Graphing Recap of April 2022 Mudcats at Wood Ducks

Another homestand has come and gone, this one being an eventful one between regional rivals, the Carolina Mudcats and Down East Wood Ducks.  Usually, there isn't much of a rivalry; but this series saw benches and bullpens clear twice, and a lot of chirping going on.  Luckily, no one really came to blows, and only one person was ejected (that I saw).

I was able to get a lot of cards signed, and finished off all of what I had for the Mudcats.  The above 2021 Bowman Draft chrome mojo parallel of Eduardo Garcia is one I actually pulled myself, so it was nice to get it signed.
Several of the Mudcats have cards, and the signature I liked the most was Hendry Mendez on the 2022 Bowman First Edition.  He has a cool signature, and I was glad a fellow Instagrammer sent two, so I could get one signed.  He also sent several Hedbert Perez cards, one of which is the 2021 Bowman Draft Chrome shown above.
I ordered a Jeferson Quero Ray Wave parallel from Ebay, and it turned out great, even though Quero's signature looks like a bike.
My friend, Gerard, sent an assortment of Guilder Rodriguez cards, and I got a good many of them signed.  I have a bunch left, still, but those can be gotten over the course of the next few months.
I added a 2022 Bowman First Edition of Maximo Acosta, as well as his 2021 Bowman Chrome.  I also picked up a few Jose Rodriguez 2022 Bowman First Editions off of Ebay, so I could add him to the album.
Finally, Gerard ordered a few Dylan MacLeans to be delivered to the house, and they got here in time to be added to the book to get signed.  Dylan even liked the color parallel.

I had a good time this series, even with the jawing back and forth between the two teams.  It is a long season, and I think there will still be some animosity when the Mudcats come back to town.

In all, I got the following signatures this series:  Guilder Rodriguez x 14, Jeferson Quero x 28, Eduardo Garcia x 18, Leury Tejada x 6, Dylan MacLean x 11, Hendry Mendez x 2, Hedbert Perez x 11, Arbert Cipion x 6, Maximo Acosta x 8, Jose Rodriguez x 7 and Micah Bello x 1 (112 total signatures).

Graphing Recap - 2022 Wood Ducks Meet the Team Event

Happy Opening Day!  For some folks, at least.  Tomorrow, more teams will start, along with minor leagues.  The Wood Ducks start on the road at the Mudcats, so tonight, they had their "Meet the Team" event for season ticket holders.  It was a real nice time, even though they scaled it back due to the threat of rain (it didn't rain on us).  I was hoping for some free food.

This season, Maximo Acosta is the big prospect who is on the Wood Ducks roster, and I preemptively bought some nice Bowman Chrome parallels off of Ebay with a gift card that my wife got me for Christmas or my birthday (I can't remember how long I've had it).  The above 2021 Bowman Chrome Ray Wave refractor is just an awesome-looking card.  I got it for 5 bucks, and couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
The black and white speckle parallel (top right) was another card I bought in a lot on Ebay.  The other two haven't been signed yet.
I was also able to add Dylan MacLean; he was in 2021 Topps Pro Debut and 2021 Heritage Minors.
Finally, my friend, Gerard, hooked me up with the pink chrome refractor of Guilder Rodriguez; I was also able to knock a couple Hickory team set cards out of new Wood Ducks coach, Justin Jacobs.

In all, Chris and I got 20 autographs.  This was a great way to kick off the season, and I hope they do this again.

