Bunny Buns

Happy Saturday!

I'm here today with a fun card for Great Impressions Stamps.
I posted a card a few days ago, using some 'front and back' bunnies
Today, I'm using some new 'front and back' stamps!

For today's card, I used Great Impressions F602-Bunny Peeking InB245-Wishing You a Happy Easterand D493-Bunny Buns.

Hope you smiled at this one!  The pieces on these two were not shaped totally alike, so I had to use my imagination a bit to make the window card work

Don't forget - there are still a couple of days to join us in this month's 'Go Green' challenge (HERE!). If you use any GI stamps be sure to link up to the customer gallery (HERE)

Happy Easter Tu Tu You...

Happy Saturday!
Hope you are all well, and enjoying a beautiful weekend.
Mother Nature is still pretty crabby here in Mo.

It's Saturday, and you know what that means - I'm here to share a fun project for

The Great Impressions' design team has been busy all week long, showcasing fun and fabulous ways to wrap up those Easter treats.  If you haven't been checking out the posts this week, be sure to do so - loads of inspiration!

I began with a white lunch bag, and two squares of blue cardstock.

I laid the bag down, turned it over, and smoothed the back 'bag bottom' down flat.

Then I trimmed the entire bag down several inches.

I stamped and colored the image and sentiment, and adhered that panel
to a piece of fun patterned paper.

A grass die cut was added to the bottom for a bit of fun.

This entire focal panel was then adhered to one of the blue cardstock squares.

A label punch was used to create openings on each blue panel,
and each panel was adhered to the bag front with Tombow Extreme adhesive.

The bag was filled with pink grass and lots of Easter candies, and tied shut with
a scrap of ribbon.

Hope this inspired to you grab that stash of lunch bags, and your Great Impressions
Stamps, and get creative!  By the way, isn't this image Tu Tu cute???

Thanks for stopping by today!

Jelly Beans, Friendship, and Great Impressions!

Good morning - happy weekend to you all!

It's Saturday, and my day to post here on the Great Impressions Stamps blog.
This week found me creating with bright, fun colors,
and I thought that these delicious stamps that I found in the Great Impressions Store
would be perfect with the pink, green, and white color scheme.

for my card.  Aren't they adorable?  That jar looks so real!  Makes my mouth
water for the yummy little jelly beans inside!

This was pretty easy to do!
The card base was created, and scored.
A white panel was cut, and adhered to the card base.
Then, a white circle and a green circle were created with some circle dies.
The white circle was dry embossed with a big 'dotty' folder.
The sweet pink paper -it was edged with an old border die.
The sentiment was stamped on white, and cut out into the fishtail shape.
The jelly bean jars were stamped on white, colored with markers and fussy cut.
The top jar is adhered directly to the card front.
The pink strip is mounted with very thin dimensional foam.
The jar on the left was adhered with a thicker dimensional foam.

This one just made me smile - how about you?

Today is Jammie Day Sunday for Great Impression Stamps, so pull up your chair and browse a wee bit! Don't forget your oaties and cocoa-I have lots of pics to peek at!!!

I always make lots of fun little  Easter treat holders to give out, so today you are seeing this cute little egg basket I cut with my Silhouette-fast and east. I then colored up my critters and attached them with pop dots.   You will recognize some of these critters as I am more than happy to give my stamps lots of love!

Great Impressions Peeking Bunnies

I do hope you can switch you jammie day along with me-I will be posting on Sundays now...so grab your oaties and steaming hot cocoa and here we go.

I have always loved these little bunnies peeking out from their windows! Today I had lots of scraps on my desk and I picked up these polka dot papers and thought they looked fun together. Such sweet little paper pieced bunnies!  I cut some 1/2 inch strips, and then cut the flag points with a square SU punch and glued the strips onto the white background piece. I used the cute little Happy Easter sentiment stamp again! Yep, I love it that much! This type of card is a great way to use up little bits of scraps.

See you next week!

Jammie Day Saturday -Easter Penguin

 Good Morning!

I do hope you can take a few minutes to browse today! Grab your cocoa, your bowl of oaties, slip on your bunny slippers and here we go!!!!!!

I had a different card all made up to show you today and then I stumbled on to this wonderful sketch at I {heart} sketches. Such inspiration, I had to put the other card on hold and spend my evening last night making this cutie. Funny how that works sometimes...a plan gets stuck in your head and you just have to go with it!

