Get ready for.....snow!

'Tis Friday night, and Christmas is coming.....but so is winter!  We might be seeing some snow tomorrow, but hopefully only flurries.  We've been spoiled so far, but soon I'll be looking forward to spring!  Tomorrow I'm headed to Toronto, with two of my daughters, where we will be taking in the One of a Kind Show.  Here's hoping I find lots of ideas for Christmas.

So, to get in the mood....how about another Christmas card.  This one uses the adorable Merry Christmas image from Just Inklined,  Even snowmen like to celebrate....and they don't have to shop!

This time I coloured in the background, which better defines the image, adding some glossy accents to the glasses and glamour dust to the snow.  I've cut and matted the image, using the Spellbinders Labels Two die, and created the fancy border with the Frostyville die from Memory box.

I tried something different with the sentiment....after stamping and heat embossing, I cut around it and then cut a backing in the red cardstock.  This really helps it to stand out.  A couple of MS punches for the snowflake and greenery, some peel-offs for the border, a few gems and a bit of Candi embellishment provide the finishing touches.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend....maybe some shopping, or perhaps just some time with family and friends.  Take care, and beware of those snowmen under the influence!  (lol)

Now for some fun challenges for my card:

  5. Beautiful card, Joyce. Those snowmen are so cute and it sure looks like they have gotten into the Christmas spirit(s) :) I love how you've embellished the image with gloss and glitter. Beautiful colours and die cuts and the sentiment looks great too - it really does pop. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Creatalicious Challenges and best of luck.

  6. Snowflakes are my favourite at the moment and this is a gorgeous card. The colours and textures really look superb and contrast with the whites beautifully.
The rain in the UK is apparently awful at the moment with so much flooding but I am away on a winter break, never done it before, but enjoying some sunshine. Thanks for all your lovely visits and comments.
    Take care.
