chow for now

House Mouse meets copics Baby Boy Unusual Arrival Card

hello again

Yesterday tea time I answered our house phone to our dear friend Chris, nothing unusual there you may think, until he said that "she was in"  I asked if she had gone on her own and the silly fool said "no I drove her there."  I had meant had she gone into labour naturally, he had already lost the plot by then.  Channie had been in hospital most of the day, he said "he had come home to tidy up."  Two hours later, he called again and ........................

Owen Tony had arrived weighing 5lb 8oz and 4 weeks early.

Hence had to push myself into the craft room as soon as I came home this evening to create something special for a lovely family.  I bet Kyle cannot wait to see his new little brother.

Congratulations to the young family ..............

Today whilst in one of those meetings that you have done everything you need to do, and have nothing left to do but cannot leave.  I checked my phones that were on silent and had missed a call on my personal mobile.  However, the kind person had left me a text message.  The message informed me that I had been picked as the winner of the lovely prize on Simon Says Stamp - The Shabby Chic Challenge.  My instant response was "never" of which the reply was "laughs yep", unable to get a signal for sometime, really did not believe it.  But knew the person would not wind me up.

Don't you just hate it when you cannot go mobile blogging..........................and that you can't get home from work quick enough to check it out.

Don't you also hate it when you forget to turn off your phone at the right times and have to whisper down the phone (no that was not me.................) but whilst trying to call the person concerned to tell her I had actually seen it - she whispers really well.  I would assume she has done that many times and bet she went bright red as everyone looked at her :)))    well I was so excited to call her and apologise for not answering her calls, you can't blame me......................

Any way before I bore you all here is the little creation for Owen Tony and his new family.  No challenges on this one as wanted it to come from the heart.....................

The card

As promised
Copics used are E50,E51,E53,E43,BG10,B00,BV000,B23 and C1
Image is House Mouse "Baby Shoes"
Papers are DCWV the Luxury Stack
Pearls and gorgeous brads (not adapted with copics on this occasion) from the Hobby House.

The floral bit

The close up of the copic coloured house mouse image - wow (this was one of my treats from the shopping spree in Tilly's........

Well my husband Matt, was searching for sentiments for this card and found this lovely poem, there were several crafty offerings on this site verses4cards  this one imparticular caught my eye, I will leave you contemplating this one whilst I go searching on Simon Says Stamps to spend my winning voucher. Hugs Kate xx

She learned to stamp on Monday
her embossing was quite fine.
She forgot to set out dinner....
so away out we went to dine.

She brayered backgrounds Tuesday
she says they are a must....
they really are quite lovely
but there was no time to dust.

On Wednesday it was birthday cards
she claims that chalking's fun
shading, blending and water-colouring
but the laundry wasn't done.

Her card swap was on Thursday
she had to use green, blue and red,
it was obvious she was really engrossed
when she failed to make the bed.

It was Shaker cards on Friday
using techniques that she just adores,
what a pity she then failed to notice
the crumbs dropped all over the floors.

I found a maid on Saturday!
My week is now complete
my wife can stamp her hours away
and the house will still be neat.

Well, already it is Sunday
and my forehead's feeling damp
cos I've cursed, and raved and ranted
for the Maid has learned to stamp!!

I loved it hope you did..........................................................

"Chocolate Decadence" Happy Hoppers meets copics Birthday Card

Good evening everyone

(ooooooooooooooooooo can order some more stamps tonight on my savings for not smoking for the week, little mouses/rabbits here I come...........)

Isn't it nice that it is the end of the week again, and we get the weekend off work, so more time to be creative.  I created this little number yesterday, but my eyes got a little tired and I did not wish to spoil the introduction to you all, of my second new stamp.  This is "Hop-it" isn't he gorgeous. Well I suppose not if you consider he is stuffing his face, which is exactly what I feel like doing at the moment.  Unfortunately I do not have any chocolate left from xmas so my luck is out for now..................................

I am entering this card into several challenges - obviously I think he warrants it and he is very special.  Or she? do you think I am being sexist.......................... ok he/she or the rabbit...

Colour Create Challenge 36 - Kraft, Blue and White - A tough one and the extra is texture, I did embossing.

I used papermania paper for the beige script element of the colours required. The white I embossed using the cuttlebug to pick up the texture requirement.  The blue is the base and through out running colour.  The flowers from Hobby Craft and the bling and pearls ascending in size from the Hobby House.

So here it is

A close up of the floral arrangement again.........................

and the ever necessary close up of the coloured image, picking up the colours from the card, again this is on the new paper.  I am doing that persevering thing and think I am getting there, however still do prefer my board. I have to say I am still addicted to copics....

Well I am off to have more fun in the "Beach Hut", but before I go I would like to say hello and welcome, to my little blog world, to my two new followers.

chow for now

"Egg-Cellent Shot" House Mouse meets copics Easter Card

Hi again

Drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmm rollllllllllllllll pls .............................................................   .................................................................................................. ta da da dar!!

Mr Postie delivered me very quickly, which arrived yesterday, two of the most gorgeous stamps ever. I have totally fallen in love with the little critters after seeing them used by Joey.  These stamps are
by House Mouse ©Stampabilities®  ©2009 House-Mouse Designs, Inc. and this particular stamp is called House Mouse "Egg-Cellent Shot" what a fab title but wait till you see the image. The other one will follow in another post, but it is made by the same people.

I am entering (oh go on scroll down, if you must!! - you can always come back to this point).  As I was saying then, I am entering this card into the

The papers I have used I do not know where I got them from, but I love the whole stack, removed the plastic and lost the label.  I have rotated the sketch and added a flower plus the other bits, as it looked a little bare without it.

So here it is........................................... and meet my new friends on this stamp, Muzzy & Maxwell.

here is the close up of the floral bit

and as always the close up of the copic coloured image using the new paper which I have to say although it is not my favourite I am getting on better with.

So after all that build up........................................what do you think.  Look at those cute little critters and hey don't you just remember those sugar coated chocolate eggs......................... Must play this game with Matt at Easter, although do not think I will be that good a shot...............

Next one to follow tomorrow, so see you back here then

thanks for looking, hope I did not disappoint and thank you all for those lovely comments recently..
