VOM

VOM was a Punk Rock band formed in the late 70's by rock critics Greg Turner, Mike Saunders and Richard Meltzer. From their; it would form into a full fledged Punk group. VOM is most known for being featured on some of the Killed By Death comps in the late 80's / early 90's, aswell as having distinguished members such as Michael Saunders, Greg Turner and Bonze Blayk (who'd later be in The Angry Samoans) and Richard Meltzer, who was in Smegma for an amount of time, as well as being a long running Rock critic. The name VOM is short for 'vomit', as their early live act is said by Meltzer and Turner to have included throwing various 'viscera', cow parts and food substances at the audience to provoke reaction.
