And I began my search for guest posts and blogs to feature

Next week I'm hoping to upload at least a few items to my Etsy shop, but I won't neglect you :) I'm working on a second part to the Best Mobile Apps for Bloggers post and I'm hoping to show you the tutu skirt that will make any 5 year old girl the happiest girl on the planet. And let's not forget about the features from our Pinterest Group Board (if you haven't already, start pinning with us!).

Have a Great Week!

Ultimate Blog Challenge Day 31!!!

I'm taking a look at the blog archive, here on my right sidebar and I'm amazed. 30 posts in July. 31 including this one. I did it {breathing a sigh of relief}. I am officially out of my mind. I sat (almost) every night until 2 am to write posts (and take care of the kids and work, but that's the usual), which means everything's possible.

What a crazy month! But also so satisfying.

I broke my pageviews record, I have more than 500 likes on my Facebook page (I knowit doesn't seem that much to many of you, but for me it was a big deal), I "met" lots of other bloggers (and their great blogs) and I even got my first bloggy award (thanks again Madisson :) )

But honestly, without even a pinch of sarcasm, the best thing about this month was to know that it is possible. I don't have to stare blankly at the TV every evening! If I clearly define my aim, I can focus on it and achieve it.

So I'm focusing again, only this time the aim is different.

New goal: Start selling on my Etsy stop that I opened a long time ago (and never listed anything on it...). So let's meet here again on August 30th, same time, so see if I achieved it as well :)

Ultimate Blog Challenge Week in Review

This has been the toughest week so far, I was a post behind most of the time (and even 2 posts behind on one day!), but I'm still here, and I can really see the end (only one more week to go!).

So here's a recap of the last week.

DIY Yarn Lampshade
On Tuesday I showed you the DIY yarn lampshade I made

Papier Mache Chicken
Then I showed you my talented readers (remember our Pinterest group board?)

Link party tracker
Then we talked about link parties and how to track them (download your tracker here)

Cereal Box Turned Magazine Holder Tutorial
Then I showed you how to turn a simple cereal box into a fancy magazine holder

Lemonade Stand
On Saturday I showed you our improvised lemonade stand

Chinglish
And for the finale we had the funniest post ever. A Chinglish post.

Next week I'll show you some of the items that I'm going to sell on my new Etsy shop, we'll have a pacifier clip tutorial, summer activity for the kids and of course - our giveaway winner ( only 2 more days to go, hurry up!).

Ultimate Blog Challenge Week in Review

Really? It's been a week already? I survived a whole week? Didn't think I would last more than three days, but here I am,  one week later, still posting!
Last week has been interesting for me - I found out I CAN write a post a day (but went to bed around 2 am every night...), I gained more traffic and some new bloggy friends, discovered new cool blogs and still managed to do all the things I usually do - work, kids and house (I even managed to continue the book I'm reading)...

So a post a day. Let's take a look at what we had here.

Ultimate Blog Challenge
Day 1, or why am I doing this to myself?

Day 2, I thought it was time to tell you a bit about myself

And what's for next week? A trip to Haifa, another peek at our Pinterest Group Board, fabric covered binder tutorial, blog planner and A GIVEAWAY!

If you're not a follower, now would be a good time to start:) (on the top left side of the screen you'll find buttons to all of The Crafeteria's social media).

Ultimate Blog Challenge Day 1 or How I Will Lose My Mind

What will a nice girl from a good home, trying to raise three kids (ages 1-7), do on summer vacation if during the day she's busy with laundry/dishes/puzzles-Playmobil-Lego-reading books/cooking over and over again, if in the evening she works at her computer with bleary eyes and if at night she wakes up at least once to swing the baby/hug a scared little girl/explain the 7-year-old that you cannot play on the computer at 04:50 am?

Why, of course! She'll take on another task and sign up happily to the Ultimate Blog Challenge. What is it, you ask? Well, it's a special online bloggers event, held every quarter, in which the participants commit to write and publish a new post every day for one month. Why? To help themselves develop a writing routine, to help boost blog traffic (social media plays a big part on UBC - the bloggers share their posts on a Facebook group and under a certain #hushtag on Twitter then comment on two other blogs daily) and mainly to prove themselves that they can :). George Mallory had put it better - "because it's there!".
So I'm in and you can too, it's not too late! Just click here to go to the website, sign up and start writing. If you actually did it, comment here with your blog url, I promise to follow you and encourage you every step of the way!
My plan for this month - tutorials, show-offs, kids activities and a fun giveaway. Unfortunately, although I racked my brain trying to build an interesting schedule for this month, I'm still a few posts short, so if you have any idea, I'd love to hear it!
And of course, don't forget our Pinterest group board - you can see it here on the blog if you just scroll down - you can pin your DIY's, crafts, recipes etc. On Wednesday I'll feature some of them here.
To join the board, you need to:
1. Follow me on Pinterest
2. Leave a comment, here or on any of my Pinterest pins, with your Pinterest user name.
3. I'll follow you back
4. I'll send you an invite
5. You accept the invite
6. Start pinning!

OK, Ultimate Blog Challenge, here I come!
