No Respect for the Elders

CLIENT:  That gun doesn't even work.  It was my grandfather's from World War II.  It's older than I am!

ME:  Okay.

CLIENT:  It's probably even older than you are.

ME:  "Probably??"

If its a collectors item that is that old, it's probably not even a firearm under the penal code.

Don't worry, Murray. As the years pass, you'll find that those geezer comments more often come your way, and with less and less equivocation by the speaker. You've missed the point, Anon 11:13am. The penal code actually defines what a firearm is, and guns that predate a certain year are an exception to the definition of "firearm" that is used for criminal acts.
