I mailed to the signing on March 10 and got the card back on March 26, for a 16-day TAT. I think I paid $20 for the signing, but I never wrote it down.

Another TTM Success From Mike Fitzgerald
This Kevin Mitchell signed 1987 Topps was resting comfortably in my album and I saw that a Mike Fitzgerald signing was coming up. I figured it would be a good idea to add Fitzgerald to the card, and a few of the other 1987 Topps set builders thought this was an ingenious idea.

TTM Success - Kevin Mitchell
I met Kevin Mitchell at the National back in 2016 and got him to sign a ball. If I knew then what I know know, I would have also gotten him on an 87 Topps. However, I wasn't really concentrating on getting cards signed back then. I wish I had been, because I would have been able to get a few guys from the 87 set a lot easier (and cheaper). Also, I had to beg my friend, Rich, for this card, as I had no extras in my box. Thanks for the card, Rich.
I was able to get Mitchell on this card through a private signing on SCN. The questions is now, do I send it to Mike Fitzgerald and get him to sign it, too?
I mailed to the private signing on November 7 and got the card back signed on December 21, for a 44-day TAT.

National Free Signer - Kevin Mitchell
There was only one free signer at the National that I had interest in getting on a ball. I found this 1990 official All Star ball for a good price on Ebay and figured I would get Kevin Mitchell to sign it. His line was pretty long, like all of the others, but this one was worth it.
Mitchell inscribed his uniform number and 89 NL MVP on the ball. He was surprised that I wanted it on the side panel below the All Star logo, asking me a couple times "don't you want it on the Sweet Spot?" I wanted the logo to show with the auto, and it looks good, I think.
Mitchell (b. 1962) played in the majors from 1984, 1986 to 1994 and 1996 to 1998 for the Mets, Padres, Giants, Mariners, Reds, Red Sox, Indians and A's. He had 1,173 hits, 234 home runs and a .284 career average. He was an All Star in 1989 and 1990. In his 1989 MVP season, he his 47 homers with 125 RBIs and a .291 batting average. Mitchell won the World Series with the Mets in 1986. He appeared on the 2004 Hall of Fame ballot and received 0.4% of the vote.
