Versamark Ink Designer Choice MPCT

 Hi all,

This month I am going to choose Versamark Inks as my Designer Choice of products with Megan's Paper Craft Treasure. I simply LOVE this ink..

Check out the video here: A Card With Versamark Ink..

VERSAMARK INK

VersaMark is the original watermark ink and is used for heat embossing. It is loved by paper crafters for its exceptional quality and versatility. VersaMark's tackiness makes it ideal for use with Embossing Powders, pearlescent powders and chalks.

What is difference between dye and pigment ink?

How does watermark ink work?

Watermark Ink constitutes of resins that permeate through stock in liquid form without hardening at room temperature and enables watermarks by varying the transmissivity of the light. Use for resin letterpress or offset printings. Conduct pre-use tests on non-coated paper to ascertain the printability of watermarks.

Once dry, stamped images are waterproof and will not smear. Images are light fast and fade resistant. The Versamark Ink pad produces more than twice as many images as a standard pigment ink pad.

Stamp your image onto text-weight paper to explore the possibilities of watermarking, or stamp subtle tone-on-tone images onto coloured cardstock.

VersaMark is so sticky that it will act as a "glue" for different mediums.

VersaMark Dazzle Watermark Stamp Pads combine all the great qualities of the original VersaMark with added shimmer to give your paper projects an easy touch of elegance.

Perfect for a myriad of techniques including monochromatic and watermark effects ..

Ideal for embossing and providing a base for chalks and pigment powders.

Heat-set on glossy papers and brayer over with Memento dye inks for a
shimmering resist effect

Use on dark papers for a subtle sparkling image

Excellent for background designs

Water-based, archival and acid-free

Embossing: Use the VersaMark ink pad for heat embossing projects. Because VersaMark is a clear ink, you can use the embossing powder colour of your choice without the colour of the pigment pad showing through the embossed powder.

Watermark: Create a great tone-on-tone effect by stamping on a piece of coloured card stock. The image appears a deeper shade than the card stock and is perfect for subtle backgrounds.

It is normal for Versamark Ink pads to become dirty, don't panic it's ok to use still.. I use mine mostly to emboss with embossing powder so it doesn't show any colour on the inked image that was on the pad.. I have several pads, one for embossing and one to use only on white papers so it stays nearly clean lol..

I hope this has helped you in some way.

A chat and a Few Crafty Things..

Hi all,
Well it has been awhile since I last blogged but a lot has happened in that time..
My hubby had a heart attack, he's fine but it was scary at the time.. I have been in hospital and my little granddaughter has also been in hospital.. My brother had a heart attack, a few people have passed and lots more..
I hadn't had time to craft but did manage to create a few things the last week so that has
been a relief.. I do miss it when I don't get to craft often (and cranky my darlin hubby says lol).

Love these girls from My Bestie's, coloured with copics..

I created these cute magnet cards with the ATC Koin being detachable ..

My favourite one.

Love this Tilda card..

I hope I have inspired you
to create glorious things.

My Take on Wendy keep Sake Box Challenge -AVSC -NSD

Hi all,

Finally I made Wendy's keepsake Box for the Aunty Veras Scrap and Craft  NSD challenge..
Thank you Wendy for the tutorial which you can find here.
p.s I will be making the journals to go into it later as I love how she created the spine.

The box is made now for the fun stuff decorating..

I love this piece of paper but wanted to make a shaker card for the front of the box so I cut the middle bit out and used the frame as the shaker.

I stamped and die cut the sun flowers from Heartfelt Creations and after shaping them glued tiny beads in the middles.

The shaker card made for the front. I followed Sue's challenge here when I made my journal and called it 'It's all about me'..
One of my favourite things is butterflies. I love them all.

The box with the lid off and by the way I love how Wendy designed the lid..

The journal and Keepsake Box ...

I couldn't find a handle so created one out of paper and believe or not a sample of wall paper.
I sewed around the handle to give it strength..

Sue's  Challenge you can see that here was to create a album all about you..

Journal opened from the front..

I hope I have inspired you
to create glorious things.

Australia Day 2019

Hi all,
Australia Day is here YAH!!
My goodness another year and again we celebrate what it means to be an Australian..
To me it means Family, Caring, Acceptance and lately Heat lol...
I love Australia..

My granddaughter Charlie who loves these glasses and blowing whistles lol

Astaria who like Charlie thinks nothing of wearing gumboots in 38 degrees heat lol..

This is what my granddaughter Aimee and her friends are doing..
Have you all noticed my grass the kids are standing on?? That my friends is my front lawn; yes I repeat my front lawn. We are on tank water in the bush and since it has been so hot it has killed most of my grass and flowers though it doesn't stop the older ones from sitting on the veranda having a beverage or two lol..

At my daughters pool which is happening a lot lately, and little Emmie is not sure if she likes it or not.. Charlie loves her pool floatie lol.

And when not at the pool then at the beach. I love this photo even if Astaria's half butt is showing lol
(she is just like her dad).. Charlie were is your hat??

And just because, here are a couple of fun facts..

1. Pub With No Beer, by Slim Dusty was the first Australian international number one. It was also the first single to go Gold... (Yah go Country Music)

2. Men At Work, 1983 were the first Australian group to win a Grammy award. They had a number one single and a number one album in America at the same time..

3. The first university was opened in Australia in Sydney in 1850. It wasn't until 1881 that the university of Adelaide was the first university to allow women to study..

Have a wonderful Australia Day..
Slip, Slop, Slap

We Are Home...

Yah we are home!! after six months of travelling around this gorgeous country of ours (and still not seeing even a fraction of it), we finally arrived back in Tassie yesterday..

We caught the Tasmania TT Lines ship home and it was smooth sailing all the way.  The ship is not huge in the entertainment section by any means yet I still managed to get lost trying to find a hot chocolate drink lol..

I loved our trip though did have some moments when I thought I want to go home not because of home sickness but because of breakdowns and things needing to be fixed, travel is after all not without its drawbacks sighh. Which is a bummer really as that is what I think of first as I looked back on the trip and not all the wonderful thing we had seen and done.  My son Saul said at least its a trip you wont forget and as to that he is spot on..

Anyways enough about that for the moment let me show you some wonderful pictures I had taken then I will get on to showing you what I created on the road.. Some places just blew my mind and others I thought WTH is with that and others again just WOW.

just a taste of the thousands of photos I have yet to go through and place in their folders..
