crack of dawn

On Saturday morning, we met at the crack of dawn to run the Crack Of Dawn Race down Millcreek Canyon.  Adam, my mom, and I all ran it.  It started at 6 am at the top of MillCreek, and ended on Wasatch Blvd... and ADAM WON THE ENTIRE RACE!!  He ran 5 miles in 26 minutes, 29 seconds. Who does that???
#WINNING
I took 3rd in my age group, and this is my view of my own medal.
And she ran the entire time!
*on a side note, I drove all the way to breakfast from the race with my phone on top of my car!

SO FUN!

The Jimmer Show

We went down with Britt and Bry to Provo today and met up with the twinnnners!! BYU's last home game of the season, and Jimmer's Senior Day.  We got tickets earlier in the week (thanks Dan), and we most definitely watched a great game.  Mountain West Champs!!
We ate lunch at a delicious pizza place, and I don't remember the name.
 Adam, we missed you!

  BFFS
Sadly, the student section was full so we parted ways with the twinners at the doors, and we were on our way to enjoying Cougar Tails.  Aka a 20 inch long maple bar.  Brilliant!

 So much fun!

Oh yeah, and UNC won the ACC Championship today when they beat Duke by 14 points, ya baby!

Fall.

I love fall season. Saturday, we went 4-wheelin' up in the mountains to see a beautiful overlook of the valley with many different colors.  It was absolutely beautiful, and quickly put me "fall mode".  Chunky sweaters, skinny jeans, boots, and in not too long we'll be needing our big chunky scarves too. I say yes to chunky, as long as we're talking about clothes.

Here come mom and dad.
love him.

the twins.

Also, more outfit posts coming shortly.  I'm very excited about them too!  We had a wonderfully busy weekend, and enjoyed every minute of it.  Even the moment where I put my phone on top of my car just as TT and I were heading down the canyon to meet up with some friends.  And then the part where it fell of the top of the car, and into the hands of a very nice man who called TT's phone several hours later to calm my fears, and let me know my phone was safe.  So kind of him.

Dirt On My Shoes

We went 4-wheelin' with my family this past weekend.  We found our way to Cascade Springs, and then up through some trails to get an overlook of Park City, Deer Valley, and Midway.  Sooo fun!

New York - last year

Last year my mom and I covered New York by foot.  Literally.  We sported athletic clothes by day, and dressed up at night.  We walked everywhere. Through Central Park (all of it), we went on a crazy shoe chase, that dragged us 50 blocks, ate at yummy yummy NY specialty restaurants, and talked each others ears off.  I'm jealous of my good friend, who lives in the city and can eat Magnolia's cupcakes whenever she wants, shop on 5th Ave whenever she wants, and jog the Central Park if she feels like it.  More outfit posts coming soon!

Over the Shoulder

My purple thoughts: I'm not a usually drawn to purple or to shirts like this, but I didn't pick it out!  It was a gift, and I LOVE it!  It's another top by Nikita, loving my pieces from that brand.  It was just what I needed to wear today too.  It was a long day of school, work, and tests, so as always it was nice to be comfortable.  I want more tops like this! I would love this same top in black.  Do you have any suggestions on another way I could wear this top? Perhaps to dress it up a bit?
A lovely wide, and comfortable scarf by DownEast.
What I'm wearing:
T: Shade
Top: Nikita, gifted :)
Jeans: Seven for all Mankind, Roxanne Skinnies

Confession: last week I went mall walking with my mom and last night I went to water aerobics at my gym and....LOVED IT.  It kicked my butt.  It actually kicked my arms.  Its fun because I TT's mom goes pretty frequently and so does my friend from work.  It's basically a party in the water.  Anybody else do it?

Do the Mall Walk

Have you always thought mall walking was for OLD PEOPLE? Or never heard of mall walking? Well I did it this morning! I loved it! My mom and I went super early so we could workout together, and it was seriously a great workout.  An hour of fast paced walking never felt so good (especially when you can window shop at the same time)!!  Anyway,  with the weather so chilly in Salt Lake very early in the morning, mall walking is a great solution to getting a long walk workout completed comfortably, and safely!  Anyway, I love sporty clothes, and although I never post pictures of me in any of my sport-like outfits, I decided to today.  This sweatshirt is new and awesome and BRIGHT!!  And I love it, even though it may not be chic, it's sporty, and that is probably a better description of my true style anyway.
What I'm Wearing:
Sweatshirt: Nikita
T (underneath): Nike
Pants: UnderArmor
Shoes: Asics, the best and most comfortable shoes made for a workout, also wearing Asics socks

I know this is way different than any other post I've done, but I just have to be honest with what I wear the majority of the time that I'm not dressed for work/school/church/date nights/ etc. Have a fabulous Friday!