I stamped this cute little Great Impressions Easter Penguin in Versamark Black so that the penguin stamped nice and black. I carefully colored him with copics (versamark tends to smear with copics-be careful). Actually funny how a card can develop around a BOO BOO! I had this little penguin all colored and cut into a rectangle when I realized he was leaning-alot...oopsie...so I cut him out with an oval nestie so that it made him stand up straight and then added  him to a rectangle-problem solved! And I  like it better this way too! A little mistake can make me think out of box and I usually come up with something I like better! How about you??  Do you like your revamped boo boo's better?

The sentiment is the same one I used last week and maybe next week and next week and next....oh can you tell I love this little stamp?

I hope you can take a few minutes to visit and browse the pretty creations posted by the DT this week. We try to post new inspiration everyday! You have a few more days to join in our monthly challenge HERE as well.

I will be waiting for you with my bunny slippers keeping my toesies toasty and we can visit next Saturday--- and you can see the card that was originally made for today-another fun and of course colorful creation!!!

Bunny Backs

Hello! Happy Monday! This is Cheryl from Shestamps.

For my project, I decided to make something for spring. I’m not sure if it is wishful thinking or not, but I hope that it is on it’s way. Let’s all hope that Punxsutawney Phil is accurate in his forecast this year.

Anyhow, these sweet little bunnies made me think of spring and warmer weather. Aren’t they cute?

I also masked off part of the image and stamped one of the bunnies on the inside of my card along with a sentiment from Great Impressions Stamps.

Happy Happy Easter

Jammie Day Saturday!

Happy Happy Easter!!!

Easter here we come! Today I am showing you a fun little "eggie" card with A Bunny Hug (E529) and a Happy Easter sentiment hidden inside when -just  crack the egg!

The brad on this card holds the hinge together to make the card easy to open.  I attached the Bunny to the bottom part of the egg so that it moves out of the way to show off the sentiment inside when opened!

I hope you are enjoying your weekend sleeping in and browsing a few blogs in your jammies! I wish I was, but I am heading off to see the little Grandsons and celebrate Lukeys' 3rd birthday-my how time flies!

Be sure to check out the latest creations by the rest of the Team this week!

See you all next Saturday !!!

Some Bunny Loves You

Happy Friday and thanks for taking the time to visit the Great Impressions Blog. Hope your Valentine's Day celebration was special. I love making cards for this holiday and gave everyone of them away. So mine was special in that I spread some love around.

Now it's time to begin thinking about Easter or spring cards. I make a lot for this holiday as well. And, today I am showing you my first one.

I used the Great Impressions Stamp -bunny with carrot E573. I colored this little cutie with prismacolor pencils and gamsol and also some Spectrum Noir markers. My sentiment is the C343 stamp and to get the placement I wanted my stamp-a-ma-jig came in handy.

I added some bright designer paper, used some banner dies and an embossing folder to create my "some bunny loves you" card.

That's it for me for this week. So until next time.......inky hugs!!

Easter Chicks Tag

When the stamps for February's Stamp of the Month program were revealed I fell in love with this basket of chicks - Easter Chicks - stamp! Every time I see it I think, "Bless This Nest" because it reminds me of a house full of busy kids...oh...that's my house!

The 'patterned' papers were made using Distress Inks (Victorian Velvet, Vintage Photo, Wild Honey and Tea Dye) and the Damask Background stamp. The 'Easter Greetings' banner was part of the Easter Greetings stamp - just stamp and cut out the parts you need.

The little buds in this image remind me of pussy willows, so a bit of appliqué and the heat gun and voila! fuzzy buds!

Some other fun tidbits about this project...that orange seam binding is ribbon I dyed last year using the leftover dyes we had used for the eggs! It makes beautiful ribbon colors!

Use foam tape in a hidden place and stick your pin into the foam. It helps to anchor your pin and keep it from falling out.

Okay...time to get busy...speaking of...there's a little bit of time left to enter our Monthly Challenge!

Hurry quick! The deadline is the 31st...

Early Easter Greetings! Pillow Box

Good morning!

After that great blog hop this past weekend I've got 'eggs' on the brain! Sometimes I get going on a theme and that's all I think about for awhile...at least until I'm inspired to move on to something else! So, this Thursday morning I've got a quick project for you...

This is a pillow box! I find them so useful for when you need a quick little something for your friend, neighbor, the Sunday school kids or you just need one more pressie to fill out a gift.

You can find templates for pillow boxes in all sizes to trace onto the back of card stock, cut, score and assemble. Fortunately, for me there are cutting files available and dies, too!

I cut this pillow box out of patterned card stock and stamped and embossed the Easter Greetings stamp onto white card stock. As with a lot of projects, you could whip out a bunch of these with a little planning and better yet, a little help!

What are you working on? Is it your entry for the March Challenge?

If you want to know how to enter, read the Challenge #1 post...

Have a great day!

Inky hugs,
Angi
