Heartfelt Creations - Product Release Party - Floral Watering Can Card

Good morning! Well, the computer seems to be running smoother today--I don't know if it was the heat or storms that came through but it was running so slow last night and was taking forever to do anything. Today is Heartfelt Creations Product Release Party!! Heartfelt Creations has 10 NEW PreCut Stamp Sets and 2 custom Heartfelt Creations Diecuts manufactured by Spellbinders™. Click HERE to check out all of the NEW Products from Heartfelt Creations. Also be sure to check out the Heartfelt Creations Blog, the Design Team has been busy creating beautiful samples with all of the New Products. Here is the card that I created for the Product Release Party using HCPC 3306 Posy Patch Garden Delights PreCut Set and a sentiment from HCPC 3308 Agape Love PreCut Set. I started by stamping the image of the floral watering can twice onto solar white cardstock using Rich Cocoa ink. The floral watering can is from the HCPC 3306 Posy Patch Garden Delights PreCut Set.Next I started to color the watering can with Copic markers. I used two shades of gray on the watering can.Next I colored the flowers. I forgot to snap a picture of the leaves but I used G40 Dim Green, G24 Willow and G28 Ocean Green for the coloring on the leaves. Here is a picture once I had all of the coloring done. For the red center on the watering can I used R17 Lipstick Orange, R29 Lipstick Red, RV17 Deep Magenta. On the top picture I only colored the flowers to be cut out. After I had the flowers cut out then I added a little dimension to them using 3D Foam Squares from SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES By 3L™.For the background on the card front I used the Flower Silhouette Impressabilities™ I2-1015 like a stencil and inked the paper with a sponge dauber and Rose Bud ink. Here is a close-up of the stenciling. Here is a close-up of the floral watering can. I used the Classic Squares Small S4-128 die #7 die template to make the diecut. Here is a close-up of the sentiment from the HCPC 3308 Agape Love PreCut Set. I stamped the sentiment with Rich Cocoa ink onto solar white cardstock and used Labels Five S4-229 die #4 die template to make the diecut. Then I stenciled through the die template with Rose Bud ink. I layered the label onto a tag diecut that was made using Fancy Tags S4-235 die template. I also added some pink ribbon and rhinestones.Supplies~

Heartfelt Creations - Vintage Wildflowers - Spellbinders - My Mind's Eye & Glimmer Mist

Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and that you were able to enjoy your time with family/friends. Today I have a layout to share with you.Now I am not a traditional scrapbooker so I don't claim to know all the rules to scrapbooking. I have always considered myself a card maker, but I have been designing scrapbook layouts for different companies for the past couple of years. I want to show you with this layout that even if you only have a small picture you can still make a great presentation with it on a layout. By adding a wider black mat behind the photo it really showcases it and makes it appear larger. I also added a flourish and some pearls. I knew before I started on the layout that I wanted to have a cascade of flowers on one side. For the flower images I used Vintage Wildflower PreCut 1 and Vintage Wildflower PreCut 2 stamp sets from Heartfelt Creations. The Wildflower stamp sets coordinate with the Peony S4-193 die templates from Spellbinders™. I also used Leafy Swirls PreCut stamp set for all of the leaves. I stamped several flower images in all of the different sizes and the leaves with brown ink and then I colored them in with Copic markers. Here is a picture of the largest flower with the first color of pink. In this picture you can see where I came in with a darker pink and added some shading. After I had all of the coloring done I lightly misted the images with Tattered Rose Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels and then I cut each of the floral images out using the Peony S4-193 die templates from Spellbinders™. Then I shaped each of the flowers and layered them together. For the large circle background piece I stamped the leaf image three times going slightly off the paper because I wanted my leaves to go off of the paper. Here is a little tip, if you are going to be doing a layout where you have several layers and you are also stamping and need to figure out the perfect placement of the stamps lay your other pieces on top so you can get a visual of where to stamp. After I stamped the leaves then I misted the circle cutout with Timeless Lilac, Honey Dew Mist and Caribbean Blue Glimmer Mists from Tattered Angels. Next was the background paper, here is a before look at the paper. The paper is from My Mind's Eye and it is from the new Lush Line, Black Damask. This paper is Gorgeous on it's own and the damask pattern is a velvety flock. It's not only beautiful to look at but it also has a great texture. I love paper with black and white it allows you to add color if you like. I added color to the paper with Glimmer Mist. I used all of the colors listed below in the supply list. Here you can see all of the beautiful colors in the background paper and you can also see them on the larger picture of the finished layout. Adding the color really changes the look of the paper. Over the years with teaching classes I have heard so many people say, wow I would never think to change anything with my pattern paper. I say don't be afraid to change it up! Once I had all of the pieces colored and cut out then I started to assemble the layout. Here is a close up of the flower cascade. For the title I used the printer and then cut out the words making word blocks. I misted them with Honey Dew Mist Glimmer Mist, distressed the edges and then added the blue rhinestones from My Mind's Eye.Along the bottom I added some green trim from Webster's Pages and some black vintage buttons. Here's a couple more close-up pictures of the flowers. I love all the added dimension for the flowers! I know a layout like this might be just a wee bit too think to put into an album but I like to create layouts like this and frame them for some beautiful wall art.
