TTM Success - Danny Payne

He may have used a super sized Sharpie, but these cards are still signed.  I got a TTM success back from Danny Payne, and was surprised at how big his signature was on each card.  He must have used a giant marker.  I had a bunch of his 2007 Tristar Prospects Plus cards, so getting one of them signed was nice.
I also got a 2007 Donruss Elite Extra.Edition and a 2007 Bowman signed.

Payne (b. 1985) was a first round pick (64th overall) by the Padres in the 2007 June Amateur Draft out of Georgia Tech.  He played in the minors from 2007 to 2011 in the Padres system, reaching AAA.  He had 347 hits, 25 home runs and a .239 batting average.

I mailed to Payne on March 5 and got the cards back on March 25, for a 20-day TAT.

TTM Success - Scott Cousins

These two Scott Cousins cards came back looking really nice when I sent them TTM to him a few months ago.  This 2007 Donruss Elite Extra Edition turned out really well.  I like these cards, and have been able to get a few signed.
I opened very little 2011 Topps Chrome, and still only have just a few cards from that set.  This one came out of the ton of card boxes that I got from my LCS when it closed.  The card turned out great, and I am glad I was able to find it before I sent.

Cousins (b. 1985) played in the majors from 2010 to 2013 for the Marlins and Angels.  He had 32 hits, 2 home runs and a .179 batting average.

I mailed to Cousins on January 28 and got the cards back on February 16, for a 19-day TAT.

TTM Success - Daniel Moskos

I got a few cards out of my old rookies box recently with this TTM success from Daniel Moskos.  He signed the above 2007 Donruss Elite Extra Edition, which I kept seeing as I went through the box.
He also signed a 2007 Tristar Prospects Plus and a 2010 Topps Pro Debut.

Moskos (b. 1986) played in 31 games for the Pirates in 2011.  He was a first round pick (4th overall) by the Pirates in the 2007 June Amateur Draft.

I mailed to Moskos on September 1 and got the cards back on September 21, for a 20-day TAT.

TTM Success - Trystan Magnuson

I was able to get two more cards signed that were in my old "Rookies Box."  Trystan Magnuson signed two cards that I probably pulled from packs when they came out.

The above 2011 Bowman Chrome refractor really turned out well.

He also signed a 2007 Donruss Elite Extra Edition, which looks really nice, as well.

Magnuson (b. 1985) played in the majors in 2011 for the A's.  He went 0-0 with 11 strike outs and a 6.14 ERA.

I mailed to Magnuson on June 15 and got the cards back on July 21, for a 36-day TAT.

TTM Success - Jake Smolinski

A recurring theme has come up recently; I have really enjoyed getting cards out of my former "rookies box" that I used to keep up with.  I had started the box back when I got back into collecting in 2005, but it got to be a pain in keeping up with it, so once the box filled up, I left it alone.  It had come in handy, all it took was for me to find one Mike Trout rookie in there and sell it (before his prices went nuts, though).  Oh well.  Most of the guys in the box got a cup of coffee in the majors, or didn't appear at all, so the box has really become a nice tool to use to get some cards for TTMs.

I was glad to find this 2007 Donruss Elite Extra Edition Jake Smolinski in that box, so it was a nice card to be able to get signed.

I also got a 2017 Topps and 2017 Topps Gold signed.  Both turned out well.

Smolinski (b. 1989) played in the majors from 2014 to 2018 for the Rangers and A's.  He had 143 hits, 16 home runs and a .235 batting average.

I mailed to Smolinski on May 13 and got the cards back on June 23, for a 41-day TAT.

TTM Success - Andrew Brackman

I got a few more cards out of my old rookies box when I got these three cards signed by Andrew Brackman.
I had busted quite a few packs of Tristar Prospects Plus and Donruss Elite Extra Edition back when I was helping at the local card shop. I'm glad I was able to put some of those cards to use.

Brackman (b. 1985) was a former first round pick by the Yankees in the 2007 June Amateor Draft. The former NC State University star played in the majors in 2011 for the Yankees. His MLB career consisted of 3 games with no earned runs, no strike outs and no wins or losses to speak of.

I mailed to Brackman on April 25 and got the cards back on May 7, for a 12-day TAT.

Christmas Gift From Brian

I got a Christmas gift a few days ago from my little buddy, Brian.  He is a fellow North Carolinian that I met at one of my shows in Raleigh.  He and his dad are big Orioles fans, so I sent him a little something for Christmas.  I wasn't expecting a gift in return, but Brian sent me a nice PWE full of Orioles stuff.

Brian must have gotten this Zach Britton signed IP or TTM, but it looks really cool.  I liked the blue sharpie.

Brian and his dad are some really nice folks.  I like that they have kept in touch after that initial meeting at the show.  I have some stuff for them from this year's Fan Fest that I need to send along.

Thank you so much for the gifts, Brian.  I really appreciate it.
