Placenta Previa

Well I out of the hospital after staying from Friday around 1pm to Sunday around 11am! 

 I had a HUGE, SCARY, NOT CUTE, HOLY SHIT bleed from placenta previa at home on Friday at noonish.  Jake rushed home from work, Mom rushed over and we headed to the hospital.  

Got there, they stuck a nice IV needle in my arm, hooked baby up to monitors, checked my cervix and told me not to move!  I finally got the OK that I could get up and go to the bathroom which was a small victory for me.  I then had an ultrasound to check the placenta (still a partial previa) and was told I would be in the hospital for at least 48 hours.  I was devastated.   I also started a round of steroids for babys lungs.  Mom and Jake stayed til about 7pm.  Worst. Night. Ever.  I didnt sleep at all and just wanted to go home.  Luckily the bleeding had stopped so I just continued to lay there hoping it wouldnt start back up so I could go home Sunday!  

Saturday I was greeted by the nurse at 5am for a blood draw and was told i would be able to shower..with an IV in my arm and wheeled in next to my shower (now that was one interesting shower!)..was able to get breaks off the monitor which helped.  Got my second round of steroid shot and then Jake came later in the day and stayed til about 8:30pm.  They let me go outside for 30min so Jake wheeled my out and we made the best of our 2 seconds of fresh air!  I didnt want him to leave.  Luckily I was able to get some sleep off and on during the night.  

Sunday I waited and waited til the OB came and made her rounds (which was late thanks to the weekend!) but I was told I could go home!!  I am now on bedrest (can only get up to shower, bathroom, eat)..no more work.  I feel like a waste of space!  Placenta previa blows!!  I just hope this little boy stays in MUCH longer (34 weeks tomorrow!).  He was 4 pounds 13 oz on Friday when I had the ultrasound.
