Cats report something is missing. I don't think it is us.
They'll be fine. Allan is on the job. And we all know what, as far as Janeway and Mio are concerned, is the main job.

Bonus Cuban cat via Peripatetic House Partner; she's been getting around again:
Nice cat, nice tile floor.I think this was about a leaf. When she's curled up demurely, Janeway looks a little thing ... then she extends.
Meanwhile, Mio, the nearly 20 pound monster cat, tries to sneak up on me enticingly. On the side windows of our house, we hang "glass curtains" (translucent curtains). After all, we're urban. Our neighbor's windows are less than 10 feet away. We give each other some privacy. But we still want the light.
Janeway and Mio seem to feel its their job to keep track of me. Might I escape? Might I go where they are are not allowed to go? --- that would be "out".

I had hoped to returned to this blog with post-vacation energy, but instead find myself tired and feverish. Tests say not COVID, so I should come around soon enough.
Of course, at any moment, this tableau can turn into a whirl of fluffed tales and flying leaps. But meanwhile, what an appealing posture! Might they be trying to tell a stupid human that it is time to open a can?
We flew home to the cats (and our people) yesterday. The felines seem happy enough to see us -- or at least to sleep alongside us.
But they both seem to accept that we belong here along with them. Bet they miss their friend Allan though.

The news of the Trump's guilty verdict came through while we sat in the gateway waiting for our cross-country flight. Erudite Partner shouted "GUILTY" to no one in particular. All sorts of women rushed up to high-five us.
The country has a long way to go, but we are in this together.
They seem fond of each other and mostly get along. But they are different.
Nearby, the bulk of big boy Mio sometimes makes him look just silly. We think they are both happy, but what do we know?
The cats greet each other to meet the day.
