A Butterfly Get Well

Hello All and Happy Friday!   Robin here sharing another card made for Great Impressions.

I am a huge fan of butterflies so when I saw this stamp I just had to get it.  This is called "Delicate Butterflies" (C413).  I stamped it all over the card with Versamark and then embossed it with Super Fine Black.  The stamp is rather small and I wanted to make sure you could see the definition.  I used some distress inks to make them flying in the sky then colored them with Copic markers. The sentiment is part of a set called "Sweet Sentiments" (E791).  It includes "Thinking of You" and "Happy Birthday" along with the "Get Well".  I really like the font for this.  I die cut the circle of butterflies and then stamped in the center.  It looked a little off so I stamped some butterflies there too.  I added ribbon and flowers to finish it off. Fancy Pop Up

Happy Tuesday!

 

 

Not 100% sure what style of card this is, so I have dubbed it a Fancy Fold Pop Up Card.  Does that work?  I used the beautiful Great Impressions flower stamp F553 Large Stitched Flower as my 'Pop Up' as well as the AA24 Solid Sunflower and the Thinking Of You Sentiment from  E791 Sweet Sentiments. 



The solid sunflower is stamped in More Mustard on the strip and again in Antique Linen on the tag.  I also used a Sakura Black Glaze pen to accent the stitched flower. 

 

Swiss Dots Embossing Folder to add some texture, pretty yellow gingham ribbon, button and Jute Twine as accents.  Classic Circle and Stitched Tag dies used.

Note Cards

Happy Tuesday! 

A couple of little note cards and matching envelopes.



These were created using several Great Impressions stamps, C270 Butterfly Trio, D508 Fun Flower Border and E791 Sweet Sentiments. 

 

I randomly stamped the flower border image all over on a larger piece of card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  Then I cut it in half creating smaller panels, one for each note card.   I also created 2 panels with texture using a Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. 

 

 

Added my colored butterfly image and each sentiment to a piece of card stock, die cut using Classic Circles, layered onto a piece of lime green card stock die cut using the Scallop Circles.  A little bit of ribbon to dissect each panel and a few pretty pink rhinestones for accent.  I may make a few more of these note cards and perhaps a box as a gift set.  Everyone loves those!

Scandinavian Inspired Tulips

Hi, friends!  I'm here with another fun card using darling stamps from the Great Impressions online store to brighten your Monday and start your week off right!  Today, I'm sharing a card that was inspired by my Scandinavian heritage...

Here's my inspiration~

I LOVE the way these colors look on the dark background, and I adore the use of a repeated dot pattern.  Those were my inspirations when creating this card.  Take a peek...

The image, H251 Tall Tulips, was the perfect choice for this technique.  I heat embossed it in white onto black cardstock.  I then did a white ink wash onto the middles of the image.  I took a colored pencil and colored over the white, then around the image.  The last setp was to add the dots with a silver Sharpie marker.

The sentiment, one of the sayings from E791 Sweet Sentiments, was heat embossed in white onto vellum.  I added it to the card using dimensional foam.  The faceted gems cover those up. ;)

To tie everything together, I added more dots as a border around the panel.  I also decided to add some purple glitter paper to my card base for added texture and shine.

I LOVE the way this turned out!  I adore the effect that this technique creates--don't you?  I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

Happy Birthday Cupcakes

Happy Tuesday!  Happy Birthday!

I have a yummy little birthday card to share with you today!

This birthday card uses the sweet little E790 Cupcake Trio and the Happy Birthday Sentiment from the E791 Sweet Sentiments set. 

Lots of added accents to add a bit of celebration to this card; Banner Flags topped off with Striped Enamel Brads, Baker's Twine, Glitter Sequins, Perfectly Pierced die, and Scallop Border die on the inside.  Images colored with Copic Markers.

 

I also topped the cupcakes off with some purple glitter.
