Clean and Simple in Green

Well, it's that time again....for another challenge at Charisma Cardz.  Nice and easy, we are looking for cards with a Clean And Simple style.  So today, there's no colouring on my card....just some stamping and some stenciling.

This is a new stamp that I've added to my collection (Scots Pine), and it has such lovely detail.  No ribbons or embellishments, just a stenciled border for a bit of added interest and a pretty sentiment.  I think I'll have to do more of these....really CAS!

Prize #1

Not meant for crafting...

Good morning!  Are you ready for a new challenge at Charisma Cardz?  This time our theme is to Use something that is not meant for crafting.  I had a bit of difficulty with this one....I thought everything was meant for crafting!  lol.  Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT is sharing, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what you can come up with.

My card today uses the image...Dishcloth Dave, available from Dr Digi, one of our sponsors.  He's been coloured with copics, then cut out using the Spellbinders Labels Twenty Three die and the 'out of the box technique'.  Liquid applique adds some dimension to the soap suds, and I added a bit more to the sentiment.

Searching for that little something for our theme, I found some packaging string.  After untwisting, I tucked it in behind the top layers and fastened with staples.  This layer is attached with foam tabs, which gives added dimension plus allows for the extra thickness of the string.  The scraggy bits of string give a bit of a look of a scrub brush.

So onto our sponsors.  This week we have three, with some lovely prizes.

Today I've used a sponsor's (Pink Cat Studio - Clown Owl's Car) image and I'm sure you will notice those nice warm colours!  Coloured with copics, I've stayed with a nice simple design, adding some washi tape and paper candi for embellishments.

Greetings everyone, and hopefully you are almost ready for Christmas.  We have an Anything Goes challenge today over at Charisma, and you will have an extra week to enter your projects.  We know it is a very busy time of the year, but hopefully you will get a wee bit of time to yourself for some crafting.

I have another Christmas card, but this time it is more along the CAS line.  I made a couple of these, for those last minute posts.  Nice and simple using a stamp from a local supplier (Under Construction).  I heat embossed the image with copper embossing powder, adding copics and DI for the colour.  Only cardstock layers, a doodled border and a poinsettia flower to finish it off.

Charisma Distressed Challenge

Tis the 5th of December....only 20 more days!  Wow!  I'm sure some of you are on top of things and all ready for the big day....I'm not in that number!  I'm thinking that I might best start a list....checking it twice...or more.

I'm just about finished with my Christmas cards, only to find that I needed a few more, so here goes with another one.  This is my DT card for this week's challenge at Charisma Cardz, where the theme is DISTRESSED

Lots of distress ink on this one, and I've even torn the papers.  Quite the vintage feel, especially when you take the photo in the evening without natural lighting.  I had a play with my copics and a sponsor's image, cutting and then matting with a couple of die cuts.  Although the papers are rather muted, I used a bright turquoise for the image and embellishments.  Something just a little bit different.

Supplies used:
Time for Tea image - Catching Snowflakes
Papers from Melissa Frances - Home for the Holidays collection
Spellbinders die - Inverted Scalloped Circles
Cheery Lynn die - Ankara Lace

Once again, we have some wonderful sponsors, and if you click on the images below you can check out their products.

Prize One

Prize Three

(3 digital images of the winners choice from their etsy store)

Some lovely prizes there, and you could be one of the lucky winners!  We really hope to see your entry this week.  Be sure to check out all the other DT entries...lots of inspiration to be sure!

Brrrr but it's cold outside.   As I am writing this, the winds outside are howling and the furnace is going full tilt.  Here's hoping you are all keeping safe and warm.  Another week has disappeared, and today it's the start of another challenge at Charisma Cardz.  This time around, the theme is VINTAGE, and we are really hoping you can have a bit of fun and join us .

Here, I've had a play with one of our sponsor's sweet images, colouring it with copics, fussy cutting and then adhering with foam tabs.  A nice easy layout with some stamping, some lace and ribbon and a pretty sentiment.  The papers already had a distressed edging, but I added a wee bit more.

Supplies used:
Stamp Fairy image - Clementine 2
Basic Grey papers - Clippings collection
Whimsy stamps - sentiment and corresponding die
Ribbon from Sew Sweet.

Now for our wonderful sponsors for this challenge, and the prizes that you might win:

A chef in the making!

Hi there!  It was Thursday again, and time for another challenge at Charisma, but I'm a little late posting my card.  This week we are looking for your cards....using a FOOD theme.

I've gone with a nice simple design, using washi tape and gems, plus a delightful stamp and sentiment from Totally Stampalicious.  Although no longer available in the inky stamp format, this image can still be found at Bugaboo in the digital format.  I've used two different Spellbinders dies to cut and mat the image, and a bit of stitchy doodling to add a bit more accent to the card.

