It’s Our 80th Challenge at Sassycheryls!!

This weeks challenge is to make a candy wrapper, bag or box.
I made a candy bag for Christmas!

  • Sassycheryls digital image- Star Watching Snowman
  • Sentiment is SU
  • SU paper white, bashful blue.
  • Plastic zip bag, MS border punch, ribbon, glue dots, CB embossing folder, dimensionals, Copic markers, stickles, self sticking snowballs, and of course……..candy!

Lavender, White and Green

That’s what the challenge is this week at Sassycheryls Challenge Blog this week.  Such pretty colors!
I tried something new this week…….pom pom flowers!  Yes…..they are made with bakers cord and a fork!!!

Stitch it Up at Sassycheryls!

That’s right……this weeks challenge is to do stitching either real or faux on your card.

Here is my card-

When it comes to stitching, I would rather do it by hand, then I know the line is straight. ( that’s my OCD kicking in!).  I guess I really need to practice more with the sewing machine.

As an added touch I sewed love knots on each scallop on the top.

“What’s Bugging You?”

Hi everyone!

This weeks challenge at Sassycheryl’s is “what’s bugging you?”

At first I thought I would use an image with Cheryl’s wonderful lady bugs on it…..but then I remembered the image I bought to make a card for my grandson’s first day of school.
I remember my first day of school…I DID NOT want to go!!!!!!  My Mother chased me down the block with the wooden spoon…… what a sight that must have been!

Any way……..here is my card-

What’s Your Fold?

Hi everyone!  It’s August already??????  Where is time going?

We were on holidays for a week last week.  We had our 2 grandkids here and we still managed to get the last of the painting (and other stuff) DONE!!!!!!!!!  We are so happy to be at the end!  It took a total of 3 weeks of working our butts off!!!!!

This weeks challenge at The Sassycheryls Challenge Blog is to make a card using a different fold that what we normally do. I chose to make a Joy fold card.

Ribbon and Lace Challenge

This week at the Sassycheryls Challenge Blog we have been challenged to make a card using ribbon and lace.
I used a lace paper doily and ribbon with my flowers.

It’s a Circle Challenge at Sassycheryls!

Good morning everyone!
I have been working hard here getting some stuff done in order to be ready for this Friday.  My daughter and and the 2 grandkids are coming.  I will be keeping the kids for a week while their Day care is closed.  Guess I better get my running shoes on to keep up with them!! LOL!

Challenge day at Sassycheryls!

Good morning everyone and welcome to another challenge  at Sassycheryls Challenge Blog.
The challenge today is to make a card using home made paper ribbon.  This stumped me for a bit.  Was not sure what to do and then I got my idea.

As you can see I pulled two colors from my background Dp. to make stripes on my paper.
What I used to make my card-

  • Buckle for faux ribbon, Copic markers, Spellbinder dies, pearls, oval punch, sentiment is by SU. dimensionals, glue dots, prismacolor pencils.

Happy Father’s Day…from your little Girl……

Good morning everyone and welcome to a new challenge at Sassycheryls Challenge blog.
It is my challenge this week.  I asked my team mates to make a Father’s Day card.  The card I made would have been perfect for my Dad if he were here.
I got to finally visit his and Mom’s grave on Sunday. I tried to get to it once during the winter but the snow was too deep.

Sassycheryls Challenge #66

This week our challenge is to make a gift card, tag or box using a wonderful digital image of our choice from Sassycheryls.com.  I used one of Cheryl’s newer images found here.
It doesn't show up well but the yellow parts of the butterfly’s wings have glitter on them. Here is a side view to show I layered the wings.

  • Funky Butterfly digital image
  • SU white and brocade blue paper. DP by Making memories.
  • Paper piercer and thread to hand sew around the DP and on the image.  Button, Bakers cord, Copic markers, black and white gel pens, glue dots, dimensionals, SU scalloped border punch, stickles.
  • sentiments are SU.

Our challenge today is to make a Patriotic card. I am a very proud Canadian and am thankful everyday that this is where I was born and raised.  I have lived all over Canada with my Dad being in the Canadian Air Force and am now happy to call Saskatchewan home.

Sassycheryls Challenge 64

Good morning everyone!  The weeks are flying by way to fast for me…seems like I just did a post LOL!
This week we have been asked to make a card  with the image on kraft paper.  When I printed mine, my first thought was will my Copics work on this…..the answer was no…….so I pulled out my Prisma color pencils and they worked perfect.  It has been awhile since I used them!
