Creative Healing Challenge - {Teach Me Your Paths}

Psalm25:4
Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths;

That was written by a man after God's own heart, David. He fell just like each and everyone of us do, but he genuinely sought after God's ways and heart. In many circumstances in life there is more than one way to choose to go, God can teach us the best way if we ask.

1 Corinthians 2:10-12
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us......

Creative Healing Challenge - {Anxious for Nothing}

There is a lot of stuff we could become Anxious about these days, but God says "no give all your things you are concerned about to me, praying always with thanksgiving and the peace that surpasses all (human) understanding with guard your heart in Christ Jesus."

God did not make our bodies to be able to withstand the effects of worry....He more importantly doesn't ask us to, in fact he instructs us to give them to Him and depend on him to take those burdens. Take refuge in him, rest in him, trust in him, and the hardest part wait in him...at least that is the hardest for me. I will give him my stuff for a while and be in his rest and not long after, I take it back and I am worrying again, my body starts falling apart, but there is hope... for God gives me and you a new day everyday to give those worries back to Him and he teaches us everyday how to keep those things with Him and not take them back.

This months Challenge is to make a layout from the perspective that works from where you are in your life, in regards to worry and anxiousness. Are you still in a cycle like me or have you finally reached the place where you live in that peace...maybe share how you got there as a testimony to others.

Blessings,
Karla (Lifesong Kreations)

Creative Healing Challenge - {Set Free}

:flower:Wow its July already and this week it doesn't even feel like summer where we live, but it sure beats the scorching hot weather so I am certainly thankful. For July we are going to focus on how Christ has set us free. It can be your testimony of when you were saved or an everyday testimony of how Christ continually frees you from bondage the things that try to keep you captive.

Here are some scriptures to inspire you.

I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.
Psalm 119:45

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
2 Corinthians 3:17

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Galatians 5:1

You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature ; rather, serve one another in love.
Galatians 5:13

But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does.
James 1:25

Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.
1 Peter 2:16

:flower:I challenge you to also use this color swatch

-When you are done with your layout place in the gallery here

-Notify me, Karla, by adding a link to your layout in this forum.

Here is my layout that I made using one of the quickpages that were created with my Set Free kit. The journaling reads:
God before you, I never felt I belonged. I was always looking to be excepted and loved in all the wrong places. I was held captive by my sinful nature and trying to find acceptance in ways that only brought hurt. I was raised in a Christian family, but I always thought I had to get my life straight first.

One day you reached out to me and revealed that you loved me despite how I fell short. Not only that, but you sent your son who died to set it all straight and that if I accept that he died for me. I would not only belong, but would be co-heirs with Christ as your child. This means freedom from doing things the way the world does, as it doesn't and didn't work. It also means I get to live eternally with you, my creator and loving Father.

I continue to live in freedom, but only as long as I give the authority in my life to you. Your Holy Spirit guides and shapes me into living holy, righteous, and obedient to your word. I pray that I am a light to others so they will want your freedom too.

Creative Healing Challenge - {Reflecting Christ}

Do people see Jesus in you? Do you see Jesus in your family? Maybe it's your goal to become more and more like Christ or it's your prayer for your children. When we reflect Jesus, the true message of His ministry shines bright and plants seeds in others and may lead them to saving grace.

Here are some verses God led me to:

Matthew 5:16 (KJV)
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Philippians 2:14-16 (KJV)
Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain.

1 Thessalonians 5:5 (KJV)
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Acts 13:47 (NLT)
For the Lord gave us this command when he said,

‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles,
to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.

Here are the instructions:
1. Make a layout using at least a couple colors from the following swatch.

2. Post it at the gallery

3. Come back here with a link to your gallery

4. Give me a week to send you this bonus before inquiring

Look forward to seeing what you do.

Creative Healing Challenge - {Mourning to JOY!}

This month, I felt led to choose to remember those we have lost and to find the joy and comfort that God promises us. The following are verses that can help you create a project that reflects your feelings and thoughts.

Blessings,

Karla - Lifesong Kreations

Jeremiah 31:13 NIV
Then maidens will dance and be glad, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.

Isaiah 61 NIV

1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, [a] 2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, 3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.

Psalm 119:76 NIV
May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant.

Isaiah 49:13 NIV
Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains! For the LORD comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.

Jeremiah 8:18
O my Comforter in sorrow, my heart is faint within me.

Matthew 5:4
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

Here is a swatch of colors we are working with, you do not have to use these colors in order to participate. Paper scrappers & Digital Scrappers both welcome.
