Hydrangea

The theme for the new challenge starting today at Crafty Cardmakers is shabby chic or distressed.
I matted and layered paper from an old Joanna Sheen paper pad (Lace 03) onto cream pearlescent card and white card. All other pieces were printed using Debbi Moore's Shabby Chic Victorian Botanical CD ROM, cut out and attached to the card.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
   My Crafting Stories - summer
   Inky Impressions - summertime
   Crafty Boots - summertime
Paper Creator's Crafts - all about flowers
   Penny's Paper-Crafty - anything goes
One Stitch At a Time - anything goes with flowers

For a gardener

I made this for a gentleman who is a keen gardener and is celebrating his 70th birthday.
The backing paper and toppers, which are matted onto core'dinations cardstock, are from Debbi Moore's Shabby Chic Garden Bookazine and the die cut sentiment is made using a Tattered Lace vertical sentiment die.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
   Creative Inspirations - anything goes
Craft Your Passion - anything goes
Scrapping 4 Fun - anything goes
   Inspiration Destination - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - happy birthday

Loving you

As a break from stamping I have used the Valentine Bears CD ROM from Debbi Moore Designs to create this twisted easel card.
For the base of the card I matted the printed paper onto brown core'dinations cardstock. I cut out one of the hearts from the unused paper of the sheet, selecting it so that it so that the writing on the cut out heart would correspond with the wording on the base sheet. I cut this in such a way that part of the heart was used flat on the card and the other part adhered to card and attached to the base with foam pads to form a stop for the twisted easel. I then added lots of glitter to all three hearts.
The decoupage sheet was printed onto glossy photo paper to add shine to the card. In order to keep the thickness of the card down (bearing in mind postage costs) I only used some of the printed layers. I then added more glitter to the hearts and rose.
I applied double sided tape to the lengths of the 3 mm wide ribbons and attached these to the sides of a square of brown core'dinations cardstock. This was then matted onto white card  and fixed to the lower triangle of the easel mechanism. I fixed the decoupaged image to this and added gold hearts to the side ribbons.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
   Debbi Moore Designs - love
Whoopsi Daisy - bring on the bling and sparkle
Scribbles Designs - sparkle it up
Glitter n Sparkle - bling it up
   Everybody Art - hearts
Fantastic Tuesday - make it cute or sweet