I really do cook with wine, something I learned from my husband, and it really does add a fantastic flavour to sauces and gravies.  Are you hungry yet?

This week's sponsors, with their wonderful product are as follows:

PRIZE ONE

PRIZE TWO

A Bingo Challenge

Hello again.  Time for another challenge at Charisma, and this time it's a BINGO theme.

I'm not too sure if my card will actually meet this week's challenge, as there was a bit of a glitch with the instructions, and I made this card before the correction.  I'm away on holidays right now, but I thought I would go ahead and post it anyway.

Here, I've played with one of our sponsor's images, colouring with copics with a bit of DI for the edges.  Look at all of those gem stones....I'm in awe of everyone who makes use of this type of embellishment.  I find I am all thumbs when attaching these swirly bits....probably the hardest thing for me to do!

The sponsors this week, with some lovely prizes are:
Prize 1

Pretty in Pink

Good morning all.  Today's a new challenge at Charisma and a nice easy one it is too!  The theme this week....Your Favourite Colour Combo.

I needed a card for a wedding shower and this sweet image from Stamp Fairy was just the ticket.

I played with a pink/purple colour combo, with just a touch of turquoise.  Nice feminine colours seemed best suited to the occasion.  After colouring with my copies, I added some flowers to the umbrella, after all we don't want a rainy day!

For the sentiment, I've used a Whimsy stamp and die....adding an embossed layer of polka dots, and then a computer generated wording.

Supplies used:
Paper from Wild Rose Studio - Spring Fling
Martha Stewart punch - Edge Doily Lace
Other - ribbon bow & gem from my stash

Once again we have some wonderful sponsors:

A little birdie told me....

Hang on a second while I check.....yep, it's Thursday again!  Where does the time go?  So, it's time for another challenge at Charisma, and this week the theme is Fancy Flourishes.

We can't hang on to summer forever, but we can still make a card to capture the feeling.   Today I've used an image from Pink Cat Studio, and you'll see my stamped flourishes around the base of the tree creating a background.  The sky is coloured with different chalks, and a touch of pink stickles adds a bit of sparkle.

The pretty papers are from Paper Mania, Burleigh Blue collection, while the pink die cuts add a nice bright contrast and complement the colours found on the image.  Otherwise, only a couple of pearls to finish off the butterflies.

Once again, we have some wonderful sponsors and some lovely prizes for some lucky winners.  Just click on the images below to check out their product.

How does your garden grow....

It's time for a new challenge at Charisma, and this week we are looking for your cards with more than one fold.  Lots of opportunity there, to show your creativity....and have a little bit of fun.  Be sure to check out the projects from the rest of the team for some wonderful ideas and inspiration.

Today, I've gone with a centre step card, and an image from one of our sponsors.  This little cutie has been coloured with copics and can be found here, at Saturated Canary.  The flowers in my garden don't look quite this lush, thanks to the heat and dry spell that we are experiencing, and in reality...summer is nearly over.  Where did it go???

Once again, I used the 'out of the box' technique with my Spellbinders die.  As you might have noticed, I cut on the angle this time using 2 different sizes and sponging some DI on the edges.

The papers are from Paper Mania's Burleigh Blue collection, and you will see I've used a number of die cuts, some pink pearls and a pretty blue bow for embellishment.  To make the butterflies, I backed the die cut with vellum, colouring the openings with glitter pen and adding stickles to the body.
Dies used:
 Spellbinders - Deckled Rectangles
 Impression Obsession - Fence die
Cheery Lynn - Exotic Butterfly small
Whimsy Stamps - Vine die and Birthday Sentimentables

Once again, we have some lovely prizes up for grabs this week from our very generous sponsors, and if you click on the pictures below, this will take you directly to their site.

Handmade Flowers

Good morning....it's Thursday again, and time for a new challenge at Charisma.  This week we are looking for you to make your own embellishment.  Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's wonderful creations for some great ideas!

So we'll start with the flowers, which are die-cut from some lightweight mulberry papers.  I then added some colour and doodles, plus some gemstones for the centres.  I've placed them on another die cut which I think looks like a trellis.

This time, I played with water colours for the image, with lots of DI around the die-cut edges.  If you look closely, you will see I also added dots to the edging, both here and on the corner pieces which were made with a corner punch.  All dies and punches are listed below.

Supplies used:
Basic Grey paper - Sweet Threads collection
Magnolia stamp - Tilda with Spring Bundle
Elizabeth Craft Designs die - Bunch of Flowers 2
Marianne's Craftable Die - Swirls and Leaves 3
Spellbinder's dies - Fleur de Lis Squares & Labels Twenty
Martha Stewart corner punch - Double Arches

Hopefully you can spare some time to make a card and join in with us this week, as once again we have some lovely sponsors.  Here they are with some fabulous prizes, and by clicking on each image you can see their product.
