Thoughts of Easter

Hi there! I'm so glad you stopped by. Today I have a Stamper's Dream card to share with you. The weather here is finally getting warmer, so my thoughts have turned to spring and Easter. I inked up this Egg Topiary stamp and paired it with My Mind's Eye Alphabet Soup Girl paper.

I cut and embossed the panel with one of the Labels Eighteen Nestabilities, then I sponged the edges. I wanted to keep the image soft and springy, so I watercolored it with an aquapainter and various inks. I added some Stardust Stickles here and there for a little sparkle. I embellished with some plaid ribbon, Pink Burlap String, and a pearl flourish.

We've been enjoying our spring break "staycation" so far -- we've already checked bowling and a trip to the park off our list. We're hoping to go somewhere with the girls this afternoon -- maybe the zoo!  :)

I hope you enjoy your day, whatever your plans may be! Thanks for spending some time here with me today!

Have a great day!

Clean and Simple Sunday

Good Sunday morning to you! As usual, it's been a whirlwind of activity here at the Fischer house the last few days. My kids are on spring break this week, so Kyle left yesterday for his senior trip to Siesta Key (I'm pretty sure I won't exhale until next Saturday when he returns). I'm chairing a fundraiser today to help build a new Soup Kitchen for the hungry in our area, so that took up a bit of time, too. So... my post planned for Friday was bumped to today. Why is it that I always feel two steps behind lately?

I wanted to keep things simple on this card -- maybe it will help me keep things simple in my life? Anyway, I started with a clean card base, rounded the corners, then I scored and embossed on the bottom. I inked up this Impression Obsession Dotty Heart with Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress Inks. The sentiment is from the Quiet Moments cling set by Just Rite Stampers. I finished with some Natural Burlap String tied in a twine-y bow and topped with a Webster's Pages Sparkler.

I'm off to enjoy this Sunday. The weather is going to be gorgeous, so cross your fingers for a successful fundraiser! I'll be back tomorrow for the Stamper's Dream & Friends Hop! See you then!

Have a great day!

Shabby Thanks

Happy Thursday, everyone! I have a Stamper's Dream card for you today. I'm starting to get in touch with my shabby chic side. I've been afraid of it for a while, and I didn't think I could pull it off, but I'm really starting to like it. :)  The sentiment and frame are from In the Moonlight, one of the new JustRite Stampers cling rubber sets. They coordinate with the Labels Fourteen Nestabilities, so that's what I used to cut and emboss. The paper is My Mind's Eye Lost & Found

I stamped the Impression Obsession Lg Open Dot Tag cling stamp onto the paper with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, then I cut it out and matted it. I distressed all the edges and inked them with Tea Dye Distress Ink. I embellished with some crochet trim, Ivory Burlap String, and a Prima Sahara Orchard flower.

That's all for today! Thank you SO much for visiting! :)

Have a great day!

Love Is in the Air

Happy Thursday, everyone! I'm still working on Valentines -- I still have some time, right? Love is definitely in the air with this Hedgehopper stamp from Penny Black. I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. The paper is from the Sugar Rush 6x6 pad by Basic Grey. The orange panel was cut and embossed with one of the Labels Fifteen Nestabilities.

I used a sentiment from A Loving Heart Clear Stamp Set by Impression Obsession. I embellished with red checker ribbon, red burlap string, and some heart-shaped adhesive rhinestones.

That's all for now! I hope you're having a great day -- thanks so much for stopping by!

Heart Chair

Good Tuesday morning, everyone! Today's project could be a Valentine card or just a card for someone special in your life. I used the Heart Chair cling stamp by Impression Obsession, and I paired it with some Bo Bunny Crush paper. The sentiment is from the Birthday Cardmaking Kit by JustRite Stampers. I'm always happy when the sets have versatility -- this isn't a birthday card, but the sentiment works here!

I gave the image a bit of color with some colored pencils, and I sponged around the image and sentiment with Pretty in Pink ink. The image is matted with a Spellbinders Big Scalloped Oval. I placed a rhinestone swirl behind the image oval. To make the heart charm, I colored a Maya Road Chipboard Heart with a Copic marker, then I gave it a coat of Christmas Red Stickles. It's tied on to the card with Black Checkered Ribbon and Silver Metallic String

That's all for today! I'm headed out to volunteer at school this morning, then I have lots of things to catch up on at home. Then, hopefully, I'll sneak in some stamping time! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Have a great day!

Poinsettia Tree Tag

Hello there! Happy Thursday afternoon! I had hoped to post this earlier today, but all four of my kids are home because of a snow day! We've been watching movies and drinking warm beverages, but I managed to sneak away to post this project! :)

NINE days until Christmas... how can that be? I'm having fun making tags for packages, and here's one featuring the Poinsettia Tree Cling Stamp by Impression Obsession. I stamped it with Versamark and heat embossed with Vanilla embossing powder.

The sentiment is from JustRite's Christmas Nested Frames. I framed it with a die from the new Nested Frame Custom Dies from JustRite Stampers by Spellbinders. I inked the edges of the tag and sentiment with Tea Dye Distress Ink. I topped the tag with 1.5" brown satin ribbon, Red Burlap String, and a Prima Peridot Love Letter Rose.

I hope your holiday preparations are coming along well! I have quite a bit of wrapping to do and some cookies to bake, but there is still time, right? ;)

Thanks so much for taking time to visit today! I really do appreciate it!

Have a great day!