August 14-16 Graphing of the Mudcats at Wood Ducks

My first games back after my trip to the National resulted in my getting a ton of cards signed.  I had picked up a bumch of cool cards and parallels of some players, including this 2015 Bowmans Best Phil Bickford numbered 10/25.
Bickford is a great guy, and will sign anything you have.  At the beginning of the season, I was worried because I had missed Bickford last year when he was injured, so I wasn't sure if I would get my cards signed.
Luckily, he has been with the Mudcats since I saw him on Memorial Day, and he signed everything I had by the time I saw him last.  This red parallel of his 2017 Bowman turned out really well.  This card isn't numbered.
I got so many different cards of his signed, and I also was able to get a bunch done for some friends.
Devin Williams was really cool, as well.  He limited how many cards he would sign, so I was only able to get the 2014 Bowman Ice I had found at the National signed, and also some 50/50s for my friend, Gerard.
I'm glad I got Demi Orimoloye on everything I had, because he has since been traded to the Toronto system in exchange for Curtis Granderson.
I got 4 different 2015 Bowman Chrome cards of Nathan Kirby signed.  All of these were ones I found at the National.
I had missed Bob Milacki a few times, but was able to get him on a good bit of cards during this series.  I had ordered the Toys R Us card for early in the season, but finally got it done.  Now that Toys R Us is out of business, it'll be cool to look back on this card.
I finished off the Mudcat coaches for the All Star set.  I am now only missing one of the coaches with Lynchburg because I misplaced them when Lynchburg was here.
I picked up a Mudcats team set so I could get some of the other guys in my album.
I'm not too big a fan of this design.  They would look better as football cards, I think.
However, I got a good many of them signed, and they look good in my album.
One of my favorite cards I got signed was the blue shimmer refractor of Jairo Beras.  It looks so nice signed.
I got three different Eric Jenkins 2015 Bowmans signed.  He is really nice.  I met his dad this past weekend, and he was super nice as well.
I had also picked up a couple different Spokane Indians team sets.  It was fun seeing some of the Wood Ducks players from when they were there.
A few of the players commented on the older cards, which was cool.
I liked picking up the Spokane sets, so I think I will grab some of the more recent ones for future Wood Duck graphing.
I found this black letter parallel of this 2015 Stadium Club Guilder Rodriguez in a dime box at the show.  It turned out really well, and will look great in my album with my base card Max sent me.
Finally, here is a Bowman Mega Box parallel of Leody Taveras from this year.  He refused to sign for me the first day of the series, but signed the other two games.  The card looks great, and I am glad he signed it.

July 28-29, 2018 Graphing of the Keys at Wood Ducks

Before I left for the National, I caught two Wood Ducks vs Keys games with my cousin, Andreas.  He came over from Germany on his vacation, and accompanied me to the National, then on to Boston.  Before we left, I wanted to give him a game or two at historic Grainger Stadium, which I think he enjoyed.

I was getting low on Keys stuff, since I saw them at Wood Ducks already, then another game at Mudcats.  Still, I was able to get some cool stuff signed, and into my album.  The above Guilder Rodriguez turned out really well.  It was a card from my amazing friend, Max, and he told me to keep it in exchange for one of Rodriguez's Topps base cards from 2015.  Max is the best.
I finally got hold of Alexander De La Cruz, who had been on the DL for what seemed like all season.  I got this team set card from the Ironbirds done, finally.
I got a few 50/50s done for my buddy, Gerard.  He let me keep these two Blaine Beatty cards, which I didn't have in my collection.
Finally, here are a few of the 2018 Hickory Crawdads cards that I was able to get signed.  They have to be prepped beforehand, but turned out well.

Graphing Pelicans at Wood Ducks

The latest series between the Wood Ducks and Pelicans consisted of a bunch of "Finallys".  Finally, I got Yanio Perez on the above 2017 Topps Heritage Minors.  He had been with Frisco, but had been injured.  He is back with the Wood Ducks, and I was finally able to get the first official Wood Ducks card signed.
I finally was able to get these team set cards signed.  I think I got Blake Bass early last season, but I found the above Hickory card in Chris's pile, so I got it done.  Tyler Ferguson is back with the team, so I got his Woodies team set card done.  Also, Joe Palumbo is back after being out most of last season.
I finally got Alex Lange on some cards after being shut out early in the season.  He was really nice, so I think getting shut out earlier was just because I didn't recognize him.
I finally got a couple Tyson Miller cards done that came in a 50/50 from my friend, Vince.
I had Cory Abbott pulled and put aside for when he would make it to Myrtle Beach, and was able to get everything of him done.
The Yanio Perez above was from the South Atlantic League All Star team set.  I was glad to finally get that one taken care of as well.

The 2016 Heritage with Guilder Rodriguez came from a 50/50 with Gerard that I was able to do.
This 2015 Topps Opening Day also came from the same 50/50.

I got everyone I set out to get during this series.  I should be able to finish Myrtle Beach when they come back in mid-August.
