Crocheting

I have lot of yarn in my stash, and I have decided to use up yarn that has been lying around for a long time before I'm 'allowed' to buy new yarn :) Lises baby girl, Ella, was next in line for a little handmade something.

I used up all my blue cotton - in fact I had to add extra stribes in purple when I ran out of blue yarn near the end. I even tried to find another ball from the same dye lot, but that wasn't possible. I like the stripes, though. They make the cardigan more girly, I think :)

Hooked inspiration

I met with both knitters and crocheters who inspired my to do a little crocheting myself. I'm not very good at it, but I'll keep practicing.

A few months ago I went to IKEA and bought this pillow; I knew I wanted to make some kind of pillow case in the near future. The pillow has been lying around and no pillow case was made. Until now. Or, at least I think it will turn into a pillow case :)

I made eight of these granny squares and then ran out of the orange ShibuiSock in the centre of each square. A thing lightly to happen when only scrap yarn is used. So now what? I dunno. Only time can tell.

Baby Bibs!

Thank God for inferior yarn leftovers from the local supermarket! These bibs are so easy to do. So I usually make one if I want to see a film, talk to my sweet Moe AND be very crafty at the same time :)

Baby Bibs.... again!

I don't really know that many people who drool enough for me to give them a homemade bib. The thing is that I had some yarn leftovers from the Pellefant project and I couldn't just leave them. The pattern, which is soooo incredibly easy, comes from...

Elephant - Pellefant

I finished 'Pellefant'.... and gave him away :)

I had seen a picture of this sweet elephant in pastels, and this specific picture stirred up a desire to grab my crochet needle again.... I just HAD to make an elephant! After having looked for, ordered and received both pattern and yarn Pellefant was born :)

Specs!
Pattern: I found the elephant in a HP Gruppen knitting(!) magazine - 'Småbørnsstrik nr. 8'
Yarn: Løvegarn, 'kick'. I chose strong colours since pastels aren't really my cup of tea.
Skeins: 3 of 50 g, but I only used around 100 g
Needle:
Start to finish: April-May 2007
For: Maja, my niece
Overall judgement: I love Pellefant!
